Sapphire is the cool, calm and collected gem that fuses with hot headed Ruby to form Garnet, she loves Ruby with all of her being and would do anything to protect her.

Rose Quartz is the technical mother of Steven (oooooo gem babies). She gave up her physical form to bring Steven into the world and a lot of people resent Steven because of this. She was extremely close to the Crystal Gems most notably Pearl!
