Tears of Themis English Dub (Ch. 1)
Project Overview
Welcome to the Tears of Themis Fandub (Chapter 1) Casting Call! Here’s everything you need to know about this project:
What is Tears of Themis?
ToT is a mobile romance game featuring the player’s character (affectionately referred to by the fandom as “Rosa”) and 4 love interests; Artem, Luke, Marius, and Vyn. Rosa is an up-and-coming lawyer determined to solve a variety of cases so that she may bring justice to the common folk, and the 4 boys just happen to be helpful assisting detectives! With everyone working together, Rosa is determined to bring each and every case to a close with the innocent spare of any punishment!
What am I auditioning for?
Tears of Themis has a variety of features and stories to play, but this project can’t go on forever, so we’ll simply be focusing on dubbing the main storyline. There’s no official English dub in the game as of now, so this project aims to make one ourselves! Please be aware that if you are auditioning for a lead role, your character will be returning for multiple chapters, so I ask that you maintain commitment past this casting call alone. More casting calls will be released for additional chapters as we move along.
About auditioning:
-Got a minor role but wanted something better? Don’t worry! I will keep you in mind and reach out to you for future chapters if I think your voice would be suitable! We are also doing multi-casting, so you may get more than one role per chapter!
-I will be voicing the character of Winnie, so there’s no available auditioning role for her
-MUST be 13 years or older
-I ask that you do 2-3 takes per line (AAABBBCCC format or ABCABCABC)
-Minimal background noise and decent-quality mic
-Have a way for me to contact you! If you get the role, I will message you afterward through CCC messages, but I’ll need an alternative way to reach out for efficiency (preferably e-mail or discord)
-Be ok with potential retakes!
-Have time management skills! I will be flexible, but I will have set turn-in dates for lines when the scripts are ready. Communicate with me if you have issues for some reason and we’ll go from there
-Have! Fun!
OPTIONAL:
-Slate (introduce yourself)!
-Online calls for voice direction. If you want to record alone on your own time, that’s fine, but if you want some direction, that’s fine too! Just let me know!
-Improv/ad-libbing. Obviously there’s already a set script because this is a fan work, but I find that improv can add personality for an audition, so it’s welcome if you feel it necessary (but don’t force it either)

One of the 4 main love interests throughout the storyline, Artem is a business type. He carries himself in a way that appears calm and collected, but is actually quite bashful in regards to romance and even more so, the player. Artem should have a soft, mature voice that shows a strong intellect, but also caring nature.

Fate… brings us together…
One of the 4 main love interests throughout the storyline, Luke is the protagonist’s childhood best friend. They’ve been parted for several years due to the top secret training he had to undergo, but now that they’re back together, all he wants to do is catch up. Despite his friendly nature towards the player, he’s very protective of her and defensive towards others due to his intense training and newfound understanding of potential danger. His voice should sound adventurous in a way, being lighthearted and fun but also knowing how to be on the defensive when the time comes.

Cunning and manipulative, this man does what he can to take advantage of the people around him to promote his business. That being said, he’s not a basic charicature of a villain. He knows how get people to empathize with him so that he can use them. His voice should have a cunning snark to it that can also be made casual.

A little on the older side, but just as casual and friendly as the player or any of her friends you might find her with-so a casual, yet also mature voice. She’s Artem’s voice of reason in a way, as his secretary. She’s aware of his clear bashfulness and feelings towards the player, and is consistently trying to push him out of his comfort zone so that Artem may finally be honest with the player and himself.

An ever-aging elderly man. Despite his kind nature, he’s endured much struggling, and it’s worn him down quite a bit. Despite this, he acts as a key witness throughout the player’s investigation. His voice should sound aged but well-intentioned.

Primary assistant to Marius von Hagen. Though competent and capable, he first appears in the series as more of a coward, being that Marius is of such high power. His voice should sound appropriate for a business setting but the actor should also be capable of showing his fear.

One of the 4 main love interests throughout the storyline, Marius likes to tease the player to no end, while also displaying a softer side to her. He comes from a wealthy and powerful family, and his cocky behavior clearly stems from his spoiled lifestyle, but he also enjoys the simpler things in life too. He enjoys art and music more than anything, and it’s through his artistic expression that he shows his vulnerability to the player. Marius should have a cocky, almost nasally voice that can also grow soft when necessary.

One of our 4 main love interests throughout the storyline, Vyn is the mature type, who always seems so aware and put-together that he can almost make others seem inferior, despite no intention to do so. People often register as predictable or practiced, but oftentimes the player finds small ways to surprise him, making Vyn enjoy her presence all the more. His voice should be soothing and calm; intellectual. Bear in mind, however, that he does not appear until the second chapter.
