"Val" is an aloof skater girl through and through; she's the kind of person you'd want to share a beer with. She's a tomboy, unbothered, and by every definition of the word: cool. Nothing seems to faze her. She runs on sarcasm and easy confidence and makes it look effortless.

That said, she has a little too much wisdom for someone her age. Her relaxed tone occasionally tips into cockiness — the subtle arrogance of someone who has been the smartest person in every room for a very long time and knows it. She is a manipulator who is just good enough at it that she doesn't bother hiding it completely.

She should feel like someone you'd trust immediately — and then begin trusting less and less, the more you realize who she is.
