What is this?
This is a fan dub of Panel de Pon. A rather obscure puzzle that was released for the Super Famicon on October 1995.
The game takes place in Popples, a land where fairies live. One day, evil monsters invaded the land of Popples and caused an endless rainfall, which threatened to flood the entire world. What's more, they also placed a spell on its inhabitants, turning them all evil, except for the Flower Fairy, Lip. It is up to Lip to free her friends from the spell and rid Popples of these evil monsters!
Even if you have never heard of this game, you might be aware of one of the many variations of it.
Tetris Attack (SNES/GB) (1996) - A reskin of the original Panel de Pon that features characters from the Yoshi's Island series.
Pokémon Puzzle League (N64/GBC) (2000) - A reskin of the unreleased N64 version of Panel de Pon that features characters from the Pokémon Animated Series.
Dr. Mario & Puzzle League (GBA) (2005) - A compilation that, as its name may suggest, features a remade version of Panel de Pon as well as Dr. Mario.
Planet Puzzle League (DS) (2007) - An iteration of Panel de Pon that goes for a more futuristic theme as opposed to the fantastical setting of the original.
Animal Crossing: Puzzle League (3DS) (2016) - A mini game that was included in Welcome Amiibo; an expansion of Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
It is also worth noting that the unreleased N64 version of Panel de Pon was eventually released as part of the Japanese-exclusive Nintendo Puzzle Collection for Nintendo Gamecube. As for the original Panel de Pon, it was never officially released to the West until May 2020, where it released as part of the SNES library for NIntendo Switch Online.
However, about 13 years before then, a fan by the name of Zuqkeo created a rom hack that translates the game into English. And that fan translation is what this fan dub is based on.

If you manage to get assigned to one of the roles, I will message you the script for your character, either through private DMs, email, or Discord. Then you will have at most 2 weeks to turn them back in. If you fail to turn them in on time, you may be replaced by someone else. However, if you need more time to record your lines, just let me know.
ConclusionPanel de Pon is one of my favorite games in the puzzle genre, as well as one of my favorite games for the SNES! Not just for its fun and addicting gameplay, but also because of the world and the cute and colorful cast of characters it hosts. My hope is for this project to be able to breathe life into said world and characters!

The voice actors for Lip and the rest of her fairy friends have been assigned, and have completed their lines! All that is left is to find voice actors for the evil monsters they must fight to in order to save their world. There is still plenty of time for auditions, so If you are interested, please consider auditioning, either for Cordelia or her minions.
The main protagonist of Panel de Pon. Lip is an energetic and spirited flower fairy. She's a bit tomboyish, but she's also steadfast, loyal, and has a strong sense of justice!
In Tetris Attack, she's replaced by Yoshi.
She makes a cameo appearance in the Japanese-exclusive Wii game "Captain Rainbow."
Her stick (which in the fan translation is called "The Flower Rod") appears as a recurring item in the Super Smash Bros. series, starting with Melee; Lip herself appears as a costume and as a spirit in Ultimate.

The first boss of VS. Mode. Windy is a playful and spirited girl who loves to use the wind to cause mischief. She's very close with all of the birds who live in Wind World; they're always together!
In Tetris Attack, she's replaced by Lakitu.

Hi ~yun! (Hee-yoon!)
The second boss of Vs. Mode. This fairy may look cold hearted, but she's actually just really calm. Sherbet loves to cause trouble for the other fairies. Fittingly enough, she's also very good friends with Windy. Sherbet is very sweet, but she is still a child, so she can act rather spoiled! I think it's safe to say that Sherbet is the youngest out of Lip and her friends.
In Tetris Attack, Sherbet is replaced by Bumpty.
Fun fact: Sherbet's Japanese pronoun is "Boku" rather than the traditional "Watashi." Boku is an informal but also polite way of saying "I" or "me" that is often used by young boys, though it's also used by tomboyish girls.
Another Fun Fact: She has absolutely no relation to certain other ice fairies who claim that they're the strongest.

The third boss of Vs. Mode. Thiana is an active and lively girl who controls plants and greenery. She loves nature! Thiana also loves playing with all of her animal friends and is especially close friends with Kururu the squirrel.
In Tetris Attack, she's replaced by Poochy.

Ike! (Ee-Kay)
The fourth boss of Vs. Mode. This fairy controls beautiful gems! The sparkle of the jewels she creates makes everyone feel very mysterious. Ruby has a strong sense of responsibility and is very caring and helpful. The other fairies rely on Ruby so much that it's often rumored that she is the true leader of the gang...
In Tetris Attack, she's replaced by Flying Wiggler, and the Jewel World is replaced with a Flower World.
It's also note-worthy that Ruby is the only fairy who has wings... wonder why that is...?

At last, our time has come!
The fifth opponent of Vs. Mode. Elias is a quiet girl who is often dreaming about romance. She's a hopeless romantic. Elias loves to write poems and sing songs. On a moonlit night, she'll often sing to her good friend, Kyorotan the Kappa. He finds her beautiful voice very enchanting.
In Tetris Attack, Elias is replaced by Prince Froggy.

The sixth boss of Vs. Mode. Flare is strong-willed and hot-blooded girl who controls fire. She's very energetic and is very passionate about everything she does. Once she starts focusing on something, she stops paying attention to her surroundings! Flare hates things that are half-hearted or sloppy, and she also has a pretty short fuse. She is very scary when she's angry!
In Tetris Attack, Flare is replaced by Gargantua Blargg.
Fun fact: In Japanese, Flare uses the pronoun "Ore." Like with "Boku," Ore is a casual pronoun that's often used by young men, though Ore is considered much more rude than Watashi and even Boku. As previously stated, it's commonly used by young men (e.g. the male lead of a shonen anime), but can also be used by tough or aggressive women.

The seventh boss of Vs. Mode. Neris is a sea fairy who rules over the sea, and is friends with all the aquatic animals who live there. Neris is calm and easygoing, and she acts similar to a big sister to the younger fairies. Unsurprisingly, she's also best friends with Elias. Neris loves to sing at the beach on a moonlit night.
In Tetris Attack, she's replaced by Lunge Fish.
Fun fact: Her name is literally "Siren" spelled backwards.

Yoshi! (Not like Yoshi the character. "Yoshi" means "Alright" in Japanese.)

The eighth boss of Vs. Mode and the final fairy Lip needs to free. Seren is oldest out of the fairies, and serves as their leader. She possesses mysterious power. Seren is very gentle and kind, but she is also a little prideful, which can cause problems...
In Tetris Attack, Seren is replaced by Raphael the Raven.
Note: In the fan translation, her name is spelled "Selene." If you're wondering which version of her name I want you to use, I'm fine with either, so you're welcome to use either one.

The ninth boss of Vs. Mode and the first monster you fight in Death Mountain. This disgusting monster brings only misery to the land of Popples. If he gets insulted, Phoenix will get angry and violent.
In Tetris Attack, he's replaced by Hookbill the Koopa.
Argh! It seems they managed to lift the spell!
Nothin' I can do now, but beat you all up!
*Angry bird noises*
The tenth boss of Vs. Mode and the last one you face on EASY. Like with Phoenix, this outrageous monster brings only evil to the land of Popples. He's pretty lazy and is normally asleep, but everything goes into chaos when he gets angry!
In Tetris Attack, Dragon is replaced by Naval Piranha.
My magic ought to finish off you pitiful brats.
If you defeat me, I'll return to my eternal slumber...
*Give your best dragon roars*
The eleventh boss of Vs. Mode and the boss of Stage Clear's Special and Last Stages. You can only fight him on NORMAL difficulty and higher. Thanatos is the king of the monsters that were sent to terrorize Popples which include Phoenix and Dragon. His evil laugh and mighty voice can make the ground shake so much that it's easy to mistake it for an earthquake.
In Tetris Attack, he's replaced by Kamek in Vs. Mode and by Bowser in Stage Clear Mode.
I am the Demon King Thanatos!
You're so naive and foolish! Let me show you how foolish you truly are!
*Evil Laughter*
The twelfth and final boss of Vs. Mode. She can only be fought on HARD and up. Her power exceeds even that of Thanatos'. Cordelia is the true mastermind of the all the trouble that befell the world of Popples! She takes pride in her great strength, but she also holds a great secret...
In Tetris Attack, Cordelia is replaced by Bowser.
Fun fact: Her voice line is literally just Seren's except slowed down.
Another fun fact: If you have played Panel de Pon, than you'd know Cordelia and Bowser share one thing in common.
