Project Overview
Introduction
Hey everybody this a small original piece and ep 1 of the series. All of it will be in English, but characters should have accents. All characters will be of different races so get ready to show off some skills.
Overview
The story of Ratom and Goorin will lead viewers to see the ins and outs of freedom. Travelling through many different kingdoms,villages and dungeons. What was once white and black before is now grey. There will always be trouble brewing and no simple solution. Whether a solution solves something or creates more chaos will be explored as the adventures continue.
This is a series aimed for every age.
Deadlines
September 2 is the deadline for the roles. Aug 31 is the last day I will give feedback. I will be reviewing the lines and giving feedback to those that want it so please leave it in a description if you want feedback. The deadlines for the actual project should be finalized in 1-2 weeks after you have been casted. So from September 2 all the way through the 16th. Please be open to record lines. Same thing for the artist. If we get an animator we will discuss how long and fast you are comfortable with creating the series.
what to expect
Expect me to really want the best from you and to push you in becoming more. I know this project is personal and I care for it, but as my VA's and artist etc know I appreciate each and everyone of you for your work. All credits will be set in stone for each one of you. Also if you need references from me go ahead and let me know. I will be using Discord mainly as our means of communication. I might have a quick one on one to get to know you and see if you need anything before starting. Other than that enjoy yourselves have fun, experiment and use your creative freedom. I am not here to limit you, but to guide you as the creator of the series.
What I ask of you
-Never give up always try to submit auditions and ask for help and have fun doing so.
-Try and make sure to have clean recordings if possible. If the audio is to extreme to fix I will not be able to use it.
-Don't mix vocals keep them raw unless its to remove background noise.
-Feel free to cut the lines for the best three. Saying a line twice is okay just make sure its different.
-Submit your files as a Wav file
-This is a series so if you get a lead or supporting role I plan to cast folks willing to stick around for a while.

-Animators we will also discuss.

Goorin - Pronounced GO-RIN is the main lead of the story. Around the ages of 10-12 with whatever accent you please. Goorins parents are Savar and La Wei. Goorin is from the desert village of Kovo.
He is a kid that contains the spirit of Ratom, even though he is still a child in many cases there will be moments where Ratom influences Goorin for better and worse. Goorin has to see face many trials ahead of him, but that doesnt stop him from having fun and being a kid. He can be rebellious and almost impossible at time to handle, but what can someone expect from a 10-12 year old.
hmmmmm…[drag it out loud to soft] Mom and Dad are gone. I think they went up there! [Absent Minded while saying this]
There was trouble, Mom and dad were struggling keeping the house together. The storm wasn’t normal, and they couldn’t keep up… [Somber]

Elder Korr is the Wise Elder that takes care of the surrounding villages. He is appointed to be the messenger of each village. He likes to joke around often. A father thats caring and a leader that helps villages he is a naturally respected leader. Have that confidence while becoming him.
[Laugh] HAHAHA! This boy to think he’d jump into that well with no fear. [Impressed]
[Talk like an Official] Hello Goorin, I am Elder Korr this is my daughter Akani and this is Raya a high-ranking member of the courts.
[Coughs] Goorin what else do you remember? There was a sandstorm yesterday. Both your parents were the only ones missing from the evacuation order we sent with the messenger Cacti.

Official Raya is part of the council that supervises all the villages. She can seem serious and stoic, but cares for her people. Strong and downright scary at times, she is a leader people look up to and respect.
[Surprised] Is that? No, it can’t be.
[Tired] Elder I don’t think my heart can take any more of these crazy antics today. [sighs]
[Anxious] Goorin who is your mom and dad?

Akani is a sweet girl that works with her father. She is diligent and often stubborn, yet caring for people close to her. She relates with people showing deep empathy, but with her own limited experience rarely tries to offer advice.
[Confused] Dad is that who I think it is?

[Serious] Goorin that’s not possible. Your mom she… she was expected to give birth anytime, but… [akanis voice changes to a whisper and her head slowly looks down] that’s not possible.

Savar is Goorin's father. He is strong willed, never quits, but has trouble connecting with people.

[Angry] Its you! I already did everything you wanted. What do you want from us now!

La Wei is Goorins mother. She is the caring mother many never get to have. She never faults someone, but truly believes in good. She is strong willed and learned never to rely on anyone until she married Savar where they both learned to depend on one another. A tiger mom at heart she wanted everything for Goorin.
[In a panic] Goorin *cough* Goorin! Honey the smoke! It’s not normal!
[In utter fear and desperation] No! Get away from him!
[In pain] Goorin Od.

??? is a dark spirit and the main antagonist to the start of the story. Although it is genderless the voice used will be female. Angry and feels betrayed ??? plans to take everything from Savar and La Wei. The first line will be the hardest for many of you ??? should feel downright terrifying. . Bird like face, with two snake slit eyes and black wings. Along with it's scythe like arms be prepared to get scary.
[Menacing] Hahaha Savar you thought you could take what you want and never give back what is mine? You foolish humans never learn. When I make deals, they must be upheld.
[stoic] I want everything that you’ve gained. If it wasn’t for my protection and constant fighting would you have lived these few years in peace?
[Starts getting angry] No! you will pay for betraying me!

Ratom is one of the first Sentients here before anything was really created. It is bound by nothing and is the representation of freedom. Have fun with this character. Ratom is mysterious, caring and insightful. He will accompany the main protagonist as a mentor/master of sorts. A voice of reason, but at times can be just as cruel.
[Serious] He will be different from anything in this world. Will you accept these terms?
[Curious] Do you want me to save it?
Then from now on Goorin Od will be the first disciple of Ratom.

Not looking for extreme 8 man animation teams that do wicked cool stuff. More simple animation that can portray the message and dialogue of the story. Think Moving comic on screen. If you can animate more than that simple stuff huge +. Have fun with the animation process I am just here to guide you and show where things happen in the story etc. This role specifically will have the most oversight from me not to critic or judge but so that I also learn the process and we build a relationship for future projects.
