SURVIVORS DOGS | Creative Team CASTING CALL (Round 1)
Project Overview
Moons Choice is a fan-animated series based off the books Survivors Dogs by Erin Hunter.
Moon, a young wolf, is faced with a choice that could change the future of her pack . As the Alpha’s heir, she must navigate dangerous rival packs, a deathly sickness, and her own inner doubts. With the survival of her pack at stake, Moon must decide whether to follow tradition or create a new path.
Will Moon rise to the challenge, or will the weight of her decision tear her pack apart?
All roles will be paid $5 at the end of each episode (Not per work submission)!!
If you are auditioning just to be apart of the series, please hold back, because it’s happened before when I’d cast somebody and then they ghost me afterward completely. So be sure you are able and willing to do the work I assign you!
A note for Animators and Background Artists ;
These two roles are highly dependent on each other while working on an animated series. So, before auditioning, be sure you’re ready to collaborate with more than one person!
Lastly, even though I am willing to pay and have set up a whole project, I would like to be clear that (As a younger person) I am not fully experienced in directing a whole team for a series. Usually I would work alone in these scenarios. So please be patient with me as I am still learning to do better. I will try my best!

Background Artist Audition Rules:
1. Portfolio and Samples:
Please submit a portfolio or a set of samples showcasing your work. These can include background designs, environments, or concept art. If you’re submitting only a specific piece of work, make sure it’s relevant to the style we’re looking for and shows your range as a background artist.
2. Art Style Requirements:
Our project has a specific visual style (semi-realism/cartoon). When submitting, make sure your samples align with the style or tone of the series. If you’re unsure whether your work fits, feel free to ask! Though the picture used for this role is one from our work, also.
3. Specific Background Elements:
When auditioning, we may need you to demonstrate your ability to design backgrounds based on a provided concept or scene description.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
Background artists must be open to feedback and revisions. As we may need to make adjustments to align with the animation team’s vision, be ready to collaborate and iterate on your designs as needed.
5. No Plagiarism:
All submitted artwork should be your own original work. Please refrain from using copyrighted or plagiarized material.

General Artist Audition Rules:
1. Art Style and Adaptability:
While we don’t require a specific art style, we are looking for artists who can adapt to different visual tones and styles. Your ability to work in various artistic directions, whether it’s cartoonish, semi-realistic, or abstract, is key. If you have experience in a particular style (e.g., 2D, digital painting, illustration), feel free to highlight that, but also show us your versatility. It is most likely all artists would have to try to follow a single art style while working in the series.
2. File Format and Quality:
Please submit your work in high-resolution formats to ensure we can review it in full detail. Preferred file formats: .png, .jpg, .psd. Make sure the images are not compressed or too small, so we can see your art clearly.
3. Original Work Only:
All submissions should be your own original artwork. Please refrain from using third-party or borrowed materials.
4. Attention to Detail and Composition:
We’re looking for artists with a keen eye for detail, composition, and visual storytelling. When submitting your work, show us how you approach balance, lighting, color theory, and overall composition in your pieces. These elements are important in bringing the project to life.
5. Collaboration and Feedback:
Artists will be expected to collaborate with other team members, such as animators, directors, and background artists. Be prepared to take constructive feedback and make revisions as needed to meet the project’s vision. We value open communication and teamwork.
6. Time Management:
If selected, you will be expected to meet deadlines for any assigned art tasks. Please indicate your typical turnaround time for different types of artwork, such as character designs, environmental concepts, or illustrations.
And please list your availability and what you are auditioning for in the Artist role as well ^^ (such as character design, concept artist, shader, storyboarder, etc.)
