Coral and Jake are both 14 year old inklings currently living in Inkopolis Plaza. When The Great Zapfish is stolen, they both know something is up. After finding Cap'n Cuttlefish, both are assigned the roles of Agent 3. After discovering each other's existence, their friendship grows on the path to save Inkopolis Plaza. Will they be able to rescue The Great Zapfish, or will power go out in their city?
Extra Information:
If casted, you must be prepared to return for later parts and seasons as we will be continuing this show until the Splatoon franchise ends. Both of the Agent 3s have love interests later on in the story, although not in Part 1 (Splatoon, or Splatoon 1 as some people call it). The script couldn't include what happens during the levels, as when writing it I didn't have every single movement predicted-it wasn't possible-so you'll need to be able to improvise with the clips I give you. Please make sure you are accustomed with what terms are commonly used in the world of Splatoon for your improvising; it will make the characters seem like they're actually part of a different world. It's not required, but it is preferred, that you know the video games well enough to understand what's going on. The storyline for Part 1 mentions bullying and Part 2 mentions abuse. If these are sensitive topics for you, please don't audition. I wouldn't want anyone feeling uncomfortable when working on the project. This project is open to anyone, however if you receive a role and are found cursing or doing inappropriate things I will immediately recast. This is one of the reasons why I'm going to have an understudy for many of the roles.
Communication:
Although Discord and Gmail are the preferred ways of communication, I can also work through Casting Call Club-which is simple, easy, and accessible to everyone auditioning.
Other Positions:
If you don't want to voice act, but are looking to help in some other area, then stay tuned. I've been playing with the idea of having some scenes animated, instead of made from game content. A more certain position would be to help create the music for intros and credits. Although me and the team currently working on this production have loads of scrapped pieces that we could use, we're always welcoming more help! There is one more role that we are in desperate need of for both this part and other parts: Visual content helpers. In order to give us a hand in this area, you will need either a Wii U and Splatoon, and/or a Nintendo Switch of some sort with the game Splatoon 2 (Octo Expansion as well if you would like to help provide the visual content for Octoling characters in part 3). This job is a bit more complex as you will need to change your Mii's name (For Splatoon) or username (For Splatoon 2 and Octo Expansion) temporarily, along with the appearance of your inkling/octoling. While the script is finished for both seasons of Part 1, we are still working on the production of visual content for the episodes. Don't worry about the improvisation for now unless we send you the scenes. We have you covered for episodes 1 through 3 as they are ready to have voice overs added!
