The Arcane
Project Overview
This project is tied around RRP (Realistic Roleplay), so all voiceovers will be revolving around that. The Arcane (meaning hidden or secret) will be a tale told in a 2-3 video part series.
Annalyn Wellbrooks has seen Crowned King, a world famous horse that she rode for years, win merely 2 million dollars in prize funds. Through thick and thicker, Annalyn, or nicknamed Annie, has been at Crown's side. After a mysterious endeavor that Annie wasn't aware of, Crown was transported overseas for a short period of time and came back destroyed. Wounds, both mental and physical, have tapered the horse's mind into a deeper hole than anybody could have imagined.
The worst part? Leah Thompson, commonly referred to as "Mrs. Thompson", refuses to give up any information on what happened to her horse. A mere businesswoman that hires riders for her horse (as she hired Annie) gave up her horse to Annie without another word, causing suspicion to rise even higher.
As tensions build, Annie has no alternative but to turn to a trainer (Cristina Montgomery), bringing Crown to Kingsman Estates. Now with a horse that is close to inoperable with fear and terror, and a mystery that is yet to be unsolved. What happened to Crown overseas? Who did this to him? And who is yet to be uncovered?
All because an arcane past has been buried below the lies.

Annilyn Wellbrooks, mostly referred to as Annie, is a 26 year old female from Jorvik. She has been riding Crown for merely 8 years, since he was 8 years old (currently 16). With plenty of experience under her belt, Annie is at a loss for words and knowledge on how to fix her beloved horse, which was gifted to her in a lawsuit panic when Mrs. Thompson had no way to get rid of him quicker.
Annie is very passionate about Crown, which means a lot of emotional and hellbent lines, and a lot of narration parts.
"They say you have it….until you don’t. People would cheer our names, together, in unison. It was like music to my ears, and I knew I couldn’t have done it without him. Trophy after trophy, medal after medal, we were unstoppable."
It’s hard to say, I don’t remember much. I remember riding in one of our final shows, The Jorvik Medalists, we were taking our final turn before the last jump, and Crown tripped. Thankfully he caught himself, but I didn’t. I fell, and I don’t remember what happened. I woke up in a hospital, and I immediately went to check on Crown. The weird part? Crowned King was nowhere to be found, his groomer said that Crown’s owner, Miss. Thompson, had him transported overseas. She hasn’t done that, ever, so of course I was worried. I did some digging and before I knew it, Crown was back, but it wasn’t him.
No, I mean (frustrated sigh) It’s him, physically, but mentally? Crown was the ballsiest horse, he wouldn’t spook at a thing. Now he won’t let anybody touch him without sedatives? He won’t walk outside of his still without throwing a fit? It’s just- (small sob) Sorry, I know I am getting emotional and I should stay strong.
Leah Thompson - raised from filth and turned into something great. A true turnaround story. She is beautiful, fit, well managed, and everything a man wants and a woman wants to be. Except one flaw...Mrs. Thompson is pure evil. Over 800 horses have been in her barn since 20 years ago when she started, yet 20 of them have gone missing with no trace - that's 1 horse per year. Where have those horses gone?
Leah Thompson, previously owner of Crown before his "accident", has refused to give any information on what happened to the horse. With plenty of involvement, Mrs. Thompson is adamant in keeping her slate clean and clear, and out of press for obvious reasons. Now that she has wealth, why would she ever want to let it go?
"Cristina, nice seeing you. What brings you by? I have a few meetings to attend, mind if I cut this shorter than expected?"
"You have no right to ask about that, this is none of your business. You're a trainer, and quite frankly, I want to keep it that way. Don't make me ruin your career in Jorvik, because I can, and I will."
"Is that a threat? You're threatening me, Leah Thompson, the woman who owns half of the sport horses in Silverglade? I could make your life a living hell - no, actually, I will make your life a living hell for even questioning my part in this."
21 year old Charlie Wess is like any other college guy - broke and somewhat money hungry. Working for Leah Thompson has its pros and cons, but money is surely not one of those cons. Charlie is one of the main witnesses when Crown gets sent off to a mysterious place, but the problem is, he cares more about his job than the wellbeing of Crown.
Wess is quiet, shy, but also adamant in trying to help as much as he can. Will he be able to help them without being caught? Or will he pay the price for being on the good side of justice?
"Well, I worked for Mrs. Thompson since I was 15. I am turning 21 in a few months, so for 5 years at least. I-I did see someone leave her office and request Crown to be loaded up but- I shouldn't say anything, I will get fired."
"Listen, I told you, I didn't see anything. Please, leave me be, I need this job, I need to get through college."
"He was always a good horse, would never hurt a fly. Now whenever you get near him, he bucks and kicks. I have never seen a horse turn around that quick, even horses that were abused."
Eddie Fields is the definition of stubborn. Ornery, tired, and old. He is taking his retirement in Valedale, where he wants to say until his last breath, but Mrs. Thompson had other plans. Mr. Fields is the missing piece to the puzzle, but with his cornered and dark heart, what will it take to get him to spill the truth behind his part of the story?
"I am not sure what Mrs. Thompson told you, but I wasn't involved with what happened to Crown."
"Do you have a warrant? No? Then get off my property."
"You're young but you're smart. I like smart people, so I will shed some valuable information."
