WELCOME TO SPLATA-DUBS! A fan-made voice-acting group made for the Nintendo game, Splatoon. We plan to do mostly dub over Fan comics(With credit, of course!), along with some shitposts and memes, and maybe some in-game content aswell for the twitter account, @SPLATA_DUBS
NOTE: This is the SECOUND WAVE! These are the unassigned characters still, along with a couple new ones added.
I encourage anyone to audition!! beginner VAs are encouraged and welcome here :) Just Please follow a couple of simple requirements!:
1)- Please be over the age of 13! This is the minimum age requirement for the platforms we're going to use in both communication and posting.
2)- Have a decent mic! I need to be able to hear you clearly, and also nicely, so please don't just use your phone mic! (Useless your phone's microphone has a high-quality mic in it.) Please also be at a decent volume aswell, so I can hear you, without having to turn up my volume SUUPER high, or hear your mic peaking and hurting my ears.
3)-Own BOTH a discord and Twitter account! Discord will be needed for communication with dubs, and be the MAIN communication if your audition is accepted! I will message you privately once on casting call with the server link if you got the role, and that'll be it. A twitter handle is also required, due to the fact I'll need to tag you in any dubs you end up doing!
4)-LASTLY, have a BASIC understanding of the Splatoon Story/Play the game! There will be spoilers to the story modes of ALL of the three games that are in the franchise, so having at least an idea of what's going on in the story is required, so things make sense on your end! Here's some videos I do recommend that'll help you understand things. This should take less than 40 minutes!:

next, the wanted roles, aka roles I'd really like to have casted for this Wave. Marina is a big priority, so If you're going for an Idol, Please try for her!! If you don't wanna do VA things? Artists and Editors are needed, and I'll be casting Multiple! I've already casted 2 editors so far, so artists are a higher priority for now.
Lastly, The casting results will be live on our discord stage! This will be happening on September 15th, at 10:00 PST.

The protagonist of Splatoon 3. Unfortunately, there is not much known about their personality...
For their voice, a medium pitch voice would work. This one is more up to you! go wild!! Get creative!

The protagonist of Splatoon 2. They tend to go with the flow of things, and pretty easy-going and relaxed, while having a lot of confidence, and being a diligent worker.
For their voice, they sound pretty confident, yet with a relaxed undertone. A medium to slightly high-pitch voice would work for them.

One of the two idols involved in the Idol duo, Off the Hook! She's a bit reserved, but nonetheless, very sweet and gentle, and tends to be very sentimental and tender-hearted. She can get a little bit sassy if you tease her, though.
For her voice, she's warm and friendly, with lots of emotion in her voice. A medium pitch-voice would work for her!
[Fangirling, Excited] Wait. Then you're holding...a piece of Marie's soul?! That's too cool! And I'm close enough to TOUCH it. I'm freaking out over here!
[Tearing up, Emotional] Sometimes, when colors clash and mix, you end up with mud. But every now and then, you get to see a beautiful rainbow! And in the end...that's a gamble I'm willing to take! With Pearl, and Eight, and Acht, and everyone else!
[Cheerful] Don't get cooked... Stay off the hook!
One of the three members in the idol group, Deep Cut! Frye tends to be more reckless and energetic, often rushing into dangerous situations head-first without an ounce of fear or hesitation, and wearing her emotions on her sleeve. At times, she can appear menacing, or brag about her abilities, but it's all in good fun, to her at least, being one hell of a fun-loving individual.
for her voice, she's very energetic and high spirited, without a care in the world. a slightly high pitch voice would work for her!
[Boldly] Say it with a sizzle...I'm Frye!
[Annoyed] Bah...You wanna solve this splatlands style, huh? Fine by me!
[Confident] Sound like you folks need help...and Deep Cut is here to steal the spotlight!
One of the three members in the idol group, Deep Cut! Big man tend to be more relaxed and laid-back, often being the voice of reason between the other two member of Deep Cut. He loves fun and having a good time. "Ay!" will be his primary line.
For his voice, it's lower pitched, and relaxed. Think of that stupid FNAF beatboxing video for reference. PLEASE ALSO VOICE THE LINES IN THE PARENTHESIS ASWELL!
[confident] Ay! (Big Man the manta's here!)
[Panicked] A-ay! (Uh..Try different weapons? And different stratagies! Ack! I panicked!)
[Cheering] AAY! (Great work team! Stay focused, stay positive, and show 'em who's boss!)
The "Manager" of the Hotlandis shop, but not really. She just fills in for the regular manager, due to his frequent absence. She is the vocalist for Chirpy Chirps, though! Harmony's very relaxed and goes her own way, often being distracted, often fidgeting with an Ultra hand.
For her voice, She sound spacey, and distracted, not really paying attention to much of anything. A medium ranged voice would work.
[Distracted]I don't really work here, but you can shop around, and I'll sell you stuff..
[Hesitant] Cool, thanks. I, uh hope your locker is looking really fresh, or something.
[Distracted] Keep up the good...work? Is it Work? Whatever. Keep doing it.
The owner of the headgear shop, Cooler Heads, over in Inkopolis! She seems always to be in thought, and is pretty reserved, and gets flustered pretty easy.
For her voice, a slightly high-pitched voice that sounds a bit flustered and a little quiet would work
[Hesitant] Oh...Hello. So...Welcome to Cooler Heads. Feel Free to, um, look around if you want..
[Quietly] Y-You'll buy it..?
[Flustered] Thanks, um, a lot! Y-you know that you can tap equip on your joystick to swap out your gear, right?
The owner of the headgear shop, Headspace, in inkopolis square. she's very relaxed and spacey, with some of the local inklings referring to her as a "Crazy Aunt."
For her voice, a High to medium pitched voice would work well for her.
[Greeting] Ah, Hello my little inkfish. Welcome to Headspace!
[Asking] You'd like to buy it?
[Thankful] Thanks, Sweetie. If you're looking to renew yourself, press plus to equip!
The character who provides gear-related services in both Splatoon 2 and 3! He's a bit laid back, and seems to refers his customers by the nickname, "Chum"..
For him, a Medium to Low pitch voice would work well.
[greeting] Oi, Chum.
[Questioning] Oi! Have you ever added a gear ability before? No big deal if you haven't.
[Proud] All set! Hope it ups your battle game. And if it doesn't, well....you'll still look cool, so don't sweat it.
Originally known as "Cap'n Cuttlefish", He is the former leader of the Squidbeak Splatoon, and New Squidbeak Splatoon. he's alot like your typical war veteran. He is fond of rapping, however!
For his voice, he sound old. like an Old man. There really isn't much to describe here, but a lower pitch voice would work for him/
[Startled]Zzzzzz... Hu-WHA?! No, I wasn't sleeping. I was just... resting my brain.
[Determined]We gotta get the Great Zapfish back from those Octarian punks!
[Curious]Whaddaya like to eat these days, kiddo? Food? Are kids still eatin' food?
The Leader of the Octarians, and Main antagonist of both Splatoon 1 and 2. He's very boisterous and loud, usually being a bit full of himself, but he does show some care to his underlings. He's also very determined, never being de-motivated by any of his losses.
For His voice, It's very loud and booming, with a bit of a gruff undertone. A low-pitch voice would work for him.
[Confident] GYAH HA HA! I'ma remix your face!
[Dumbfounded] That Heavenly Melody...it's the one and only SQUID SISTERS!!
[Upset] BLGRRARGH! Splat you, Squid Sisters! I CAN'T RESIST YOUR POPPY GROOVE!
The conductor of the Deepsea Metro and guide to the underground test facility in Octo Expansion. They seem to take their job very seriously...
For their voice, a medium to low pitch voice would work well.
