Smitty's Super Service Show
Project Overview
This is a fan 2d animated show for the rockafire explosion band, we are a passionate team who hopes to bring together the community and showcase our appriciation for art. The show is centered around the main crew of the rockafire explosion, those being Fatz Geronimo, Billy Bob, Beach Bear, Dook Larue, Mitzi Mozzarella, Rolfe Dewolfe, Looney Bird, and Earl Schmerle. The first episode follows the plot on how the band met, came together, and how they found each of the members. Starting in the service station where the band finishes off an exausting performance, to going through various places such as New Orleans, the Beaches of Florida, Kmart and more. The animation and art style is inspired by classic, 60s-80s cartoons, heavily by the early Hanna Barbera cartoons. We use discord as our main form of communication but are also available on instagram, and Gmail.
None of the characters are ours, all rights go to Creative Engineering.

Animator
will be able provide us with rough animation, creating core movements, timing, and expressive poses of characters in unpolished, loose sketches. Must be able to draw strong foundations, and deliver roughs that clean up artists can easily interpret and finalize.

Will help design the setting and backgrounds for the scenes, such as (but not limited to) The service station, a grocery store, the beach, or houses. Should be able to draw expressive and cartooney designs that fit with the characters.

Will animate the movements in the background such as trees, the sky, entire screen movements, as well as characters that are not front and focused.

Is able to clean up and smoothen the rough animation, drawing final and neat lines over the rough animation, fixing errors, and keeping styles while making everything flow smoothly. Must have a good eye, a steady hand, be efficiant, and understand the show rules and artstyle.

Will be able to digitally apply color to all the animation, following the color palette. This includes the foreground as well as the background. Should be able to shade and add depth.

Can help with all parts of animation, touching up minor errors, make suggestions, and overall help the process go smoothly.

must be able to translate the written script and character designs into sequential panels, acting as the the structural blueprint. Must be able to visualize shots, clearly stage characters, break down the script, have solid understanding of perspective, composition and editing flow.
