SYSTEM REBOOT - 30 second animated pilot for webcomic launch

Project Overview

If you want to voice one of two dudes that start generational beef over a blue crayon, this might be the role for you!

GENRE: Sci-fi, drama, comedy

LOGLINE: When daylight means death after a solar apocalypse, two friends race against time for a cure to reboot humanity.

SYSTEM REBOOT, a webcomic set to release this summer, needs voices for a 30 second animated micro pilot currently in development.

With a dedicated fan base and combined following of 140k across Instagram, YouTube, and Tik Tok, I would be honoured to bring on some voice talent and give them a platform to breathe life to these very beloved characters.

AGE REQUIREMENT: ideally over 18! But younger voice actors can participate if they have their parents permission. (If chosen I'll make a parental permission form)

MIC REQUIREMENTS: Please have a good mic! At the moment there are no equipment specifications as long as audio quality is clear and without noise

  • SYSTEM REBOOT: Production Update!

    Thank you so much to everyone who auditioned for this project over the summer. I am terribly sorry for not updating sooner, as I am still unfamiliar with CCC.

    Mid August, I was able to complete all the animation, backgrounds, and colouring for this 30 second short. It was recieved incredibly well by a panel of animation industry mentors from Nelvana, Netflix, and Mercury Filmworks...I can't wait to share it publicly!

    Due to some technical setbacks, this short will likely launch on YouTube/TikTok/Instagram around December. As I will be finalizing some compositing and sound mixing over the next few months while I balance my animated thesis project: AFTERDARK. Which currently also has a casting call posted!

    If any of you have interest in auditioning for the paid role of little Se Jun on that project, please feel free to check it out! I've had the pleasure of meeting and working with many incredible voice actors this summer, and I cannot thank all of you enough for showing love to this project while it was still in early development.

CHARLIE DOES NOT EXACTLY SOUND HOW HE LOOKS!

Looking for a young adult / adult male voice that’s intimidating and soft spoken. Think quiet older brother that you really wouldn’t want to piss off.


Character description: 

Charlie is a 23 year old jaded fugitive on the run for crimes he did not commit. He unintentionally intimidates everyone around him due to his often expressionless face and flat manner of speech. He means well and has a good heart, but you’d never be able to guess what he’s thinking. Charlie shouldn’t sound like an asshole, but definitely a guy you’d want to give some space. He’s an older brother, a good boyfriend, and perpetually tired dude.

Looking for a young adult / adult male voice that’s headstrong and determined (and a little pathetic). Think of a guy you really wish success for in life but you don’t have faith in his chances.


Character description: 

Se Jun is a 23 year old scientific prodigy who comes off as a failure more often than not due to his demeanour alone. Driven by his hopes and crushed by his own standards, he carries himself with all the charisma of a fallen off gifted student. He‘s the type of guy you usually laugh at instead of laugh with. When voicing him don’t go too stereotypical on the nerd vibes! He’s just a regular guy


IMPORTANT NOTE:

Se Jun may not speak a lot in this specific short, but he is the main speaking voice in the animated short that comes after this one. Audition if you’re interested in playing him for that one! Hoping to have some money saved up to make that role a paid one :)
