Starstrum: School of Stars: A Minecraft Musical Series
This is a revival of a series I created more than a year ago. This is the second attempt of reviving the series and I hope it is the last one. I am determined to continue this before someone else accidentally thinks of this idea and I hope this works well so this will be a dream come true for me.
A Bit About The Plot/Story
Starstrum is a school where most superstars graduated; It's a school for aspiring dreamers that always wanted to improve or prepare for their future careers. Due to its prestigious status and the public's high demand, it's hard to get in. As much as the school wants aspiring dreamers to receive the education they need, there was nothing they can do to manage the amount of students that comes in every year so they did what they thought they needed to do. Only those who can afford to get in can get in and this was unfortunate news for the less fortunate.
Winter is a big fan of Detroit, a world renown superstar. She wants to be just like him when she's older. She looks up to him, they have a lot in common and so she wanted to go to Starstrum where he graduated to become a star. Despite her family's situation, her parents tried their best to save up and give Winter the opportunity to experience such a prestigious school. Her mother was against her going, not because they have financial problems but because she didn't want Winter to become a star and overwhelm herself but she still supports Winter and worked hard just to make her daughter happy.
Winter just wanted a normal life, she's aware of her family's situation and she prefers not to go despite it being her dream. One day, while she was complaining about how boring her summer has been, she stumbled upon an unexpected surprise and she has yet to know that this occurrence will change her life forever.
What was this unexpected surprise? What was Winter's mother hiding? Will her dream ever come true?
There's only one way to find out. If this series takes off, the story will unfold.
But... How does one unravel the secrets within the pages without the cast that will make the story happen in the first place, right?
Voice Actor Requirements/Reminders to Audition
Requirements/Reminders:
-Can sing or at least carry a tune if you’re going for a bigger role. Though some characters, major, supporting, minor or extra, don’t have singing parts so you can audition for that.
-Microphone. I’d prefer you to have a decent microphone and less to no background noises when recording. Whatever you have or prefer works but if you don’t have a microphone it’s alright, you can still audition and you have a chance to get the role just make sure you have a place where there are less to no {Preferably none} background noises or whooshing noises or whatever noises that dominates your voice in recordings.
-Patience. There are times that your character might have no lines for an episode or two but that doesn’t mean they don’t have any lines at all. When you get the role, I expect you to be patient. You weren't cast for nothing.
-Loyalty. Even if you'll only get extra or understudy/substitute, I’d expect you to still be active and ready to take in a role even if it takes a long time. I can’t guarantee how long this series is going to be but I’m just asking you to check in for updates, announcements and most especially, lines.
-Social media. Social media is an easier way to communicate. You must have social media where I can send lines and where you can send your recordings (Most preferably Discord so I'd have most of the cast in one place). Under your audition, put in your Discord or social media username where you’re mostly active so that I know where I can contact you and where we can exchange lines and recordings.
-Be Ready. If you didn’t get the role you wanted, don’t take it to heart. There are plenty of chances in the future. [Optional] I actually prefer it if you put your social media or discord under your audition so that if I liked your audition but you didn’t get cast, I might contact you for assets or for other projects in the future if you’re interested.
-Be nice to others. Don’t be bragging. Hope is good but don’t be too confident that you’ll get the role and never underestimate or belittle others that might be just starting their VA career.
This list of available roles is not yet complete. I might add some more in the future. I just want to publish the project here first so this project is not pending and I don't want to end up not publishing this.

Also you can make an instrumental and just send it to me if you think it’ll be useful and I can just write the lyrics.

Derrick Troy, commonly known as Detroit, is a world renown superstar. Known for his incredible looks and amazing music. He's kind and gentle but at times he could be a bit intimidated and the known reason, to him anyways, is because his manager wouldn't let him do anything that's not work related unless he has a valid reason. There are times he'd be sick of the fame and paparazzi but he loved making music and inspiring people... It's not the ideal superstar life he dreamed of.
[Singing character] He's the famous, world renown superstar known for his songs. It would be unfortunate if he can't sing.
[Angry tone but whispered that only the one you're talking to can hear]
Gavin, that was 16 years ago! I.. am.. NOT attached. I haven't seen her nor the child, MY child! Do you understand how hard it is for me to not try to look for them?! I did EVERYTHING you asked me to do!! I've kept this secret for 16 years, even from you!!
[Worried, talking to himself] Derrick, it's been 16 years... You HAVE to move on... You HAVE to accept that they don't want anything to do with you... It's been 16 years... Accept.. the... fact... They don't want to see you because if they did, you would have seen your kid all grown up already... What is wrong with me??? Just keep up the act... You're Detroit!! 16 years of press conferences and not a single word about them has leaked and that's what matters.
*sing something. a verse, a song,. Since Detroit is a singing character, if I have to pick the perfect VA, I have to know if you can AT LEAST carry a tune*
Tina Redd is the hardworking mother of Winter Redd and Sarah Redd. She's kind, a bit strict and humorous but a determined and supportive mother and spouse.
[Singing character.]
[Calm, a bit nervous] Jack... Winter wants to go to Starstrum...
[Jack {her husband} stays silent]
[Reassuring Tone] I know she's just a kid. I told her she can't go because she's still young but I just wanted to tell you since I want you to back me up if ever she decides to ask again in the future.
[A bit guarded and disappointed] I'm sorry Winter, I know you want to hang out with your friends but I really need you to help me with the preparations for your father's birthday and you know how stubborn your sister can be. I doubt she'll help at all.
[sing something, a line, a verse, a song.]
Gavin Martinez is the manipulative manager of Detroit. He's very strict and particular when it comes to Detroit's reputation and profile. He wants Detroit to follow his every moves and any idea of straying the path would be... Not good... The only time he'd be not at all bad is when he's living his luxurious life surrounded by money and maybe if Detroit actually has valid reasons to do certain things.
His significance is only a supporting role but he's influential to Detroit and the plot.
[Non singing character]
[mad] I know you've kept this for 16 years Derrick, without a trace of proof, but if The Vultures or the press finds out about this scandalous story, your career will soon be in the sewers before it even meets the drain.
[confused, then almost mad, then was surprised]
Don't you think this new song of yours is a little out of your style? I get that you're trying new styles but your current style is better than these... these--- OH... It reached a million streams in just a week. I mean... if people like it, then that's good.
Amy Garcia is one of the students in Starstrum. She became friends with Winter and gained confidence because of her. She used to be a part of Heart's [Winter's Rival] Group in her first year when she strayed because she didn't want to "feel powerful" and then became lonely until Winter became her friend. She's outgoing, passionate and sincere.
[Singing Character]
[Enthusiastic/ Daydreaming] How lovely would it be to have people cheering for you as you go on stage and sing from the heart?? That must be nice.
[Scared] I don't think I can do this... I can't stand when people stare at me when I sing... I can't do this... I WON'T do this...
[Sing a line or a verse of any song.]
Cherry Luiz is one of the students Winter befriended in Starstrum. They love fashion and want to be a well-known fashion designer. Quite friendly and a bit humorous. They are realistic and picky but creative and considerate. They're very enthusiastic when it comes to fashion.
{Non-binary}
[Non-Singing character]
[Focused] Hmmm... So tell me Winter, what is your style? Do you like a certain type of cloth? A certain texture?
Winter: uhm... something simple?
[Enthusiastic] Well... I'm glad you came to me for this domestic emergency because love, you need a tad more than simple when you go to an event like a gala.
[Reassuring then enthusiastic]
I understand that you don't have to be "fancy" to make a good first impression but just know that at the end of the day, you're still you. They're just clothes and clothes tell others about your personality not change it. Just because you're wearing a white gown, doesn't mean you're getting married. Besides, you're going to wear a dress made by an awesome designer... ME!!
Jack Redd is the supportive and humorous husband of Tina Redd. A loving father of Winter and Sarah. He's very hardworking and always look at the bright side of life. He's one of the best fathers you could ask for.
[Non singing character]
[Exhausted then surprised] Jack: Honey, I'm home. How was... Why are the lights off?
SURPRISE!!!
[Surprised] Jack: W-What?!! It's so sweet of you to surprise me on my birthday but it wasn't necessary.
[Cautious but has a sarcastic tone] Winnie, go after your sister in the kitchen... She may be young but she knows how to make cookies juuusttt make sure she doesn't make 'charcoal' cookies this time...
Meg Marley is Winter's bestfriend since elementary. She's cheerful, always excited and very supportive. Besides Winter's family, she's the only one that's not Winter's blood relative to call her "Winnie". She's basically her sister from another mother. They are so close and they share common traits like being fans of Detroit. Winter's family and her family are so close together that they consider them as their "extended family"
[Non Singing Character]
[Excited] *Gasp* no way! NO WAY! NO WAY you got into Starstrum!!! What did your mom say? How did you even manage? Wait... You didn't do anything illegal, did you?
[whispered excitedly] If only we could talk about Detroit but since we can't, whispering's fine... I can't believe you're following behind Detroit's footsteps. You're going to be a star, Winnie!! You're making me jelly to the belly!! That doesn't make sense but you know what I mean!!
[Reassuring then dramatic] Winnie, if you EVER become famous, please please pleaseee don't forget about us. YOU HAVE A FAMILY, YOU HAVE FRIENDS!! DON'T FORGET ABOUT USS!!! PLEASEEE...
Winter: You know. I wish you could go with me, you'd fit right in. You could study acting.
[Chuckles] You knoooww I always wanted to become an actress as much as you aaalways wanted to become a singer.
Principal Andromeda Astra II is the fifth principal of Starstrum. The Astra family founded Starstrum and each generation of their legacy becomes the new principal once the current principal retires. Principal Andromeda Astra II is an inspirational, welcoming and kind woman that seeks potential dreamers and give them a chance to go to Starstrum. There's a Decennial event in which 5 less fortunate students will be picked and given a chance to go to Starstrum until they graduate.
[Non singing character]
[Teasing] Andromeda: Oh... Calm down Professor. I know you're only jealous.
[Professor: Jealous? Jealous of what?]
[Straightforward then Disappointed] Andromeda: Of these children given a chance to come here and study in Starstrum. It's unfortunate that this is a decennial event.
[Welcoming] Welcome newcomers to Starstrum!! I am Principal Andromeda Astra II and I'm here today to offer myself as your tour guide and I'd be the one to give you the orientation.

Requirements:
-Can easily change and control your voice to make it sound convincing that two characters actually voiced by one person seemed like two characters were voiced by two different people.
-For stand-ins/understudies, when a voice actor of a bigger role can't perform their lines for an episode, you must know how to imitate their voice. If you can't, it's fine since I might cast more than one for this role, whoever has the voice that is closest to that of the other voice actor can temporarily voice the character.
-Note for the extras: Since your role is just an extra, I might make you say random, nonsense things that can be faintly heard in the background during an episode for "realistic effects" and I might sometimes ask you to exaggerate. Like cheering during a concert or panic when there's an earthquake. Something like that.
-Another note for the extras: You can be different people with different personalities each episode. I might ask you to be a police man for an episode, a news anchor or even a surfer dude. You may be just an extra but you play an important role each episode.
You can be both an extra and an understudy. You can play like 10 people in an episode...

I might cast more than one for this role. I need AT LEAST one female and one male.
Both Optional and Necessary... It depends on you.
If you can sing, after saying your improvised lines, you can sing a line, a verse of a song afterwards. Just in case when the voice actor of a "singing character" can't perform and there might be an episode where their character sings, I might ask you to sing. That is unlikely to happen but who knows, I might ask you to be a back-up singer or something. I say this is both optional and necessary because:
1. It's optional and even if you can't carry a tune, I'll still cast you; and
2. It's necessary JUST IN CASE what I said happens although it's unlikely.
I might cast you a bigger role or a certain character I haven't added to the list when I don't have VAs for them if I cast you as extra.
