Stitches and Symphonies
Project Overview
INTRODUCTION:
Hello everyone!! This casting call is for a student run project called Stitches and Symphonies! Our project is a short animated film (6-7 minutes) about our protagonist Stevia, a straight A student, who has a coming of age story when she is assigned to make a project about her passions, something she didn't realize she had. She is assigned to be with her partner, Sheena, who is very passionate about fashion and helps Stevia fulfil hers.
We're casting for two, crucial roles, while also having multiple random roles available. We'll also need help from the technical side, with video and audio editors, animators, and background artists alike.
This is a passion driven project, so we are open to anyone with different levels of experience! We'd love to add something new to your portfolio!
PAYMENT:
This is an unpaid project, and is volunteer based.
DEADLINE:
The deadline will be May 8, 2025. We have no plans to extend this deadline.
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU:
-We have a strict no Generative AI policy. All work that is used to audition and is therefore used in the film should be purely human made, by you.
-We require that all voice auditions must be in the English language(any accents are fine and definitely welcome), and that all people on board are able to communicate in English as well.
-We also require that all people cast should have a discord account, since that is our main way of communicating with everyone. If you don't have one already and are cast, please create one.
-FOR VOICE ACTORS- For your auditions, and if cast, your lines as well, we'll require you to format them in an ABCABC format, with all the lines said once, and then a repetition. This is to gauge which take may be the best suited for the situation shown in the film. You're welcome to add more takes, but be sure to edit out any takes that you don't want to be considered into the film. Also, we require you to have an mp3. file format. Also please be sure to be in a sound treated space(sound booth if you have one, closet, or even a blanket fort) and make sure your area is devoid of any background noises, so your result will be as clear as possible.
-Since this is a student project, we have a strict deadline on when you will have to submit your contributions. We have limited time, so therefore, you will too. Anyone on the project will have to provide their work within the deadline given.

Providing help with making animation whether it be story boarding, tweaking, helping with functionality or completion, can involve coloring and insight with scenes/ideas.
