Sonic Corruption is a project I made on a whim to celebrate Sonic's birthday. I slowly started developing the concept a bit more since it interested me and it gave me something to work on. I've caught a bit of a snag, however. I need voices!
Overall gist of the story:
Vitiate, a villainous entity, is traversing through several dimensions/worlds and spreading a glitchy "virus" throughout each one she travels through. Sonic encounters Vitiate, but is given this virus and is quickly beaten. Sonic is cast to a different dimension where he meets Serenity, a ghostly yet robotic entity who claims she can help manage Sonic's sickness if he agrees to help her stop Vitiate.
(This is all still in-the-works, so some elements are still changing, but the overall base story is set in stone.)
Work info:
Work will be ongoing for a time, but should be pretty sporadic and very easy. I don't want the animatics to go beyond 3 minutes each since that's a lot for me to draw. I don't have a perfect gauge of workload other than that 😅. The animatics will be story inserts similar to the Sonic Storyboard series!
Auditioning info:
You're free to use any microphone EXCEPT the ones build in on the device you're recording on (phone, tablet, Mac, etc).
Please keep any BG/unnecessary noise such as echoes, plosives, fans, lawn mowers, barking dogs, etc, as limited as possible.
Record in AABBCC format and include versions of your voice without any filters/alterations please!

Quick update! I will (hopefully) cast the VAs sometime during Jan 16th! Still very busy with stuff rn. I will very likely host another Casting Call for this project, as I do plan to add several more Sonic characters and at least a couple more original characters 👍

I'm extending the audition deadline on this by adding two extra weeks! I apparently have several different things/deadlines right at the start of the New Year and I just haven't had time to think about this properly 😅

Vitiate is the antagonist of Sonic Corruption, spreading a "virus" that's disrupting multiple dimensions/worlds.
Vitiate should have a feminine voice, but you're free to play around with range and speech style! The voice will be covered by a filter anyways (similar to Infinite [from Sonic Forces] and Serenity).
