Olivia Redvine is the main female lead in The Ascendants, she's strong-willed and determined, but has feelings and cares a lot about people, calm personality but has the ability to get serious and ferociously emotional in different situations.

Coralia Vanora is a Mermaid Shapeshifter, she has the ability to stay human but can control her powers, when touched by water she changes into Mermaid form, which is her biggest weakness, she can control elements of water in both forms. She's a really sweet girl, always positive and tries to keep everyone happy despite her own well-being.

Guz is the antagonists best friend, he's your typical idiotic jock style character, a real hype man. Always repeating what his friends say to hype them up and just acts very dumb and unaware.

Izabel Sutton is a thoughtless and horrible person, she only cares about herself, her power and her reputation, and instills fear in those who defies her. She's manipulative and cunning, very smart and intuitive.

Shae Reid is Izabel's best friend, and sometimes she doesn't know why. She's actually pretty nice and sweet when she's alone, but she puts on a front to be cool and popular, acting like someone she isn't, pretending to be mean and horrible, but in reality she cares and just wants to get through life easily, maybe one day she'll realise.

Elias Sorar is an English Teacher at the academy, and a head leader for one of the groups of students at the academy. He's usually serious when teaching, but has a sense of humor and interest, loves to joke and get into discussions, and cares truly about his students.

Professor Wox is the schools History Teacher, a very serious and agitated little man, as a gnome he usually gets made fun of and it makes him angry, which people find funny. He's a well-known historian though and his knowledge garners him respect, when people get serious.

Minori Chie is the schools Art Teacher, she is a calm talker and a very mysterious woman. She has a strange voice and the way she speaks makes her a mystery to most.

Ezrir Zel'goth is a demon, but he's a nice demon... he didn't choose to be born this way but he did choose how he acts, he's a very nice boy, always happy and friendly. He cares about people, but soon enough will the demon get out? I think so.

Tezzi is a weird and unusual girl, she doesn't really fit in with most people and they make fun of her for how she looks, but she doesn't care. She brushes it off and acts the way she likes, she's kinda badass because of it.

Alastair Beckett is an evil sorcerer, he loves to manipulate and play mind games, he's a genius. He knows how to get inside of people's minds and bends it to his will, using control and fear to instill evil all-over. He hates how Supernatural Kind aren't accepted in society and is on a crusade to destroy the human race, so the Un-natural can rule.
