Project Overview
"The Thomases" is a radio drama aimed at young adults in college. It follows the lives of around six families in the fictional rural town of Ambridge, somewhere in Britain. Most of the characters go to the local university, but leave occasionally in search of their fortune. All of the characters have their own dynamics, lives, and distinct personalities -- and, oh yeah, a lot of DRAMA. This is the second of three waves for the first season and the series is planned to premiere around fall time at the start of the next school year, towards the end of 2024. Actors and writers will be paid based on the project outcome and we hope to have the series everywhere from YouTube to Spotify and places between. Each and every audition gets a response!

Caroline likes a good time. After too many years of working as a seamstress on the third floor of a struggling fashion house, Caroline ventured to Ambridge in search of a new beginning. Before the sun had risen the next day, she had fallen in love with Ben.

Age: 60s and/or early 70s
Jill is the grandmother of the Thomases on their Dad's side of the family. She enjoys spending time with Bow and loves to garden in her free time. She's married to Jack Thomas and is a regular on the show, meaning that she appears in almost every episode -- so actors must be available to record. All the following lines are said while presenting an idea or imagining a vision.

"Sophia, stop sniffling, don't cry for no reason. We haven't missed the train yet, thank the Lord -- lovely, you're improving, now get all eleven pieces. We're seven minutes late... all aboard!"
"Wave your little hand and whisper, so long dearie! You ain't gonna see me, anymore -- but when you discover that your life is dreary... don't you come a-knocking at my door."
A live firecracker, Bu (pronounced Boo) is the aunt of the Wells’ children and sister of Daphne. Every and all social family events happen at the Lewis house and Bu serves all the entrees, too. She works part-time as a kindergarten teacher and can fix anything.

The husband of Bu and father of their two children, Calvin is looking forward to retirement. He currently teaches as a football coach for the local community college, but is underpaid for the work he does. Calvin loves seeing his kids move on or at least one.

The oldest, but he doesn’t act like it — and not in a good way. Brentley is almost 25 and still lives with his parents (Karen and Calvin) and he doesn’t have a job, either. He also has a baby with Paola Arturo, they both had to drop out of high school for the baby, Eli.

Daphne is overbearing for all the wrong reasons, but she sure does know how to parent. She is the leader of the household and is often checking on the kids all day, for various reasons, all making it debatable whether she loves her bed or her family more.

The assistant screenwriter for the first season of the series, you'll be in charge of coming up with storylines alongside me to set the stage for coming seasons. We'll create characters and edit before having actors record and produce lines.

A college student who graduated from high school two years early. He's kind-hearted and searches for the best in everyone. He's best friends with Paris Winslow and they both want to travel to Paris, France for a semester of their first year at university. All lines are said while envisioning a dream in this audition:

The best friend of the main character, Paris has no easy role. She's already been married off by her father to his business partner's son, Raymond, who's a major scaredy-cat. Paris wants to explore the world with Bow, but is often helping Raymond around the house. All lines are said while presenting a vision:

A late arrival to the university, Wendy sets her brown eyes on Bow and now she's all over him. Her one goal is to make sure that he's hers by the end of the school year and she plans to trample all over Paris (Winslow) to get him. Wendy is the one character that everyone loves to hate.

Age: 60s and/or early 70s
The husband of Jill Thomas, but he has his own views set far beyond the provence of rural Ambridge. Jack owns a small greenhouse in the town by the name Thomas and Thomas and encourages Bow to try gardening outside. Jack is a minor character, he appears a few times a season to help with the plot.

(surprised) "Easton Vanderbilt?! Casey Tucker?! Cara!!"
Age: 43
Casey is one of the sons of the founding family of the Town. He falls in love with Anna and develops a love for her. Despite the opposition from friends about her age and even her 2 children in addition to not having a set relationship of what they truly were, he was hoping to make her his wife, but was unsuccessful unfortunately… He may have a future love interest if his broken heart can help it. His last relationship was when he was 23 and it just didn’t work out. All the following lines are said with regret, slight optimism, and love.
