TALES OF THE ARCTIC CRYSTAL - Animated intro + Chapter 1
Project Overview
TALES OF THE ARCTIC CRYSTAL is a mystery adventure story about three college age protagonists who, after an attack, are forced to travel to the lair of a giant religious syndicate to sever all their ties to the cult and finally be freed from their past.
Along the way we learn about how this huge evil came to be, maybe how to stop it, and how the arctic crystal is at the core of all the new twists and turns that we encounter.
The project will be hand drawn 2D animation by yours truly and will be uploaded to YouTube. Each chapter will be just one part of a greater long story until eventually we'll have the entirety of Tales of the Arctic crystal to show!
To audition for this piece please submit two takes of each line listed for each role. Please have discord if you wish to participate :)

The Madame of the Poison veil is a deceptively hopeful church leader. She is the mouthpiece for her churches god and often hosts service herself.
She is charismatic, almost motherly, hopeful and reverent to cover her inherent creepiness. Can become too intense easily.

As we gather on this beautiful holiday, let’s not forget what it was all for. Our goddess braved the evils of her time to bring us out of the earth as a gift from the heavens.

Verily I say unto thee, you will snap the ties of bondage and you will be free, and you will begin anew in the wilderness that once sought to destroy your fathers fathers, who remiss their own destruction.“

Amy is a hotheaded young woman who cares deeply about her best friend Chad. She is terrible at masking her real feelings about anything, really. She is bold, loud and the embodiment of the color Barbie pink.

(In an argument) IT’S MY MONEY. The agreement is that when you have a job you help with rent. I don’t have a job. YOU don’t have to buy groceries, you do it because you want to, and that isn’t my problem!

Chad is an empathetic young man. He’s a peacekeeper, friendly, soft and caring. He tempers Amy’s hotheadedness with understanding and listening. He often ends up distracted however and doesn’t always give the things that need attention enough. Very slow to anger.

Don’t worry Spyglass, you’re with professionals! Amy and I have been doing this since before we even met you. Hell our moms met through a single parent hiking group before either of us were born, it’s basically genetic.

Spyglass is a mystery to most people to meet them. They are quiet, reserved, and observant. They would probably be described as odd, if not a little awkward, almost like they are still learning how to be a human. Usually remain pretty calm but get snippy and sarcastic relatively fast.
