Asuka is a hot-headed schoolgirl from Osaka, and a member of the Kazama Clan. While she was originally purported to be the cousin of Jin Kazama and the niece of Jun Kazama, Katsuhiro Harada has suggested their family relation is more complicated than that. In Tekken 8, Asuka is described as being a distant relative of Jin.

Lidia Sobieska is a karateka and the Prime Minister of Poland within the Tekken series. She made her debut in Tekken 7: Fated Retribution as DLC in the Season 4 Pass, and was the final character announced for the game.

She returned in Tekken 8 as the summer DLC fighter in the first Season Pass.

Azucena grew up in the mountains of Peru, on the Ortiz Farm, where she learned the trade of coffee farming from her father. It was as a youngster growing up on the coffee plantation that she decided her dream was to be the world's best coffee farmer.

Alisa Bosconovitch is a character in the Tekken series who was introduced in​ Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion. She is an android created by Doctor Bosconovitch, designed to look like his deceased daughter.

Ling Xiaoyu is a character who was introduced to the Tekken series in Tekken 3 and has returned in every subsequent release. Her initial goal in the games is to build her own amusement park, which got her involved with the Mishima family and the King of Iron Fist Tournament as her means to win enough money to do so. She eventually becomes more focused on said family's issues, in particular those of Jin Kazama, in the process.

Heihachi is the son of Jinpachi Mishima, the husband of Kazumi Mishima, the father of Kazuya Mishima, Lars Alexandersson, and Reina, the adoptive father of Lee Chaolan, and the paternal grandfather of Jin Kazama.

Lee is the founder and CEO of the robotics corporation Violet Systems. A Chinese orphan, young Lee was seen and then adopted by Heihachi Mishima who raised him as a rival to a young Kazuya Mishima in Heihachi's dojo. Lee is one of the most popular characters in the series for his manipulative style of play, smug personality and his trademark thumbs up and catchphrase "excellent".

Fahkumram is a Muay Thai fighter who is fighting under duress for the Thai military. He hopes to regain freedom for his family and himself.

Victor is a refined, suave man of elegance from an aristocratic background. He has been motivated ever since childhood by a desire to save those in need. He is thrifty and enjoys dalliances in romance, and is described as having broken many hearts.[2] From his voice lines, he appears to be someone with immeasurable self-confidence and no small degree of arrogance. He is a tactically minded man, observing the trends of global politics and corporate rises in power and setting out to challenge these threats. This is also attested to by one of his in-fight voice lines: "Checkmate". Victor is also fascinated with Japanese culture thanks to his stay with his father's mercenary friend in Japan.

Eddy Gordo is a Capoeira master. He was born to a one of the richest families in Brazil and was on track to inherit the family business. In Eddy's late teens, his father was working to destroy Brazil's drug cartel.

When Eddy was 19, he came home from school to find his father shot and dying. Eddy's father told Eddy to falsely confess to killing him because prison would be the safest place for him now. Eddy obeyed his father's last wish and was incarcerated. Prison life was difficult, and Eddy hungered for revenge against his father's killers. During a prison riot, he noticed an old man using Capoeira. Eddy became his student, becoming a Capoeira master in the eight years he trained under the old man.[8] During this time, the old man told Eddy that he had a granddaughter, and asked Eddy to pass the art of Capoeira on to her.[9

Kunimitsu II is the daughter of the first Kunimitsu, who participated in the first two mainline Tekken games. Kunimitsu II made her debut in Tekken 7: Fated Retribution as DLC in the Season 4 Pass.

Both Kunimitsu I and Kunimitsu II are kunoichi who wear respective Fox masks, and utilize close-ranged weapons.

Personality

Loyal and loving to her family, Kunimitsu dedicated herself to her shinobi training, taking up her mother's Manji Ninja Arts as the main template for her fighting style. After eventually surpassing her mother, she took up her mother's title, admiring her, and became a phantom thief, pilfering various high-stake items for high-class clients to give her family funds for a comfortable life. When her mother fell ill, she learned of the phantom sword Yoshimitsu; the legendary blade her great-grandfather desired to replicate, but could not attain as her mother was defeated by Yoshimitsu. Determined to make her mother happy, she sought after the very sword her mother coveted.

Lili, along with Sergei Dragunov and the second Armor King, Lili was one of the three new characters introduced in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection.

A Monegasque high school student, Lili is a member of the De Rochefort Family. She is the daughter and only child of Mr. de Rochefort, a wealthy oil magnate and head of Rochefort Enterprises. She resides in a luxurious suburban mansion with her father and their butler Sebastian.

The son she had loved more than anything in the world. "Jin..." Her voice was barely audible. "Please..." Jin's eyes filled with tears. "Whatever happens..." Jun struggled to breathe. "...don't let anger decide who you are." She smiled weakly. "I love you." Her eyes closed. And never opened again. Jin froze. The world around him seemed to disappear. His mother was gone. The person who had always taught him that strength meant nothing without compassion was gone. Then Jin realized something. His father had gone after the man responsible. Heihachi. His grandfather. The man who had just murdered his mother. Jin stood. His grief became anger. Dark wings erupted from his back. He had not yet mastered the Devil Gene enough to transform completely, but he didn't need to. He took to the sky. He followed the battle. And when he finally caught sight of them, he witnessed something that would haunt him for the rest of his life. Kazuya had caught up to Heihachi. The two were locked in combat high above the ground, father and son finally facing one another again after five years. But then two more helicopters emerged from the darkness. Electric nets launched through the air and wrapped themselves around Kazuya's body. He screamed as electricity surged through him, paralyzing his muscles. Heihachi had prepared for this moment. From one of the helicopters, he retrieved a weapon developed in secret by the underground Mishima Zaibatsu for the past six years. A weapon specifically designed to destroy Devil-blooded beings. An anti-Devil rocket. Kazuya struggled against the net. He couldn't move. He couldn't escape. The missile fired. It struck him directly. The explosion tore through the sky and sent Kazuya tumbling from above. "Father!" Jin descended after him. He found Kazuya barely alive, still tangled within the remains of the electric net. Blood poured from his mouth. His body was broken. Jin tore the net apart with his bare hands and pulled his father into his arms. "Father... please..." Kazuya slowly opened his eyes. He looked at his son and knew immediately. There was no saving him. His time was almost over. "Jin..." Kazuya whispered. Jin shook his head desperately. "No. You're going to be okay. We'll get you home. Mom can—" He stopped. The words died in his throat. His mother was gone. Kazuya knew it too. "Jin," he said again. "Listen to me." Jin tightened his grip around his father's hand. Kazuya struggled to breathe. "Your mother believed anger was dangerous. She believed it would cloud your judgment." Jin's eyes filled with tears. "But the truth is... power is everything." Jin stared at him. "You need power to defeat that man." Kazuya's eyes hardened. "Heihachi. Your grandfather." Kazuya knew Jin wasn't ready. Not yet. "I've trained you well. But you must continue. Become stronger. Hone your skills. Master everything I've taught you before you confront him." Then Kazuya did something Jin never expected. The Devil energy inside his body began to move. It flowed through his veins, gathering within his chest. Jin watched in confusion as the darkness began pouring from his father into him. "Father... what are you doing?" Kazuya said nothing. The power surged into Jin. He screamed. His body convulsed as the Devil Gene awakened completely. His wings expanded. His eyes changed. Dark energy exploded outward, shaking the earth around them. Kazuya had given his son everything he had left. The half of his Devil power he had retained after passing the other half into Jun when Jin was conceived now belonged to Jin. His father's power. His mother's blood. The Mishima legacy. The Kazama legacy. All of it existed within him. Kazuya looked at his son one final time. Despite the pain, despite knowing he was dying, he smiled. "I believe in you." Jin's breathing trembled. Kazuya's fingers slowly loosened around his hand. "Never forget..." His voice faded. "Power is everything." His eyes began to close. "...Total and absolute." His hand went limp. Jin stared at it. He didn't move. He didn't breathe. He simply sat there, holding the hand of the father who had just died in his arms. His mother was dead. His father was dead. And the man responsible was still alive. Heihachi Mishima had taken everything from him. Jin thought about Jun's final words. Don't let anger decide who you are. Then he remembered Kazuya's. Power is everything. Two final lessons. Two opposing philosophies. His mother's path was one of compassion, restraint, and forgiveness. His father's was one of strength, dominance, and absolute power. Jin had spent his entire life believing he could carry both. With that said, the Mishima Style became his weapon. The Devil Gene became his shield. And pain became something he simply accepted. Anyone who stood between Jin and his goal was dealt with... Ruthlessly. He didn't fight anymore. He destroyed. Fighters who challenged him expecting an honorable battle found themselves lying broken on the ground, some suffered shattered ribs. Others left with broken limbs. Some were burned by the Devil's power. Jin never stopped to think twice about his actions, he simply walked away. Hwoarang learned this the hard way. Their first encounter should have been the beginning of a rivalry. Two young fighters. Two opposing personalities. A battle that would continue for years. Instead, Jin unleashed everything. Hwoarang refused to stay down. Jin could tell he'd be an endless nuisance so it was decided that he would end this encounterr in a single blow, channeling his devil gene powers, he made his right arm transform into a devil version of his transformation but was encased in a continuous electric aura. Clenching his fist Jin also sprouted his wings and leaped full force forward and unleashing a devasting punch which sent Hwoarang crashing into the ground. Silence followed. Jin stood over him. Hwoarang didn't move. He had been pushed into a coma. Jin stared down at him for several seconds. Then he turned away. No words. No victory speech. Nothing. Just footsteps fading into the distance. The rivalry was over before it ever began. Then there was Xiaoyu. She remembered the old Jin. The kind one. The quiet one. The boy who would actually listen. She believed that somewhere underneath the anger, he was still there. She was wrong. She stopped and planted herself in front of Jin... he stopped. Xiaoyu looked into his eyes, searching for the person she remembered. For one brief moment, she thought she saw him. Then Jin pushed her aside, she hit the ground. Her eyes widened, He didn't turn around. "Don't get in my way." He walked on. And Xiaoyu realized the truth. She wasn't looking at a friend anymore. She was looking at someone who had forgotten how to let people care about him. Asuka tried next. She carried the Kazama name. She believed that would mean something to him. She stepped toward Jin. "A Kazama would never do things li—" Jin's hand snapped around her arm. His grip tightened. Asuka winced. Jin stared directly into her eyes. His voice was quiet. Controlled. But beneath it was rage. "Kazamas not all I am." He released her. "Back off if you know what's good for you." He shoved her aside. Asuka stumbled backward. Jin continued walking. She watched him disappear. And somewhere in the back of her mind, she wondered what had happened to the boy who had once been raised by Jun Kazama. The answer was simple. He had lost everything. And instead of grieving, he had chosen power. Because power couldn't die. Power couldn't abandon him. Power couldn't be shot in front of him. Power couldn't disappear from his arms. People could. His mother did. His father did. But power remained. So Jin embraced it. The Devil began answering his anger. Black wings erupted from his back. His eyes burned with an unnatural glow. The darkness that Jun had feared became something Jin welcomed. He stopped asking whether the Devil was consuming him. He stopped caring. Every time the Devil appeared, he felt stronger. Every time he became stronger, he felt safer. And the safer he felt, the more he needed it. But there were nights when the anger wasn't enough. Nights when Jin found himself alone, staring at the sky. He would close his eyes and remember his mother's voice. Jin... whatever happens... don't let anger decide who you are. His eyes would open. The memory would vanish. And for just a second, he would look like a lost child again. Then he'd remember his father's voice. Power is everything. His fist would tighten. Lightning would crackle around his hand. Total and absolute. And the child would disappear again. Jin wasn't becoming a monster because he wanted to be one. He was becoming one because he was terrified of being powerless. Terrified of loving someone only to watch them die. Terrified of caring because caring meant giving the world something it could take from him. So he stopped caring. Or at least, he tried to convince himself that he did. But somewhere deep inside, beneath the Devil, beneath the rage, beneath the Mishima blood running through his veins, Jin still remembered. He remembered his mother's smile. He remembered his father's hand on his shoulder. He remembered being loved. And that was the one thing he could never destroy. Because no matter how powerful he became, he could never punch away the pain. He could never fight his memories. He could never defeat the past. So he chose the only enemy he knew how to defeat. Heihachi Mishima. The man who had taken everything from him. Jin's eyes opened. The Devil manifested behind him. His wings stretched across the night sky. Lightning erupted around his body.
