Star Wars: Darth Vader - Dark Lord Of The Sith Comic Dub Series (Issues 1-25)
Project Overview
Star Wars: Darth Vader, alternatively titled Star Wars: Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith, is a canonical comic book series written by Charles Soule, with art from Giuseppe Camuncoli, that was published by Marvel Comics on June 7, 2017 as a second volume of the 2015 series of the same name. On December 18, 2018, the series ended with its 25th issue.
Beginning during the events of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith directly after Darth Vader discovers that his wife, Padmé Amidala, has died, the series chronicles Vader going on various missions across the galaxy, all the while hunting the few surviving Jedi alongside his band of dark side apprentices known as the Inquisitorius.
I am looking for talented voice actors who can bring these characters to life. Hopefully, my direction will help. For the characters that have appeared in the film franchise, tv shows, and video games I will be looking for a sort of impression of the characters with a bit of your own style in the roles. For the characters that haven’t appeared in other Star Wars content, I'm looking for people who can discover the right voice for the character(s) they want to play. People who can give their own spin that feels right for the character.
You audition for the character you think you can do well in. If you are given the role, you'll be given a list of the characters' appearances, the pages they appear in for you to record the lines, and an overview of the character to help you get to know the character (The overview will also be there in the characters audition spot down below). Make sure to read the specific scenes your character is in so you can understand the situation the characters are in and to know what lines your character has.
We want dedicated voice actors who will stick with the project! It's a short enough series (25 Issues), and if you are given a big role, we expect you to commit to the role. We will only be working on the first Volume for now. The later Volumes will come after we finish the first one. There are many other roles in the later Volumes so keep an eye out for those Casting Calls, too, if you’re interested.
When recording your lines, do multiple different takes so I can have a pick at which is the best while I'm editing (3 good takes).
Mic quality has to be decent (No background noise, no muffled audio, no movement of the mic while recording, no white noise, etc.)
It is a NON-PAID project. However, like many free projects, I will make sure to share your social media pages and give you exposure to other projects. You will also get experience.
You will be credited at the end of each issue you're in, links to whatever social media you want to show off will be in the description, and I will give you a recommendation for your work on Casting Call Club! I will also have you in mind if I'm working on any other projects, if you are interested. However, for now, we're just working on this particular series.
Make sure you have Discord and an email so you can contact you and send you your stuff. If you have Discord, you can join the server I have with the other VAs :)
Having fun is the main goal here! Thank you for reading, and hopefully, you'll be interested!
Here is the link to my channel to show what we've done in The Walking Dead series so far (It will show you what our projects are like):

Backstory:
Clone troopers, also known as Republic troopers, Republic troops, Republic soldiers, Regs, and nicknamed the "Boys in White", were highly trained soldiers in the Grand Army of the Republic. Representing the future of galactic warfare, clones were designed to be far superior to battle droids. During the last years of the Galactic Republic, clones formed the backbone of the Republic Military, which waged war against the droid armies of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Clone Wars were named after the Republic's clone army, which became symbolic of the conflict that had spread throughout the galaxy after a millennium of peace.
Clone troopers were grown on the planet Kamino at the request of Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas, who commissioned the Kaminoans to build an army for the Republic. After Sifo Dyas' death, the project was taken over by the Sith. Clones were modeled on a human template, the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett, although their genetic structure was modified to make them less independent and more docile than their progenitor. They were also designed to age at twice the rate of natural humans, accelerating their growth and making them ready for combat in a decade's time. As the Separatist Crisis gave way to open war, the Galactic Senate empowered Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine to call the clone troopers into action, leading to their debut on the battlefield of Geonosis. For three years, clones fought the Separatist droids on all fronts across the galaxy. They were loyal to their Jedi Generals and the Supreme Chancellor; though some clones questioned their service, leading to isolated cases of desertion and treason, most were proud to serve the Republic as it was the only life they had ever known.
Galactic history was forever changed by a hidden behavioral modification biochip implanted in every clone, which was part of the Sith's plot to destroy the Jedi. Chancellor Palpatine, discovered by the Jedi to be the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, as well as the reason behind the Clone Wars, branded the Jedi as the enemies of the state and issued Order 66, with the latter being a call for the annihilation of the Jedi Order. All across the galaxy, the clones turned against their generals, slaughtering them and storming the Jedi Temple on Coruscant under the stewardship of the Sith Lord Darth Vader. Sidious subsequently assumed absolute power as the self-proclaimed Emperor of the Galactic Empire. Clones initially served as Imperial stormtroopers in the New Order but were eventually replaced by human recruits and conscripts.
When We See Them:
We see the clones in different parts of the story.
FOR EXAMPLE: With clones beginning to be dispatched to secure Jedi sites instead of active combat, Ding and Kicker were part of the clone force sent to a Mid Rim way station named the Brighthome, which the former trooper feared represented the overall future of their kind; while new soldiers would be able to fight the enemies of the Empire, he feared the clones would be reduced to clean up operations. Nevertheless, the two thought they had a chance to prove themselves when an individual believed to be a surviving Jedi attacked the station. In reality, the intruder was Darth Vader, who had elected to not send out his clearance codes to fight the clones aboard. Vader slaughtered the majority of the troops who came against him, and, although Ding and Kicker briefly gained an advantage over the Sith Lord, Vader killed both with a Force choke, allowing him to leave for the moon of Al'doleem.

Kicker (Debating, Proud but Questioning) having a conversation with his impatient brother about the potential threat rising against the Empire. “Take this seriously. Every mission is important. If Emperor Palpatine wants this done, then we get it done. We beat the Separatists– Great. You think they’re the only enemies out there?”

Backstory:
Obi-Wan Kenobi was a legendary Force-sensitive human male Jedi Master who served on the Jedi High Council during the final years of the Republic Era. As a High Jedi General, Kenobi served in the Grand Army of the Republic that fought against the Separatist Droid Army during the Clone Wars, and was nicknamed "the Negotiator." Kenobi, however, was forced into exile as a result of the Great Jedi Purge initiated by the Republic's own clone troopers when Republic Supreme Chancellor, secretly Darth Sidious, implemented Order 66. As a mentor, Kenobi was responsible for training two members of the Skywalker family, Anakin and Luke Skywalker, both of whom served in turn as his Padawan in the ways of the Force.
Kenobi was born on the planet Stewjon in 57 BBY. He was Force-sensitive, and therefore taken from his family and inducted into the Jedi Order as a child. Raised in the Jedi Grand Temple on the planet Coruscant, Kenobi was assigned to Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn. In 32 BBY, Kenobi attained the rank of Jedi Knight by defeating the Sith Lord Darth Maul during the Invasion of Naboo. He also chose to train Anakin Skywalker—the prophesied Chosen One who was destined to destroy the Sith and restore balance to the Force—having promised Jinn who died in the lightsaber duel against Maul.
With the advent of the Clone Wars in 22 BBY, Kenobi adopted the military rank of High Jedi General in the Grand Army of the Galactic Republic, and was given command of the Open Circle Fleet, the Third Systems Army, and the 7th Sky Corps. Clone Marshal Commander Cody served as his second-in-command throughout the galaxy-wide conflict, with their forces achieving multiple victories over the Confederacy of Independent Systems. In the midst of the war, his old enemy Maul re-emerged into galactic affairs, bent on revenge against Kenobi for his debilitating defeat decades prior. Though they clashed in heated duels on multiple occasions, Maul failed to end Kenobi's life or cripple his spirit, despite murdering his former love, Satine Kryze, Duchess of Mandalore.
In 19 BBY, Kenobi killed the Separatist Supreme Martial Commander, General Grievous, during the Battle of Utapau, effectively ending the Clone Wars. He later survived the initial onslaught of the Great Jedi Purge against the Jedi Order, which resulted from the machinations of the Sith Lord Darth Sidious. After discovering that Skywalker had turned to the dark side of the Force, becoming Sidious' Sith apprentice under the name of Darth Vader, Kenobi defeated his former Padawan on Mustafar and exiled himself to the Outer Rim planet Tatooine as the Galactic Empire rose to power.
When We See Him (Through Vader’s Eyes):
Experiencing second thoughts about his journey to the dark side, Vader reassembles the lightsaber. He experiences a vision where he returns to the Emperor on Coruscant with the green lightsaber. Realizing that Vader has not embraced the dark side, he attacks the Sith apprentice. Vader defeats him in a duel and then travels to find his former Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. Seeking to atone for its wrongs, Vader bows before Kenobi who raises his lightsaber to strike him down. However, Kenobi experiences second thoughts and deactivates his lightsaber, calling Vader by his former name Anakin.
Awakening from the vision, Vader believes there is no turning back from the Sith path and uses the dark side to bend the kyber crystal to his will. As he pours his anger and hatred into the crystal, he experiences visions of the past including Kenobi, his late mother Shmi Skywalker Lars, Padmé Amidala and the Emperor. The dark side also triggers a lava explosion nearby.

You have allowed this Dark Lord to twist your mind until now… Until now you have become the very thing you swore to destroy.”
Obi-Wan (Heartbroken but keeping composure) telling Padme about Anakin turning to the Dark Side. He wishes it weren’t true but it hurts him to know that it is. “He was deceived by a lie, we all were. It appears that the Chancellor is behind everything including the war. Palptine is the Sith Lord we’ve been looking for. After the death of Count Dooku, Anakin became his new apprentice. Padme… I must find him.”
Obi-Wan (Distraught and heartbroken) after defeating his former apprentice and brother in a brutal fight. “You were the Chosen One! It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them! Bring balance to the Force! Not leave it in darkness!! You were my brother Anakin… I loved you…”

Arex was a Jedi training droid who served the Jedi Order on the moon of Al'doleem in the Mid Rim for many years. During the early stages of the Great Jedi Purge, Arex was present on the moon with Jedi Master Kirak Infil'a and was tasked by Infil'a with preparing the mountain's defenses when something dark was approaching. When Infil'a confirmed it was a Sith, the droid ran to intercept him, but before it could, Vader took its weapon and threw the droid off the mountain. After Vader was thrown off the mountain by Infil'a, he landed near the droid, which had survived. Arex then told Vader that he was defeated, but Vader responded by crushing the droid and using its parts to repair himself.

You have chosen a most difficult path indeed. It may lead to your death. The easy path, however, would allow you to live. Perhaps not as a Jedi, not openly, but–”
Arex (Slightly confused but informative) analysing his enemy's power and tactics to help give his Jedi master the best information he needs to defend himself and take out this monster. "My databanks indicate that Sith generally wield lightsabers with crimson blades. We have seen no evidence that he possesses such a weapon. But his abilities, and the way he chooses to use them, do suggest the Dark Side. I am sorry. I cannot say what he is."
Arex (Shouting/Protective/Confident) charging at Darth Vader with his electro staff, ready to fight him. “Do not fear, Master! I will destroy him! I have served the Jedi in this place for generations, and I will tell you this: The Dark Side will never—!”

Backstory/When We See Him:
Years prior to the Imperial Era, he married Mareena and started a garage on the river moon of Al'doleem. At some point, Kirak Infil'a visited the garage after taking the barash vow and paid them to store his ship there. Sometime afterward, Jogg had two children, Colli and his sister.
In 19 BBY, he heard voices while babysitting his child and asked Mareena what was going on. Mareena told him that Infil'a was back, shocking Jogg as it had been years since he'd seen him. Jogg and Mareena began repairing Infil'a's ship while he told them the mysteries of the Force. Colli was in wonder that Infil'a could lift heavy items, as she said that Jogg couldn't lift them without help, but he replied that the Force made all things light. However, he felt Darth Vader's presence and dropped all of the materials, worrying everyone. He ran outside to check, while Vader challenged Infil'a to a lightsaber duel. The whole family got out and stared at the two, while Infil'a ordered them to get back inside and fix the ship, which they did
Due to Kirak's warning, the ship was ready for launch by the time the city began to flood shortly after, allowing him and Mareena to put their two children into the ship and save them from the waters, despite Jogg and Mareena being forced to be left behind and perish from the flood themselves.

In her chief role, Nu was the primary caretaker of the extensive Archives, assisting fellow Jedi find the information they needed, while controlling access to several restricted vaults and artifacts.

Backstory/When We See Her:
Chanath Cha was a human female bounty hunter who operated during the Galactic Civil War. After her parents Ramat and Bhada were killed by Darth Vader during a hit on Cabarria, Cha swore revenge on the Sith Lord and vowed to kill him.
Chanath Cha was born around 31 BBY. During the reign of the Galactic Empire, when she was twelve years old, Chanath Cha, together with her mother Ramat and father Bhada had been paid to kill Darth Vader on Cabarria. Tricking Vader that a Jedi had been seen in a bar, the Chas sat ready to kill him when he entered. Using ion grenades, they neutralized all the weapons in the bar while Chanath tried to use her tractor rifle to seize Vader's lightsaber. However, he used the Force to seize the lightsaber midair and, under the strain of the two opposing forces, the hilt shattered, leaving only the red kyber crystal. Realizing they stood no match against the Sith Lord, they activated their shields and fled the bar.
All three got on a speeder bike and proceeded to escape. Vader followed them on his own speeder, and when they tried to blast them, he easily deflected their bolts. They proved to be capable of keeping away from him for a time until he crashed a massive vehicle in their path, causing their speeder to crash. Seizing Chanath in a Force choke, he requested that they tell him who had ordered his death. They told him about an anonymous bounty with an exorbitant price posted on the Hunter Net. Ramat, a talented slicer, offered to uncover their employer for him in exchange for their daughter's life. When they demanded that he release Chanath first, Vader refused and threatened to kill them all. However, the Chas countered that even in death, they would be together, so he could not threaten them with such tactics
Grudgingly impressed, the Dark Lord demanded proof that Ramat could deliver her side of the deal, which she proved by tracking the signal of the bounty back to Coruscant. Chanath was released as agreed, at which point the bounty hunters made their daughter swear that she would seek no vengeance against the Dark Lord, a deal Vader chose to honor. To complete the deal, Ramat provided Vader with the information he had requested and gave him the source of the bounty on him: the highest levels of the Republic Executive Building on Coruscant.

Backstory:
Darth Sidious, born Sheev Palpatine and also simply known as The Emperor, was a male human Dark Lord of the Sith and Emperor of the Galactic Empire, with his reign lasting from 19 BBY to 4 ABY. Rising to power in the Galactic Senate as the senator of Naboo, the secretive Sith Lord cultivated two identities, Sidious and Palpatine, using both to further his political career and deceive his way into accomplishing his goal. He orchestrated the fall of the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order through the Clone Wars, and then established his reign over the galaxy.
A vergence in the Force, Anakin Skywalker was born on the desert planet of Tatooine in Born on the Mid Rim planet Naboo in 84 BBY as the High Republic Era ended, Sidious possessed a strong connection to the Force, and was secretly trained in the ways of the Sith by Darth Plagueis. He eventually betrayed and killed his Sith Master, in order to train his own Sith apprentice, Darth Maul, for the Rule of Two limited their ranks to two Sith Lords at any given time. As a result of the Invasion of Naboo, a crisis orchestrated by Sidious, the Senate elected Palpatine as Supreme Chancellor. The Separatist Crisis and the Clone Wars were masterminded by Sidious and his new apprentice, Darth Tyranus, in an effort to achieve galactic dominance. Following an attempt to arrest the chancellor, the Great Jedi Purge commenced with Sidious enacting Order 66.
With the Jedi all but extinct, Sidious installed the New Order in the Republic's place, declaring himself Galactic Emperor and bringing an end to the millennia of democracy. Shortly after betraying and causing the death of Tyranus, he took on a new apprentice, having lured the Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker to the dark side and transforming him into Darth Vader. Their reign was virtually unchallenged for a generation until the formation of the Alliance to Restore the Republic.
When We See Him:
After what the Emperor would call a "long night," Skywalker was surgically reconstructed as a cyborg and encased in the armor and mask that would forever hide away who he had once been from the galaxy. As the procedure ended and the Sith apprentice rose, the Emperor approached him. Vader's first query was to know whether or not his wife was safe. The Emperor told him that he had killed Amidala in his anger. This final loss sent Vader over the edge of pure wrath and anguish, completing his transition into the apprentice Sidious had spent decades grooming. In his rage, Vader used his new limbs to tear away the restraints that held him to the operating table and the Force to destroy the droids who had just saved his life, before stepping unsteadily onto his new legs and screaming his despair to the galaxy as a satisfied Sidious looked on with a devilish smile.
Vader then turned his rage onto the Emperor, throwing him into the wall of the operating room with the Force. He angrily berated his master for promising that he could save his wife from death. The Emperor conceded that he had failed him in that regard but countered that, with her death, Amidala had given him something so much stronger: pain. This pain would fuel his power for decades and make him the dreaded Sith apprentice that Sidious had always coveted. It would also allow him to live. After a tense few moments, Vader released his master and proclaimed that he would live. Satisfied, the Emperor then assaulted Vader with Force lightning, pointing out his apprentice's lack of a lightsaber. Afterward, Sidious warned Vader never to use the Force against him in such a way again, or he would finish what Kenobi would not.

Emperor Palpatine (Firm but counseling) advising his apprentice to embrace the Dark Side. To become the Sith Lord he wants Vader to be. "Are you at a loss, my friend? Take heart. Your path is simple. Embrace the Dark Side. Bend it to your will, and it will provide everything you need... Your power will become endless, Lord Vader. And then we shall rule... As one...."
Emperor Palpatine (Angry/Taunting) shouting at his new apprentice while using his force lightning on him. Even though he's angry, he still shows his enjoyment of inflicting pain onto others. [His Iconic Evil Cackle] “Where is your lightsaber, Lord Vader?! Use your power! Defend yourself!”

Backstory:
Wilhuff Tarkin was a male human Eriaduan bureaucrat, military officer, and politician whose career spanned from the final years of the Galactic Republic into the reign of its successor state, the Galactic Empire.
Tarkin, a member of the Tarkin family, one of Eriadu's pioneers, served in the Galactic Republic's Judicial Department before returning to his homeworld to serve as its governor. When the Clone Wars, a pan-galactic war between the Republic and its splinter state, the Confederacy of Independent Systems, began, he enlisted in the Republic Navy, becoming a commissioned officer.
Tarkin continued to rise in power with the proclamation of a new regime, the Galactic Empire, ruled by the self-appointed Emperor Palpatine. Joining the ranks of the New Order's regional governors, Tarkin oversaw the needs of the new Imperial Army and, alongside Vice Admiral Edmon Rampart administered Project War-Mantle to transition the clone trooper army into an army of conscripted soldiers. As the first Grand Moff, Tarkin oversaw the Outer Rim Territories and was also involved in the secret construction of the DS-1 Death Star Mobile Battle Station. By this time, Governor Tarkin was seen as the third member of the unofficial triumvirate that led the Empire, including the Emperor himself and Darth Vader, whom he once knew as Anakin Skywalker. As provincial administrator of the regions of space along the galactic frontier, he sought to enforce Imperial rule on restive worlds such as Lothal, where rebel cells grew increasingly bold in their opposition to the Empire.
When We See Him:
A few days after the Declaration of the New Order, Tarkin journeyed to the Emperor's office on Coruscant, where he reported on the progress of the construction of the Death Star to the Emperor and Grand Vizier Mas Amedda. He reported that it would either meet or surpass expectations. Amedda then asked of the superlaser, to which Tarkin began to state that early tests were successful. However, he was interrupted by the arrival of a heavily injured Darth Vader, who blasted two of the guards into the office window, knocking them unconscious. Tarkin, having never seen Vader before, expressed concern for the Emperor's safety, but the Emperor replied that he was safe and dismissed both Tarkin and Amedda.
Some time later, after an assassination attempt on him, Vader sought to teach members of the Imperial Officer Corps of his power. He assembled a list of officers with access codes to Imperial systems at Level 1A1 and above, which included Tarkin himself. Although the Emperor himself approved of Vader's plan, he specifically requested Tarkin be spared, as he was required. Vader then went on to execute five randomly chosen officers at a Coruscant auditorium, demonstrating to the rest of the gathered forces his strength. As time went by, Tarkin would work with Vader on several successful missions

Governor Tarkin (Firm, Prepared) writing in his journal about the current state of him and his crew during their mission. "At dawn, the hunt will enter its ninth day. I began with twenty men, including myself. Eight remain."
Governor Tarkin (Firm, Cold with a hint of pride) reassuring his officers that the Empire is in power. “The regional governors now have direct control over their territories. Fear will keep the local systems in line. Fear of this battle station."
Governor Tarkin (Out of breath, Firm but hiding his confusion) after surviving a brutal fight against Vader that was part of his training. “Whatever you hoped to learn or understand from this madness, Vader… I hope you did. And I hope it was worth the cost.”

Backstory:
Padmé Amidala Naberrie was a human female senator who represented the people of Naboo during the final years of the Galactic Republic. Prior to her career in the Galactic Senate, Amidala was the elected ruler of the Royal House of Naboo. A political idealist, she advocated for the preservation of democracy as well as a peaceful resolution to the Clone Wars. However, her secret marriage to the Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker would have a lasting effect on the future of the galaxy for decades to come.
Born in 46 BBY during the Age of the Republic, Padmé Naberrie was raised by her parents, Ruwee Naberrie and his wife Jobal, on the peaceful Mid Rim world of Naboo. Despite the humble background of the Naberrie family, Padmé was identified early for her potential in public service. Devoting her life to civic duty, she was elected queen and, therefore, adopted the regnal name "Amidala" in 32 BBY. Due to the machinations of her advisor, Senator Sheev Palpatine, Amidala's reign was put to the test by the Trade Federation's blockade and subsequent invasion of Naboo. Unable to fight the Federation's army of battle droids without assistance, the queen beseeched the Galactic Senate on Coruscant for help, only to see her efforts hampered by bureaucracy and procedure. Although she ultimately liberated her homeworld with the help of the Jedi Order and the Gungan Grand Army, her decision to cast a Vote of No Confidence against Finis Valorum enabled Palpatine to become the Supreme Chancellor.
Following her reign, Amidala joined the Senate and struggled to resolve the Separatist Crisis through diplomacy, becoming a leading voice in the Loyalist Committee by 22 BBY. After surviving an assassination attempt planned by the Trade Federation, she was removed from the capital and sent back to Naboo under the protection of Padawan Anakin Skywalker. Though the Jedi Code forbade personal relationships, deeming attachment, and possession unbecoming of a Jedi, the two gradually became closer as their feelings for each other grew. In the aftermath of the First Battle of Geonosis, Amidala secretly married her Jedi protector, despite her own reservations about their relationship and the consequences they would face if the truth ever came to light. Their subsequent interactions were limited throughout the Clone Wars, with Amidala continuing to advocate peaceful solutions in the Senate while Skywalker served on the front lines as a Jedi General in the Grand Army of the Republic.
In the waning months of the pan-galactic conflict, Amidala revealed to her husband that she was pregnant. As a result of Skywalker's fear of loss, he was seduced by the dark side of the Force, believing that by becoming a Sith Lord he would gain the power to prevent his wife from dying in childbirth. Amidala witnessed Emperor Palpatine's declaration that her fears had come true; the Republic had become the Galactic Empire. After she learned of her husband's transformation into a Sith, she confronted him on Mustafar in the hopes that he had not truly changed, but he instead attempted to kill her. She ultimately died of a broken heart after giving birth to the twins Luke Skywalker and Leia Amidala Skywalker. With her dying breath, she insisted that there was still good in the former Anakin Skywalker, who embraced the persona of Darth Vader throughout the reign of the Empire.
When We See Her:
Amidala's death haunted Vader for the rest of his life. Despite the supremely brutal and ruthless being the Sith Lord became, he could never let go of the emotional agony caused by his wife's passing.
Immediately after the Battle of Fortress Vader, Vader used a portal to the dark side created by Darth Momin in an attempt to revive Amidala. After experiencing visions of his past and battling his way through apparitions of his many former mentors and companions, he finally found an apparition of Amidala standing on the balcony where they had married. The Amidala apparition repeated Skywalker's first lines to Amidala, and Vader, reverting back to Skywalker, begged it to return with him. The Amidala apparition refused and threw itself off the balcony, strangling itself to death and then being incinerated in a flash of lightning. As Vader looked on, he saw a blue light in the distance, out of which emerged the apparition of a mysterious Jedi who blasted him back into the present. Vader then destroyed the portal. Upon being contacted by his master, he was asked whether he had found what he was looking for. Vader replied in the affirmative, looking upon the field of corpses that had been caused by his experiment.

Padmé (Hopeful) answering a question about the future of the galaxy. “An end to this war, for one. And perhaps I’m asking too much. But I’d like to see a galaxy where systems aren’t forced to choose a side out of fear. I’ve always argued for peace. Tried to prevent the suffering of my own people and the greater galaxy. Let’s just say that today isn’t my first time being shot at. But trying to serve the greater good doesn’t exactly make you popular. This war breaks my heart more than I can say. The wounds run deep. But I still believe in what the Republic stands for. Everything we’ve worked so hard to build. I’ve given it my whole heart. My whole life. And I have to believe that the Republic will emerge from this war more united than ever.”
Padmé (Cold, mocking and frightening) haunting Anakin in a nightmare. Reciting a line he told her when they first met. “Are you an angel? They’re the most beautiful creatures in the universe…”
Padmé (Distraught, Afraid) pleading her husband to stop what he is doing. “I don’t know you anymore… Anakin. You’re breaking my heart! You’re going down a path I can’t follow… Because of what you’ve done. What you plan to do. Stop! Stop now, come back! I love you!”

Backstory:
Mas Amedda was a Chagrian male politician hailing from the planet Champala who served as Grand Vizier following the Galactic Republic's reorganization into the Galactic Empire at the end of the Clone Wars, a pan-galactic conflict between the Republic and its splinter state, the Confederacy of Independent Systems. A Chagrian with impeccable political skills, Amedda served as the Vice Chair of the Republic Senate in the chancelleries of Finis Valorum and his successor, Sheev Palpatine, who was secretly the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, something that Amedda was privy to knowing. In an alien gesture of authority, he would often punctuate his calls for order with a flicker of his long, forked tongue. Though he believed himself to be the pinnacle of the Empire in the wake of Emperor Palpatine's death, Amedda was instead remembered by history as a weak-willed sycophant of the Emperor.
With the galaxy at war, Amedda continued to serve in the Office of the Chancellor, leading the Strategic Advisory Cell and supporting Palpatine in his decisions as a wartime leader. As the war came to a close, the time for the Sith Grand Plan to be enacted arrived. Palpatine enacted Order 66, which had the clone troopers turn on their Jedi Generals and assassinate them, and, with Amedda by his side, created the Galactic Empire, the successor state to the Galactic Republic. In the chaotic repercussions that followed shortly thereafter, Grand Master Yoda confronted Sidious with Amedda in attendance. After the two engaged in a lightsaber duel, Amedda officiated a ceremony outside the burned Jedi Temple, in which he burned many-a-lightsaber that had belonged to the fallen Jedi. Amedda was rewarded for his loyalty to Palpatine, and he prospered under the Empire, serving as the Grand Vizier in the Imperial Ruling Council. One of the most respected figures in the fascist government, military leaders heeded Amedda's summons on behalf of Palpatine, while governors dreamed of being thought worthy of his attention.
When We See Him:
After having relayed the Emperor's message to Captain Kagi, Amedda spoke at a large public rally outside the former Jedi Temple to commemorate the Order's eradication. The Chagrian's speech proclaimed the Jedi's oppression and treachery to be over at the hands of Darth Sidious and heralded an "age of freedom" for the galaxy. In conjunction with the fiery address, Imperial stormtroopers dumped a basket of confiscated lightsabers into a large incinerator to be burned before the gathered crowd. Amedda himself added Yoda's lightsaber, lost by the Jedi Master during the duel in the Senate, to the crucible. The public demonstration ended after the kyber crystals in the lightsabers produced a large energy discharge from within the inferno.

Mas Amedda (Proud) making a loud speech in front of the people of Coruscant. Proud to be part of the new Galactic Empire. “Never again will we fear the Jedi!! Through the grace of our Emperor Palpatine, we were saved from their treachery!! Never again will we fear the Jedi!!!”
Mas Amedda (Curious) questioning Governor Tarkin on the Death Star’s construction. “And the weapon, Tarkin? Does that move forward on schedule as well?”
Mas Amedda (Annoyed but professional) commanding Admiral Piett to inform Darth Vader that the Emperor wants to speak with him. “The Emperor requests that Lord Vader immediately make contact.”
