Subject to Rejection (An Object Show)
Project Overview
Hello, folks!
So, for those of you who know what an object show is, or for those of you who just came out of curiosity, I welcome you! This here is an Object Show, being created by a good friend of mine who goes by Eli101Gamer Online. I'm more of a tag-along who managed to have some ways to help the project out (like creating this call!), so the show should not be confused as mine.
Though, as usual with Casting Calls, there are some requirements:
- We won't ask you to be present every day, but make sure you can get lines in within reasonable time periods once asked for them.
- Decent mic quality is important. We won't ask you to record in some ridiculous studio, but try and keep noise other than your voice out of the recording.
- It's a good idea to have Discord. This is an easy way for us to contact you and keep track of the cast once everyone is... well, cast. If you don't have it but we like your voice, I can manage things through E-mail or CCC itself. Though, having Discord is a big bonus that'll likely help you get cast.
That's about all! (For now)
But, there's a question I hear a lot of folks asking...
What's an object show?
An object show is a fun type of little series which I personally was only recently introduced to. It includes a group of characters who, as may be evident by the name, are personified objects. These shows include a host and a group of objects who form teams and compete in challenges. The losing team will have the viewers cast a vote for who should be eliminated. The winner is the last team standing!
In other words, it works similarly to the "Total Drama Island" series, but with objects.

Bop is the host of the show. Unlike most of the characters, they aren't represented by an item, and can really only be compared to an Oval if anything. They are odd about their actions, having what can come off as no limit to what they can do. Their most common abilities include mass summoning and manipulation of things like Pins, Thumbtacks, and beans, though he also makes use of two larger scale summons: The "Oh No Omatone", a way to project his voice for announcements (or just be loud in general), and the "Bop It Blaster", a large, devastating beam that originates from a large, floating Bop-it game. They are as goofy as they come, doing little dances, not always making sense, but always keeping their signature smile on their face.
Bop's voice is up to interpretation, but were looking for something way out there and just... goofy. Take a look at his face and just do what voice you come up with from that.
(Side note - I (Zavemann) will likely end up voicing this character anyways, but this call is here juuuust in case someone else can do this better than I can).
(Just be goofy. Make some noises. Say some stuff. It doesn't have to make sense. Just show us what we can expect from the goofier, crazier side of your take on Bop.)
(Long and drawn out) Hmmmmm...
(silence)
(Again) Hmmmmmm....
(Say anything you feel like saying. Bop doesn't have to make sense if he doesn't feel like it.)(Go crazy with this one. Don't be too loud, though. Just go full goof mode. This is basically his catch phrase, after all!)
BOP!
Radio has an old timey ring master sounding type of voice. He's very stern about the rules
of the show, and knows quite a lot of information (whether or not it's useful). He is very
certain about everything he does, usually not giving it a second thought. When and/or if he
messes something up he gets very embarrassed, and will try and make up an excuse why it's not
his fault. When someone insults him or breaks the rules he will try and get BOP (the host) to
"point" the person who did so. (When BOP points someone it's the equivalent of Four's from
BFB's screech or the zappies).
(Exasperated) No, no no! The rules of the challenge SPECIFICALLY SAID you can't do that!
(Matter-of-fact tone) And as can be seen in the rules, cross teaming is NOT allowed, just as I said.
(Irritated) Well, it doesn't matter what YOU thought. I told you the rules, which I memorized, and the rules cannot be ignored! Obviously the fault here lies with you.
USB/Flash Drive, being a child, has a very kid-ish sounding voice, and has little understanding
of big words. She will always try to break up a fight no matter how big. She can get flustered
very easily though, and can fall to peer pressure very easily.
(Nervous) Um...I don't know guys, this doesn't seem that safe, maybe we should head back.
(Concerned) Wait! Guys! Calm down! Can't you two just make a compromise?!
(Relieved) Whew! I'm glad I have someone like you on my team!
Sharpener has a very rough and deep sounding voice. He enjoys bullying others, and always
tries to come up with really personal insults that get under peoples skin. He may act smart,
but he's actually very dim-witted, and when being insulted he has to think for a second to
get the insult first.
(Mocking) Hah! Like I'd ever want to hang out with you losers!
(Annoyed) What a wimp! Why do we have to have the no-arms on our team?
(Insulted, angry) Hey! What did you just about me you little-!
Biscuit has a very scratchy and high pitched voice, and usual tends to have several voice
cracks mid sentence. He's nervous about doing anything or talking to anyone. And most things
scare him, even butterflies. When under a lot of pressure he usally will mess up somewhat, or
feel very paranoid about messing up. When scared he might do something like climb up a tree to
get away from whatever is scaring him, but then be scared about being up in a tree.
(Paranoid) Uh, I'm not sure if I can do this....What if I mess it up!?
(Startled) AH! W-w-what was that!?
(Scared) You don't think it was a, g-ghost do you?
Chocolate Chunk has a very high pitched, fluttery sounding voice,
She pretty much never talks full sentences aside from rare occasions, like being scared or
overly excited, so she usually just responds with a *mhm* or a simple nod to most things.
and tends to be very happy about everything. She usually needs to seek help from others
because of her short size.
(Cheery) Mhm!
(Make some general reaction noises. This character does that often, so just show a variety of such.)
(Spoken quickly, Exited) OhMyGoodnessThatWasTheCoolestThingIHaveEverSeenInMyLifeWow!
Inkwell just sounds like an edgy teen. She is very grumpy, not ever wanting to talk to anyone.
She normally just responds with groans, and when speaking is usally always complaining in
one way or another. Prefers not to make any physical contact with anyone, and will give up if
something is even remotely hard for her to do.
(Passive aggressive, Sarcastic) Oh, sure. One mistake *totally* gives you the option to give up.
(Peeved) Ugh... can't you do that *anywhere* else?
(Monotone) Nope, too hard. I've given up, and nobody can stop me.
