Sunshine (T.)ogether Street

Sunshine (T.)ogether Street

Project Overview

Sunshine (T.)ogether Street is a puppet show that lasted from the years 1959, all the way to 1965. Most of its content appeared in story books, although a few archived short episodes were found from the TV show. Unfortunately, not many clips were audible or even visually in contact any longer.

The show and story books seemed to be kid friendly, often involving around valuable life lessons, how to respect your friends, how to be yourself, and much more positive content related inside of the seemingly semi-lost project.

Originally, it was created in Mexico. Although, it became more popular and broadcasted in America, with the English dubbed already done in most of the found episodes and audible story books.

However, it didn't last forever, being ends abruptly, seemingly something to do with copyright strikes, or unfair use of content in some of its products merchandise, and official content too. In the last episodes and story books, horror slowly crept up, revealing an unspoken story of doom, scares, and something unnatural that wasn't on the top of the show's surface. Something went horribly wrong, and it wasn't meant to be exposed to the public. Not just yet.

(Editor's/author's note: This is a HORROR project disguised as a kid's media project! No, it is not MEANT for literal kids, and it is involving horror content inside of its media openly in later written story books and possibly shown episodes as well. This project is inspired mostly from sesame street, bear in the big blue house for its art style and overall surface level media, but its horror aspects and overall plot is inspired loosely by Welcome Home by Clown/Partycoffin, and also Don't Hug Me I'm Scared too!)

(This project is absolutely LGBTQ+ open, although politics obviously aren't spoken about, lol. This is just a fair warning that homophobia and transphobia will NOT be accepted or tolerated if I find out about it, since the project itself will include lgbtq+ characters, even if it's not in the official show's episodes or story books media. If you do not wish to be included in any of that with your character, then do not supply to this project! It's fine.)

(I am a mid to older teenager, just keep that in mind! I am not an adult YET, but I am definitely not a child, lol. Just thought I would put this out there publicly first.)

(This project is nowhere finished yet, and the fun has barely even started yet either as well! Many of the following characters, Laurie and Floridian, are still in progress at this very moment. Although, if you can stick with me, I can get the characters for at least the first audible story book drawn and written about in a day, no more!)

Tanner Maize is a Mexican-American/Latino young adult male puppet. In the show, he is portrayed as a milkman, who often came off as a bit gruff or cold hearted when criticized, or made fun of for his work and milk jugs. However, he wasn't rude in any sort of way. Matter of fact, he was more open minded than anyone else in the show. His character was important for being taught to kids about how to spend money, why to not steal, and how to develop basic life and health skills.

This role is a side, but important character. He often appeared with the main cast in the show.

Nicky is the main character and lead role for the show and overall project.

Nicky does not like rain or any sort of what he claims is a “disruptive or intrusive weather”, and dislikes being excluded out of activities, especially if a hang out gets cancelled due to weather or something that came up abruptly. He enjoys putting himself into situations or conversations that involves other people, more specifically his friends.

Nicky believes that he's a know it all, even though a running gag in the show is that he really isn't. He lacks knowledge even on basic subjects, such as different types of bugs, or if the earth rotates or not. One of his most commonly spoken and joked about belief in the show and story books is him believing in the cheese moon.
