Spider-Man: Nightfall
Project Overview
Spider-Man: Nightfall follows an experienced Peter Parker, now happily married to Mary Jane Watson and working as a science teacher at Midtown High, as he balances his personal life with his responsibilities as Spider-Man. After a brief recap of his years protecting New York, Peter stops a robbery by the Shocker, reminding audiences that while crime never ends, he has become the city's trusted hero. When a series of gruesome murders leaves victims mysteriously drained of blood, Spider-Man crosses paths with NYPD Captain Yuri Watanabe for the first time as they investigate the case together. Their search leads them to Michael Morbius, a brilliant scientist who has recently transformed into a ruthless vampire and is spreading terror across New York. As the killings increase, legendary vampire hunter Blade arrives in the city, having heard of Spider-Man but never meeting him until now. Though the two heroes initially clash over their methods, they form an uneasy alliance to stop Morbius before the city is consumed by darkness. As Peter struggles to protect both New York and the life he has built with Mary Jane, he must confront an enemy unlike any he has ever faced. Forced into the supernatural world for the first time, Spider-Man learns that not every threat can be solved with science or strength alone. In a final battle against Morbius under the cover of night, Spider-Man and Blade fight to save the city from the vampire's reign, proving that even in New York's darkest hour, hope can still rise with the dawn.
A disciplined NYPD captain. Practical, intelligent, and unafraid to challenge Spider-Man when necessary.
"I've spent years cleaning up this city's messes. Don't make yourself another one."
"Three victims. No blood. No witnesses. Whatever we're dealing with... it isn't normal."
"I don't have to like the mask. I just have to know you'll be there when this city needs you."
Peter Parker's lifelong best friend. Loyal, optimistic, and always the first to believe in Peter, even during his darkest moments. Though Harry sacrificed his life years before the events of Spider-Man: Nightfall, his encouragement continues to inspire Peter through heartfelt flashbacks.
"Pete, you spend so much time worrying about everyone else... you ever stop and think maybe they're worried about you too?"
"None of that matters now Peter...you're my friend."
"You're stronger than you think, Pete. Not because of the mask......because you're you."
A seasoned career criminal who relies on his vibro-shock gauntlets. Cocky, sarcastic, and always looking for an easy payday.
"Would you stop making jokes for five seconds and let me rob this place?"
"You know what your problem is, Spider-Man? You never quit!"
"Next time we do this... I'm bringing bigger gauntlets."
The legendary Daywalker. Stoic, intimidating, and brutally efficient. A man who has spent his life hunting monsters.
"You're Spider-Man. I've heard the stories. Didn't expect someone so... talkative."
"You pull your punches. Monsters don't."
"You still think everyone can be saved. Don't lose that... the world already has enough people like me."
A brilliant scientist whose experiments transformed him into a ruthless vampire. Intelligent, charismatic, and terrifyingly calm.
"Do you know what hunger feels like? Not the kind that passes after a meal... the kind that consumes every thought."
"Humanity feared evolution. I embraced it."
"You call me a monster, Spider-Man. Yet every night you wear a mask and terrify criminals. Perhaps we're not so different."
The brilliant leader of the Fantastic Four and one of the world's greatest scientific minds. Reed Richards is calm, analytical, and endlessly curious. Though his appearance is brief, he provides Peter Parker with the scientific insight needed to pursue a cure for Morbius. Reed sees Peter as a respected colleague rather than a student, making their conversation one of mutual admiration.
"Peter Parker... you only call me when the laws of biology have officially given up. So, what impossible problem are we solving today?"
"Fascinating... these cells aren't mutating—they're constantly rewriting themselves. Whatever happened to Dr. Morbius, it isn't behaving like any disease I've ever studied."
"I can tell you what you're looking at, Peter. Finding the solution... that's your specialty."
We're looking for a composer capable of creating a cinematic orchestral score for a fan film centered on an older, more experienced Spider-Man. The music should balance hope, emotion, and heroism while supporting the film's darker tone. The score should feature memorable thematic writing, with recurring motifs for Spider-Man, Morbius, Blade, Mary Jane, and New York itself.
For the audition: Please compose a 60–90 second original orchestral cue that captures Spider-Man soaring through New York after years of experience. The music should feel mature, heartfelt, and inspiring, with room to evolve into darker variations throughout the film. Avoid imitating existing themes directly—draw inspiration from their emotional qualities while creating something distinctly your own.
