[STAPLED] - Call for Production!
Project Overview
[STAPLED] tells the story about a new employee adjusting to his rather cold corporate environment. While he works on his tasks, his coworkers hoard him for help, which causes him to spiral into a nightmarish hellscape for the remainder of his shift. It is a story about compulsion: the guttural need to help others, despite your own circumstances. A short film so weird you won't be able to stop watching.

This short film was selected to be my senior thesis! Now entering the production stage, the short film will be fully complete by May of 2026!
I did a previous casting call to gather some voices for my pitch itself. After selling it to faculty, I'm now entering a big production stage and could use some extra help!

For this role, I'm looking for some help on some music composition. If you watch the rough animatic above, you'll notice there's a placeholder song behind the "nightmare sequence", and I'm seeking out someone to create a remaster of the audio. I'm not too strict on how or what should be done, but all I ask is that all of the timing beats remain the same. This will be a collaborative process.
I'm looking for people who've created music/beats similar to my inspirations for this piece, which are the following: Exxus by Glass Animals, Slice of Life by Glass Animals, My Time by Bo En, Red Sex by Vessel. I'm looking for a song that's weird and unnerving, something that builds into chaos as it progresses. I'd love to see all your portfolios, and if you don't mind providing a brief few sentences about how you'd fit this role that would be great!

As if there weren't enough already, I'm looking for a few more voices to add to the chaos! I will be sampling the audition tapes provided and splicing them into the current audio!
The audition itself is very much improv - the below lines are just ideas! But I encourage you to go off the script and come up with some of your own lines! For this role (which multiple people will be selected for), I'm looking for variety in both lines and voices, so if you'd like to audition using multiple voices or some adlib I'm super open to it!
(Whails or Cries) And/ Or (Yelling or Screaming with Rage)
(Anxious, but hopeful) "You're gonna help me, right..? Right? You've got to, right?"
(Angry) "You have a JOB to do, and you need to do it NOW! GET TO WORK!"
