Project Overview

*** D I S C L A I M E R ***

This project is LONG TERM. Meaning it will take quite a long time to finish, so please keep that in mind for auditioning. We don't want to have to recast instead of using your beautiful voice!!


This is a project to find voice actors for our pilot episode of an abridged series for Sword Art Online: GGO, the second season of Sword Art Online. It'll have wacky characters, dumb jokes, and totally ridiculous plot that barely makes sense. Just a super inaccurate fandub for fun! You can have multiple interpretations for a role, small amounts of improv is fine, and if you have an impression idea for a character that isn't what we described, just go for it! We'll still listen. have any questions about the process, how an audition should be done, or something else, contact either of us on Discord, or leave it in your comments after your audition! The two leading this project are Troopah and Charrlarr.

If you are interested in voice acting for the project, you can submit voices for multiple characters or just one. If you think you have a better idea for how one of the voices should sound give it a shot! You can always make multiple submissions or do multiple different voices for one submission. We're working on this project all in good fun! Please include your Discord username and # so we can contact you easier. This project will take a long time with on and off voice acting. We do not plan on choosing a voice actor until the deadline for the project, November 20th.

Naturally we will be choosing the voice we think best suits the character, we might comment and give you a bit of advice to tinker it a bit so we can get you closer to what we want, you can try it out if you want to and resubmit your audition. We hope that the microphone quality is at least okay, we're willing to work with okay microphones as long as the audition is good. This doesn't mean use the worst mic possible, it just means that microphone quality isn't as major of a factor, but very appreciated the higher quality the microphone.

Kirito is a smart alec with a big ego. He enjoys hotdogs a lot and usually has some form of snarky remark to everything. He usually holds back a little bit of his personality when talking to his friends. He also has a huge, HUGE temper.


Kirito needs to have a medium young adult male voice. Whitty, egotistical, sharp as a tac. His voice lowers in tone, but gets louder in volume when angry. He needs to have a snarky attitude, quick with confident comebacks, but soft spoken and slow speaking to ones he cares for.


  • Asuna? Hellooooo? Anybody in there? Earth to Asuna!


  • How about we change the subject. Oh look at that! A sun! Fancy seeing one of those things here!

  • Look, you say it’s something as simple as a hotdog, but in reality it isn’t. For you see!- This mere hotdog is more than just a hotdog! You say a hotdog with mustard is acceptable, but the authenticity of a hotdog must be unwavering for it to be nearly acceptable. Gods passed hotdogs down to us from the heavens as gifts for good deeds, they cannot be taken lightly and must be made and eaten properly.. Without mustard.

Asuna’s personality is pretty similar to that of GGO Asuna’s original personality, but she’s a lot more airheaded and constantly dumbfounded compared to her original counterpart.

A normal teenage to young adult female voice, with some sass, spaciness, and occasional overconfidence.

Sinon is a more serious character, she usually doesn’t think too much before talking though. She is quick to point out when someone is acting stupid 

and she naturally strives to get better at the game. Sinon in real life is a bit more reserved but a major smart ass when she REALLY feels like it.


Sinon’s voice should be a medium to low range teen to young adult female. Gravely, sarcastic, and monotone. She doesn’t like many people, and keeps to herself mostly, her close friends being an exception. Acceptably slow, and analytic speech patterns.

  • Look, maybe if I win the Bullet of Bullets, it’ll help me get stronger, not just in the game-- but also in real life.

Very carefree. He likes to poke fun at stupid things and point out even stupider things. Is stupider even a word? No idea but as of the time of writing this let’s just say it is! Kikuoka cracks down on stuff pretty quickly just to get his job done. He’s very fun. He also likes Monkeys.


A very mild, sophisticated individual who always takes pride in his work. He’s calm most of the time, but can be way overly expressive when it’s called for. Very articulate speech, slow and soft spoken, but not too soft. A medium to low vocal range adult male is wanted for this role.

In this Abridged Series, Death Gun is a big twitter user who believes their opinions are absolute. Basically reddit cringe lord of opinions. They believe they are always right and will not take no for an answer. Death Gun abuses his twitter following as a way to make his opinions more absolute and out power people.


Death gun should have a deep, deep voice. I'm talkin' growly. He needs to be a geeky, nerdy sounding guy who may or may not be a very, very large individual in real life *if you catch my drift.* Heavy breathing, ends of sentences dragged out by loss of breath, and slow, nasally speech. Probably ranging around the voice of a 50 year old male, but obviously it’s an impression, you don't have to be 50. Average middle-aged Star Wars fan. You know the one.

Dyne is a man with a southern accent. He is in constant desire for love. He acts like he has a wife to try to impress others, but falls short into sadness when someone doubts or asks about her. He is very southern and cares about others, but not too much. he’s there to have fun.


Carefree attitude, southern / country accent. Medium adult male vocal range. Super duper expressive, happy go-lucky kinda guy. But can flop to the exact opposite in a flash. Southern hospitality, but fun comes before anything or anyone to this cowboy.

Leafa is a snooty, highly talented highschooler, and she knows it. Unlike her brother, she really hates Hotdogs. She has her own forward and upfront remarks but acts nice to others in the presence of people she doesn’t know. She’s a little conserved but is a lot more mean than Kirito in comparison. Snarky, a bit stupid, and gets infuriated when her flaws are pointed out.


Leafa should have a high range, teen female voice. preppy and uppity. Her voice lowers when she’s flustered or angry, in volume and tone. She’s confident and everyone knows it, and she’s rare to lose that confidence.

  • Look, all you eat is hotdogs, Hotdogs aren’t even a good snack like you always claim they are. Unlike your girlfriend who sucks up to your behavior only because you two quote-unquote *changed each other’s life*. It’s a video game.

  • So Kirito, I was reading the Daily MMO News and noticed that your name is on this weird tournament ballot for Gun Gale Online. So I did a bit more research and I saw an image of your avatar. Let me tell you, did not know you were into that kind of stuff.

  • Laughing Coffin? What’s that supposed to be? Sounds like a cool name to be honest. What are they like-- some guild from SAO? With a name like that I’m sure they accomplished a lot of good… What’s with that look?

Klein is very rowdy, all in good fun though. Himself and Kirito have a lot in common, that of how they behave. Klein makes a few jokes here and there, however in the presence of women he tries to win them over with his “amazing” comedic skills.. If they are amazing. I don’t know. He’s charming nonetheless, similar to a modern surfer dude.


Klein should have a medium young adult male voice. A very strong American West coast accent, similar to like an eccentric vegan, hipster. Fast paced speech, very slight rasp, more pronounced when his voice is raised. Uses a lot of contraction words, like “Death Gun’ll, what’re,” and more words similar to thar.


  • Kirito’ll make it out alive. Even though it could be a fight to the death he hasn’t really lost one before. I’d say he’s on a good streak this far.

  • It’s just a joke! Reality is, we all believe in him and he’ll definitely make it out safely.

  • Hotdogs? Oh yeah I’m down, hotdogs are one of my favorite snacks.

The Snarky know it all egotistic fairy who believes she is the best one in the room just because she can google search things in her head! She is basically a crossover between Asuna and Kirito but amplified both of their personalities when it comes down to being a smart ass and cracking stupid jokes. (Very Subject to Change)


Voice 1: Very high pitched teen female voice, carefree but can be aggressive easily, which can lead to tantrums. Very articulate and intellectual speech. A little bit bratty sounding, more so when she’s angry or flustered.Pretty similar to a toddler, but only in tone, not pronunciation.

Voice 2: 

For comedic reasons, a very low, adult male voice. Like you’re reading an audiobook fit for sleeping, but not quiet. Slow, articulate speech, with a very slight proper british accent. Very theatrically dramatic, uses very large and profound words most of the time.




  • Line 1 Voice 1: Mommy, you’re really assuming that me and my immense amount of knowledge are incapable of pulling up the live feed of the Bullet of Bullets Tournament? Really? It’s literally on their home page.

    Line 1 Voice 2: Mother, are you really making the assumption that myself and my immense amount of knowledge are incapable of providing the live feed of the Bullet of Bullets Tournament? You have got to be joking. It is right here on their homepage.


  • Line 2 Voice 1: Daddy, Mommy and I believe in you, even though putting the phone on the hand won’t do anything and Mommy is being stupid.

    Line 2 Voice 2: Father, Mother and I believe in you, even though putting our hands on this here telephone will not help you in any way, shape, or form.

  • Line 3 Voice 1: Daddy we believe in you.. We know you can win this fight!

Similar to how she is in the original anime., Jokes somewhat frequently. Helps Kirito as much as she can. Unsure of everything 24/7, but sounds like everything she says is concrete and confident.


Aki’s voice should be a medium to low adult female voice, calm and caring. Her main troupe is constant confusion, but the tone of her voice conveys that she’s absolutely confident in everything she says. Kind of an “ara are~” type lady in some cases, if you get my meaning.

  • Also, before you dive into Gun Gale Online, here’s a note left by Mr. Kikuoka. He told me to save it and give it to you.

These are for extra voices, for example, any spectators to a scene that aren't necessary for a full voice actor slot because they just appear for a scene or two. OR they don't appear at all and we need an additional character for a quick funny scene.

The voice can be whatever you want, feel free to submit multiple times for multiple voices or have multiple voices in one submission. This one is all in good fun so you can be as stupid as possible or as good as possible. We'll most likely end up choosing multiple people for this role so what you want to do with it is entirely up to you!
