In the aftermath of Order 66, when the Jedi Order faces extinction, "Star Wars: Echoes of Defiance" delves into the early journey of Pax Rhymner and Annkai Kelhar, two 16-year-old Padawans who find themselves stranded on a mysterious and treacherous planet after their mission goes awry. The series' first part, "Rise of Shadows," unveils a world rife with danger and deception.
Pax and Annkai, along with their Jedi Masters Valan Thorne and Lyssa Cael, crash-land on the unknown planet, where they quickly discover that not only is it inhabited by formidable creatures, but it also houses a hidden Sith military base. As the Padawans and their Masters navigate the hostile environment, Pax's determination and Annkai's resourcefulness shine, solidifying their bond and the strength of their Jedi training.
Amid the planet's ruins, the group uncovers enigmatic symbols that suggest a powerful connection to the Force. Zara Voss, a seasoned rebel fighter who had been captured by the Sith, joins their ranks and offers valuable insights into their enemy's operations. Together, they hatch a daring plan to infiltrate the Sith base, rescue imprisoned rebels, and sow the seeds of a burgeoning rebellion.
