Welcome to Between: A Place Where Everything Happens For A Reason! Here you will find all sorts of otherworldly opportunities and unique beings. Around every corner is something quite magical waiting for you! Just remember, trips here are one way stops. There's no turning back from your destiny.
Stuck In Between is an animated show/project that follows Mirage and Skylar as they attempt to navigate being trapped in a new realm. Along the way they meet many strange characters and encounter odd circumstances. You know, typical otherworldly things.

Skylar is an anxious teenager who lacks basic social skills. In the human world, she was what people would call a social reject or even an outcast. These labels cause her to be uncomfortable with herself, which in turn makes it quite difficult to feel satisfied with life. Despite being a naturally awkward person, Skylar still strives to be something bigger than the issues she has. She is determined to make something of nothing. Three words to describe Skylar are: shy, quiet, and brave.

*Narrating* "Long ago, there was a world created alongside every other. It was a place made specifically for time and space to mix, eventually creating something we call destiny. The stories say it was created by a once-powerful deity as a form of punishment. Others suggest it was merely a place for wonder."
"Sometimes I wonder if there is more to life than this. Maybe I could become a pro skateboarder or something cool. Actually, that's stupid, never mind. Everyone knows that's not how the real world works...'"

Lead Role !
Mirage is an odd creature created from magic! The young shapeshifter comes from a savage, fight-for-your-life realm known as [REDACTED]. Her mannerisms and attitude reflect that of where she was raised. Oftentimes Mirage can be found willingly picking fights with others and is not afraid to stand up for herself or her beliefs at all. Despite being the equivalent of a child she doesn't hold back in the slightest. Despite her flaws Mirage is not evil or ill intentioned. She is merely a child who was led astray by misfortune and is constantly on edge. Three words to describe Mirage are: aggressive, honest, and loyal.
(Mirage may have an accent or be of any voice/gender! Shapeshifters only confine to the limits of your imagination ..)
"Oh my! Is that a silver plated, nightmare enchanted, blood moon cursed, Ouija hexed, poison dagger of foreboding and dread? I've NEEDED one for my collection!!"
"You did something terrible... I hope you live with the consequences everyday, cuz I sure do. Nothing will ever give them back you MONSTER!"

Renen is one of the most widely known names in Between. As a fashion and lifestyle influencer, Renen has a persona to uphold for the public eye. But, besides this, Renen is merely a normal being roughly sixteen moons old. She likes the same things as the other sixteen moon olds and even acts like them even though she's famous. Renen enjoys attempting to make friends irl. Having conversations is probably one of her specialties even if they all seem to get her nowhere. Three words to describe Renen are: talkative, outgoing, and lonely.

Noir justifies their actions in the name of science and family. Being the parental figure of both Coal and River made Noir realize just how dangerous the world can be. So, they resorted to... other means .. of trying to figure out how to solve problems. Maybe it's just the influence from the shadows, but it would appear that Noir lost sight of what's ethical long ago. Three words to describe Noir are: monotonous, crazed, and anxious.

River is a kind soul. She enjoys the simple things in life and gets by with what she has. Being a water elemental means she cherishes all things water related and will often enthuse about the beach... or any body of water in general. River loves to make other beings happy, but this often can lead to her being easily misguided or taken advantage of. This is especially true when it comes to her bad influence brother, Coal. Three words to describe River are: kind, soft spoken, and observant.
"Don't you think it's beautiful? The beach, it has everything you could ever wish for."
"You wonder about things a lot. I wish I could be like you... always thinking about stuff. Always able to express it freely..."
"Coal, are you sure about this? You mean well it seems, but this is not the way to go about."
A bad influence is exactly how many of Coal's acquaintances and friends would describe him. Coal has a fiery personality (get it.. cuz he's a fire elemental). His intentions are usually good, but his need to appear cool to everyone else sometimes overshadows this. Somehow he manages to be a jerk with a heart of gold. Three words to describe Coal are: unbothered, hot headed, and caring... surprisingly.

"It's weird how people assume stuff... They all think I'm a loser, huh? Maybe I am, but at least I'm having fun being one. I don't mind the label one bit."
"Hey! Stop that! I-it's not funny anymore."
A mysterious deity that is rumored to have created Between from the fabric of destiny itself. It also is said to create each being in Between by hand. No one has ever actually seen the Foreshadower, but it allegedly does not speak (well, not in the conventional sense at least...). The deity resides deep in the Pond of Pondering.
The Foreshadower can only communicate in/through dreams. This part is a lesser speaking part.
