TCAS - Animated Indie pilot (Updated)
Project Overview
HELLO, ANIMATION FANS!
We are casting for roles and jobs at ChristianAnimations Studios (e.g. The ChristianAnimations Show). TCAS, which stands for "The ChristianAnimations Show," is an original animated series that follows the story of a young boy named ChristianAnimations. He is an online animator passionate about creating an independent animated series. However, he faces numerous challenges along the way, including rivals, anti-animation groups, and mayhem in Mountain Street City.
Despite the obstacles, ChristianAnimations never gives up on his dream. With the help and support of his furry friends, he continues to work hard and push forward. The series is entertaining and inspiring, as it teaches viewers the importance of perseverance, creativity, and friendship.
TCAS is not just a Passion project, it is also an experimental show that combines different types of animation, such as 2D, 3D, and traditional animation. We aim to mix 2D and 3D and to make combine hand-drawn and computer-generated images, and add details like speech bubbles or colors that bleed into each other purposefully (Something like spider-verse). We also aim to produce captivating and spectacular storylines that will appeal to everyone. The show will explore themes of rivalry, coming-of-age, and more.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR?We are looking for a slew of professional 2D Animators, Background artists, Audio engineers, and Storybaorders to be a part of the studio throughout the pilot + season of TCAS, or our other projects. Folks cast for roles and positions will be asked to provide proof of experience and work on the CCC.
We are making a crowdfunding campaign to support and pay for the production, marketing, and film festival release for The ChristianAnimations Show (TCAS).
Here is the crowdfunding teaser: https://www.backerkit.com/call_to_action/b9a5e0ba-882f-4d21-8f67-b3f8e34d42f2/landing.
We also showcase our voice actors, producers, directors, and more on our website. The showcase includes members' photos, biographies, contact information, and links to a demo reel. Members are also listed verbally in the credits of each show.

WHAT IS THE PILOT ABOUT?Get ready for an exciting story! Alex is thrilled to introduce his friend Christian to an upcoming animation and entertainment convention. The highlight of the event is an animation contest, and the winner will receive a free internship at a top-notch animation studio in their town.
As Christian gears up to participate in the contest, he meets his rival, Jeff Scarlet. The fierce competition and Christian is determined to win the contest and secure the internship. But will he be able to outdo Jeff and emerge victorious, or will he lose the chance of a lifetime? Get ready to find out!
When you arrive, Christian N., our studio leader and 2D animator, will greet you warmly. You'll be part of our CAs family, where you can interact with voice actors, animators, and storytellers from all over the world, all of whom offer a wealth of experience and knowledge. We primarily communicate through Discord. If you're unfamiliar with Discord, don't worry; you can still audition. However, we strongly recommend participating through Discord so that you can collaborate with your fellow voice actors. We'll be using Discord for other projects, and it has proven to be of immense value.
We offer a range of benefits to our employees, including opportunities for growth and development, exposure to a global community of creatives, and the chance to work on exciting and unique projects. We believe these benefits make us an excellent place to work.
Above all, have fun - we take pride in bringing together talents in different mediums to create something phenomenal. But that's not possible unless everyone involved is passionate about their craft.
RequirementsHere are some requirements for how to apply and what you need to apply!
This is a long-term project, which will require a lot of commitment and dedication. If you are not prepared to do this please do not audition. This particularly applies to voice actors as once the animators have started working with the voice actors, it will be very difficult to change who is voicing the characters.
Must show proof of previous work (e.g. Animation, drawing, voicing, writing)
Must know how an animated show production works.
Interpersonal, communication, and computer skills.
Attention to detail and adaptability.
Must be okay with using Discord for communication and messaging.
If you going to cuss in Discord don't do it so much.
An XLR/USB is HIGHLY recommended (Don't blow your money on $1,000+ microphones, get one that's good for you).
You're able to deliver consistent quality (at least as good as your audition).
Must put your Discord in for communication.
You're willing to stay with us for longer than just a few weeks.
You know that you're not the best and nobody is perfect, but you've got the drive to strive.. for improvement! You embrace the feedback you get, and never give up! You got this (●'◡'●)
You're able to work in a team of like-minded animation fans.
Have fun
Please submit clean recordings on prosumer mics. There should be no air conditioners or fans in the background. We don't mind performing noise reduction on your files, but too much clean-up reduces the quality of your voice. And speaking of clean-up, please let us handle the post-production. Don't add effects to your lines. Leave that to our audio geniuses.
Feel free to cut your lines to your best/favorite takes. Three is the gold standard. Some voice actors prefer to give us more takes, and that's okay, too. However, please remove at least the takes you don't want to be featured on the podcast.
Please submit your applications as a long text about yourself in the Call Casting club. If a file is too large to submit via email, we prefer to use Google email. We do occasionally ask for line re-dos, but we do this sparingly and only after great consideration. We realize your time is valuable, and we won't ask for anything we can't work around in edits.
Lastly, since we're planning at least 3+ seasons of TCAS, we'd like to cast people who can stick with us for a while. We're incredibly proud of the acting troupe we've formed over the years, and when starting a new project, we frequently return to voice actors we've worked with in the past.
The deadline for auditions is March 16th, 2024. There are currently no plans to extend this deadline, as the pilot script is ready to release to voice actors. We'll notify voice actors who have been cast in roles by April 29th and send scripts to voice actors by May 1st. We need to receive all lines back from voice actors by May 16th.
At ChristianAnimations Studios, we strive to create unique and captivating animations. We started our independent studio in 2018, and since then, we've worked hard to create imaginative and engaging projects. We still have a long way to go before we can say we're a big studio, but we know we can make it there. We're passionate about our craft and take pride in our work, always striving to create the best animation possible, even if that means taking risks.
If we don't respond to your application, don't worry. It means we're reviewing all applications behind the scenes. We're looking for all kinds of talent and can't wait to push further with this show! Happy animating, and good luck ❤️
Thank you for listening, and we hope you join the CA Family!

You’re a good mate, Maayana. You always cheer me up when I’m feeling blue.
I’ve always dreamed of being a writer. But it’s not easy, you know. Sometimes I struggle with finding my voice and overcoming writer’s block.
I seen your work ChristianAnimations! Very splendid!
Help bring the characters to life with animation techniques from Spider-verse and Scott Pilgrim: Takes Off. This show is going to be animated in 2.5D ("an animation type that stands somewhere between traditional 2D and 3D.") We want the animators to animate the show in a stylized manner.
Animating on 2s - change of movement every 2 frames
Animating on 1s - Change of movement every 1 frame
We will hand you a doc of an animator guide for TCAS and how it is supposed to be animated. Adobe Animate is recommended, but if you can copy the style of the show of a different software (e.g. Opentoonz, Toon Boom) then that is fine.

Okay, and are you trying to get into the animation contest hosted at the Boombox Expo?
You know what, I don’t wanna hear it. I have better things to do than to discuss child’s play with such plebeians such as you and your friends. Guys? Are you coming? Descole, Francois!
What! This film is the best?! It’s stupid! It’s just about a girl who gets a hat with powers, what kind of plot is that!?
"The cleanup artist role is an important one in the 2D animation process. They turn rough sketches into articulated line drawings, giving full definition and style to the original concept art."
Our clean-up animators will help with cleaning up the rough animations that the 1st set of animators have made.

The background artist will help with making the backgrounds for the TCAS pilot and the series if successful after its pilot release. BG Artist will make the backgrounds stylized and neat, blending colors to be good-looking and nice to the eyes of the viewer(s).
Once invited into the project, we will send you a doc of the Background artist guide on how the backgrounds should be drawn and how they should be laid out.

You can't have a good episode without planning it out! This is why we are looking for Storyboard artists to help out with that. The storyboard artist will help with planning out the episodes for TCAS and make them good for the animators to use by making the storyboard panels and animatics.
A doc will be handed out to you if signed up for the TCAS pilot/series. Use the doc to help you guide your way through the show and its pilot. We recommend software like Adobe Photoshop or Storyboard Pro. If you can use a different software to copy and make the storyboards for the TCAS episodes, then that is fine as well.

"Compositors create the final image of a frame, shot, or sequence. They take different digital elements; like the animations, background plates, graphics, and special effects (SFX), and put them together to make a believable picture."
Our AE compositors will help us make the spider-verse-like style for the TCAS series and pilot by adding VFX to the flat animation and environment.

"A songwriter is a musician who professionally composes musical compositions or writes lyrics for songs, or both. The writer of the music for a song can be called a composer, although this term tends to be used mainly in the classical music genre and film scoring."
This show's main music will be Pop. So please have experience in writing pop music.
