Project Overview
Hello to everyone on CastingCallClub!
First let me start off by saying thank you for letting me be a part of your community for a few years now.
Second, allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Brandon, aka BspokenDraws! I'm an amateur artist who is trying to create something they've always dreamed of.
I've had a world stirring in my mind for years now. I've just started putting that world onto 'paper' via my instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/bspokendraws/
I'm a novice when it comes to digital art. It's something I've always been passionate about. I've started and scrapped DeviantArt pages, instagram pages... a lot of pages... But now, especially given the current state, I'm looking to make something worth creating. For that, I'm going to admit, I will need help. A lot of it.
Don't worry, I'm not some kid. I'm 21 and looking to pay people for their time.
As stated before... the comic is currently in its nubile stages. Before you think about auditioning for any of the roles below, please see what I currently have done of the comic on my instagram page.
This is a passion project. I'm not being paid to create FireHeart, it is something from, well... my heart.
FireHeart is the story of a halfling named Gojou, a boy who seeks adventure and glory. Along the way he amasses allies in people as well as nations to rally to his side, stopping the various evil forces throughout their fantasy world. For anyone that's seen a Shonen anime, you'll be quite familiar with this type of plot.
In terms of gratuitous violence, there is plenty of that as well! Within the cast there will be 7 main characters and many supporting characters along the way. I'm looking for this story to go on for several different arcs, exploring and fleshing out each of these characters, and finishing cleanly. Things like character designs and locations are currently just thoughts and scribbles, and are all subject to change.
The ideas I want to explore in this comic include your typical story beats that everyone comes to expect from the fantasy/adventure genre... but as many people who watch anime/read manga know, there are always a few character arcs or relationships that are teased at or never really go anywhere. Nuh-uh. Not here. I want to create an epic tale with as few loose ends as possible.
The comic itself is aimed at teenagers and young adults, and the art/writing will reflect this. Characters will talk about their feelings, characters will kiss, characters will bleed, swear, and kill, and characters will die.
I'm not ashamed to say that my idea may be overdone, but I truly believe that the world I plan on crafting is a great one.
I plan on releasing FireHeart via social media like Instagram, Twitter, and WebToon.
(If possible maybe even YouTube content...)

Who I'm looking for:
Co-Writers & Passionate Comic Artists (More info in the roles themselves!!!)
But more importantly, long term friends! If you need help with your art, story, WHATEVER, I want us to be a team :)
I want this to be something special. When you include your auditions below, PLEASE, include anything else you think would be worth sharing! Portfolios, YouTube channels, livestreams, Instagram pages, anything...! Being an artist, I know how shitty getting yourself out there can be. I also want to take this as an opportunity to allow other people to explore YOUR creations.
I'll be creating a project Discord that we can all chat, game, shitpost, or do whatever in. This will also be how we can share our files and get stuff done.

I plan on paying for services via PayPal. Name your price and we can go from there :)

Everything about the story is currently in my head, so I do think adding a co-writer to the team would be a wise decision... A first mate (or two), so to speak :) I understand this is an... odd position to fill, but please bare with me.
I'll be sharing my ideas with you first and foremost, and I hope you'll do the same with me. Work with me to make my ideas the best they can be! If you're a harsh critic, trust me, I can take it.
For your 'audition', please, include any of your previous works that you'd like me to read. I look forward to reading all of them, and I implore others to do so as well.

While I do have specific scenes planned out, going from brain to page isn't always that simple. Laying out the scenes/panels also falls under here- you'll be working directly with me on that :)
I'll need your assistance setting up pages to better mesh with the layouts of various social medias (Mainly instagram and webtoon).
Please include your works with your auditions. I'm sure I'll love them all :)

Looking for someone who is learned in digital art programs to help plan and create backgrounds/environments for various scenes. I've mainly been using Procreate on my iPad, but I have experience in other software such as PaintToolSai and FireAlpaca.

Currently, FireHeart is in black and white... and if I want to keep making pages at a consistent pace, AND in color, I'll need someone's help.
You don't have to be a colorist specifically, either. If you design original characters, that's also a huge plus :D
I'm looking for two different types of colorists! One interested in flats/cells and another in shading. That way I'll be able to focus on making the line-art and poses as clean as possible :)
