Official description:
The sole thing that gets the middle-aged Sasaki through his soul-sucking job is a cheerful smile from Yamadaβthe young woman who works at a nearby 24-hour supermarket he frequents. After every tiring day of getting berated by his boss, Sasaki stops by the store to have his spirit healed by his favorite cashier.
After a particularly grueling day, Sasaki shows up at the supermarket, only to find that Yamada's shift has already ended. Disappointed, he searches for a place to smoke when a woman from behind the store calls him over to join her. The bold and dangerously playful Tayama is quick to call out Sasaki's peculiar habit of always seeking out her coworkerβeven going as far as telling Yamada about Sasaki's vested interest in her.
Now, in addition to seeing his adored cashier Yamada, Sasaki also visits the store to see if his new smoking partner Tayama is around. But there is more to Tayama's mischievousness than she initially lets on. With every cigarette, an unlikely friendship begins to blossom.
This anime is compact and sweet, with each episode ranging from 12-17 minutes total. It is an extremely small cast, so I am looking forward to a quick turn around, and hoping to have it all dubbed under a year.
Here are some considerations:
Make sure that your mic quality is stable and background noise is minimal. I am taking your audition as a line that you would think is acceptable to turn into the final product.
Due dates for lines are one month per episode. This gives enough time for recording, redos, and for me to edit.
Since this does not have a dub, there will be a measure of lip flap matching required. I am always available to help with making sure you know what you are doing.
When you submit an audition, please put your Discord handle and age/age range in the description. Keep in mind that all characters are adults (not that they do anything nsfw, but for informative purposes).

So apparently, there is an official dub of this anime that's being simulcast in Canada! Regardless, I am still doing a dub, and I am loving hearing everyone's interpretations of Sasaki! It's going to be a difficult choice for sure!
Sasaki is a 46 year old salaryman. He is a hard worker who is dedicated to his job and looks forward to his daily visits to the supermarket, where he gets to see Yamada working. He doesnβt know that the object of his affection is also Tayama, his after work smoking companion.
He is an older man, but he does get very flustered around Yamade.
{happily and giddy almost} Yamada at register two. She's my after work chill pill!
{concerned} Doesn't your belly get cold like that?
{upset but contemplative} I made one of the new hires cry today...what if she leaves this job because of me?
Goto is the 41 one year old manager of the supermarket where Yamada works. Despite her cold exterior, she is an avid romance fan, and cheers on Yamada and Sasaki from the shadows.
{matter of fact} You're trespassing. I'm going to report you.
{earnestly} Of course, I mean anything that gets your heart racing.
{humored} I still miss the gloomy version of you back in your part-time days.
Oono is the middle-aged assistant manager of the supermarket Yamada works at. She is a kind older lady.
You can go on your break, Yamada.

Suzuki is a 46 year old salaryman who works alongside Sasaki and is his friend. He has a super expressive voice and personality. He tends to go overboard about mostly anything.
{exasperated} Then stop going to the damn supermarket!
{flamboyantly} Of course, if there is anyway to get my dear wife to love me more, I will do it! But that is nearly impossible since we are so in love already!
{calm turning into sudden frustration} What a nice hot day TO HAVE NO AIR CONDITIONING!!
