That's Not My Boyfriend (Visual Novel)
Project Overview
This project isn't 18+, but it is barely safe for work.
Sex is mentioned, not shown, no nudity, some blood. No heavy gore, but little gore-which might change to moderate gore, but it depends. Stalking, yandere behavior, murder, etc. The description will be updated as more content is made/solidified. No rape.
I am a minor as the main developer of this game, and will not be turning 18 this year.
Summary
TLDR: Your shitty boyfriend gets replaced by a doppelganger that appeases you. Do you mind?
You moved into town about one year ago to live with your boyfriend. Your boyfriend reaches out to you again to hug you from behind. You feel slightly uncomfortable, knowing what will follow next. As expected, his hand reaches lower and lower… you swat it away. You’re angry because he only reaches out to you because he wants to have sex, and you’re tired of it. You argue with him, and he complains that you nag him too much like you’re his mother or something. It especially hurts because he vents about his mother all the time… so you storm out of the house, take your keys, and drive to another parking lot, beneath a streetlight.
During the drive is a PSA about doppelgangers being in your area. But you never met one before, so you ignore it and shut it off-driving in autopilot. You soon reach a parking lot. You smoke, contemplating your relationship. You thought you could manage to date him awhile longer, because at least he’s hot as hell and perfectly your physical type. You manage to smoke until you get a headache after recalling a few painful memories, and drive home.
And yet, once you get home, you're greeted by a foreign version of Kade. He's overly nice and apologetic, making your will to break up wane. And yet something is off about him. Not just his complete 180 and promise to be better, but he seems overly emotional and reactive now. After dinner, you have a chill as you remember the PSA from the radio. But even if this Kade was a doppelganger, would you really mind? If things just stayed like this forever...
But it's never that simple.
*project image is a WIP, this project is very early on in development.
This is the male lead of this game. Before and after being replaced by a doppelganger, you will be voicing both versions. The original is a jackass and the doppelganger is a yandere that has a sweet, puppy-like side, but also a possessive and crazy one. He should have a soothing voice. He could be either white or east asian, doesn't really matter.
Baritone, soft, a bit raspy, but not too sultry. Be able to genuinely YELL the first line, please.

(Angry/Aggressive) "Hey! Where the hell do you think you're going?!"
(Lighthearted/Teasing) "I can smell the cigarettes. Not that I ever minded--is that why you don't want to hug?"
(Passive Aggressive but not obvious) "Don't worry, I already ate in the hours when you left me."
Someone who can make clear, coherent backgrounds in the right perspective while maintaining horror elements.
You will be given references you must follow! Probably screenshots of game/3D assets.

In charge of adding extra ambiance to the game by having looping music in the background. You should be able to make music that can sound lighthearted and tense or scary, while making sure all music can easily switch between each other seemlessly, having a clear theme

In charge of getting sounds like the humming of the refrigerator, opening/closing of doors, hum of a car driving, and more. The game will never be quiet, because the world never is!

Someone who can not only make art but photobash to make horror, a bit old-timey GUI for a visual novel with horror elements.

He's the 2nd male lead/love interest of the game. He currently has no official voice lines, but first appears on day 2 (which I haven't coded yet). He's a black american, and is a rather chill, jaded guy. Deep voice, deeper than Kade's.

He's an old friend of MC. He's a generally friendly guy, safe to be around. Not a love interest, but appears in day 1 for a flashback. Only two lines, maybe more in the future. Any race.

(Amicable) "Oh hey, Kade! I was just wondering if [Victor/Victoria] was ready yet..."
(Confused, defensive) "H-huh? [He/she] planned to go ice skating. We aren't going alone, so it's not like that! I'm just going to give [him/her] a ride, and--"
Designing clothing, hairstyles, and even facial structures of characters. I don't want someone who has limited knowledge in various racial features/has same face syndrome.
If you take heavy inspiration from another artist, make sure to make it individual enough to not be plagiarism.
