MEDIEVAL FANTASY: VOICE ACTORS/ACTRESSES NEEDED: Tales of the Yawning Portal: Pilot Project
Project Overview
Hello!
I am looking for some voice actors to help me bring my short audio drama project into reality. This is a short medieval fantasy pilot that will be based on Dungeons and Dragons. I am looking for expressive voice actors who can breathe life into the characters, as well as an engaging narrator. Should the pilot have a good reception, I will be looking to make a small series on it. Should that happen, I shall be making this a paid production, where the original cast and any will be paid for their voice acting.
If you think this is the ideal project for you, then audition away!
Audio requirements:
Must have a good condenser microphone and a pop filter, as well as appropriate audio recording software (audacity is optimal). Must omit background noise for clear audio quality.
Must be aged 18 or over as there is mild language.
Although this is a free project, you will get to have the first listen of the completed audio drama, and for your effort will be given a high recommendation to enhance your career as voice actors/actresses!
Thank you for reading, and have fun auditioning! :)

Preferably someone with a middle-aged/senior voice, and whom can have emphasis and emotion in what they read.
There were mossy mounds found sporadically around the floor; every one of them resembled a humanoid form, but limp, as though the mossy vines and fungi had engulfed and suffocated a person.
From the pitch blackness around them, a cloaked figure splits itself from it and without making a sound creeps up hastily towards the three
Beneath the fungal light grows an evil tree. Its blackened, twisted limbs reach upward, like a skeletal hand clawing its way out of the earth.
Looking for someone who can do an aristocratic or southern English accent. She has a very authoritative tone, but she is not shy to mock those she deems foolish either.
(sardonic) Oh? Our fearless bulwark who also claims to be an angel now yearns to stay behind? That's not fear I smell is it?
(frustration) Lolth damn her...You know what that half-breed is like: always slinking in the shadows.
(anger, threatening) Enough! I hope you've got a good pair of lungs on you, druid, because by the Dark Mother today you will scream!
Charismatic and confident. He is young and a lover of drink, women and fighting. Although he is young, I am seeking someone who can also pull off a rough, gritty voice as well.
(jovial, in greeting) Hey everybody! How's it goin'
(exasperated) You know Marathi, you can be a real bitch at times..
Oh, yeah about that...uhm. Look man, I don't really care about the guy, it's just the girl I want.
Lacus is calm and coherent individual. Preferably someone with a soft voice. Although I'm looking for someone who can do a Welsh accent, you CAN ALSO do a London style accent (mild cockney or Essex accent)
(weary, yet in a hushed whisper) Someone's coming... it's Meiree. She's coming back.
(concern) Wait, where'd the other two go?
She is a rogue, and has lived a harsh urban life. Any accent is fine, but her tone is medium pitch.
(informative) Look, I don't know what kind of operation you're running here, but we were sent to collect those two. Their mother is very worried about them.
Alright, here's the briefing. Mistress Hucrele, the owner of Oakhurst General Supplies and the richest lady here is offering a reward of three hundred gold pieces to each of us for the safe return of her children. A simple enough job, I agree. Problem is, they were last spotted entering an Goblin infested fortress 7 miles from here.
Listen..if you're gonna keep doing this in town and giving us a bad name, then we are going to have to have a serious discussion concerning your drinking problem.
Belak, the Outcast. He is the antagonist in this story, and should be voiced with a cool, yet dangerous tone. Middle aged OR senior is appropriate for this character
(sinister and mock surprise) And who are you? What, pray tell, are you doing here?
(in a dangerous, threatening tone) You think me a fool? How reckless of you.
What you want is irrelevant. All that matters to them is their loyalty to me.
Lexrath is a drow assassin. She is a cruel mouthed, sneering woman, with a delight for mockery.
(Sneering) Kill you? You silly strumpet I'm not here to kill you. I'm here to escort you back home.
(boastful) My master has wealth, he has power and he has an army, unlike you..
(sarcastic) Aww I appear to have touched a nerve. How distressing of me
Looking for a variety of extras! Give it a shot when you can
(shock, terror) Oh Gods! It's the end of the World!
(shock, terror) Its a devil, its a devil!
(shock, terror) Run for your lives!
(Command) In the Name of the Empire, cease hostilities!
(Command) Put your hands on your head, now!
What can I do for you?
Bloody scum!
Go on! Get them out of here!
Looking for some priestesses in my production. They are currently being arrested and punished for crimes against a rebel sect, and are being sent to be sacrificed to the rebels version of their Goddess. I prefer an English accent, but I don't mind any others. Must have a good mic since screaming is involved
(scream in agony)
(growl/scream in anger and pain)
(rage) You rats! You rodents! You'll pay for this! All of you!
(rage, scream) Get your filthy hands off me you insects
(weeping/yelling) Marathi! Why?! Why did you betray us! We loved you, and now you betray us?!
(sobbing, in anguish) please, mercy...I beg you no
