Project Overview

What Is Skystone?

Skystone Network is a project working to create many unique and original scripted Minecraft series/movies on YouTube based off of DC Comics. Our original storylines will be posted on YouTube, using the comics as a basis for our stories.

This casting call has been put out as recasting for a project posted a few months ago. We've had a few voice actors leave and needed to replace them in our series.

This specific project is for season 1 of our Superman series. The Series will be posted on youtube episode by episode. We are looking for voice actors, editors, and composers for upcoming content and series in our expansive D.C. Universe. Below is a list of our roles that you can apply for.   • New character added!

    Hey everyone! Thank you for all the support from everyone who has auditioned so far. We appreciate all of you and have had lots of fun going through the auditions. We've had a last minute cancellation from our voice actor who voiced Maxwell Lord. This character is now open for anyone to audition for. We encourage everyone who wants to to give this new role a try. Hopefully this is the last update we'll have to post. We do not plan on needing to add any more characters. Again, thank you all for auditioning!

    Hey everyone! Thank you to everyone who has auditioned so far. We've come across lots of great voice actors and have enjoyed meeting our new cast members. We have added three new roles that you guys can now apply for. Perry White, Lobo, and Non. Our voice actor for these characters has left so the roles have now become open. We encourage everyone who wants to to give these new roles a try. On another note, we've also added a Clark Kent line under the Superman role as a third line to add to your auditions if you're applying for this character. Maxwell Lord is a corrupt Business man.  He is the CEO of Lord Technologies. Maxwell can be depicted as corrupt as he will do anything to achieve money and power.  On the other hand he cares that his planet and city is protected and in good hands. He is very intelligent but skeptical of many things.  Maxwell originally has good public image but often his actions and what he does with his company is put into question. He is well known in the comics for helping start off the Justice League. 

In Skystone Network's Series, Maxwell will resemble exactly that. He isn't the most trust worthy man and is definitely hiding something.  He has many rivalries with people including Lex Luthor and Ted Kord. His voice should sound confident, cynical, condescending, and empowering. 

  • Like you said, I’m a businessman, so let's talk business. Everyone has an agenda... you seem to need my money, as I need your expertise. I will continue funding, enough for you to get back on your feet, but only if you hold up your end! Do we have a deal?

  • I’m not funding you to give your opinion! That ‘Artifact’ is worth more than your pathetic research! If it’s not activated in time, then I’m cutting off all funding!

Perry White is the chief editor at the Daily Planet, and Clark Kent's boss. He is usually portrayed as a very rational person, but sometimes his boss-like personality can get the best of his judgement. He is a very honest man with integrity and always looks out for his employees.

His voice should sound confident,  cynical, and demanding, but also caring and honest.

  • I want the top story on this Super-Hero pronto! This guy’s been the headline for everything, The Daily Planet will be the first to figure out who this guy is, and catch him in action!

  • That’s Mr. White to you Clark, it’s already noon! And you better not be late again, or you’ll be sorry. Olsen, fill him in, this is my lunch break now.

  • That's an order, Ms. Lane. Maxwell Lord is a rightful stockholder of this company. He doesn’t need the bad press... we don’t need the bad press. You’re going deep into something you don’t understand, it's best you drop this story, before things get worse.

Lobo is a galactic bounty hunter from the planet Czarnia with exceptional strength and fortitude.  He has a short temper and enjoys mindless violence.  He is very arrogant and self-centered, and believes he is the strongest man in the universe. As a bounty hunter, he takes on deals from different aliens, promising results. He is often portrayed as an anti-hero who always gets the job done.  He can't resist a good deal. He is ruthless as he single-handedly destroyed his entire race.

Lobo's voice should sound very patriarchal, raspy, intimidating, and egotistical. 

  • You will be quite the prize for Lobo. Not even a man of steel can face The Main Man!

  • What are you sayin egg face? I’m not gonna capture myself for you, so good luck getting me, now my payment, or The Main man will have himself his own alien zoo, and you’ll be the main attraction!

  • You heroes really don’t get it! No fraggin’ cell is gonna hold Lobo!

J'onn J'onzz/The Martian Manhunter

J'onn J'onzz, or The Martian Manhunter, is a green martian from the planet Mars. His planet was plagued by a civil war between the green martians and white martians, which caused him to move to his sister planet, Earth. J'onn J'onzz is a very heroic and reasonable person. He has a good heart and is very peaceful. Because he is a Martian, he has vast powers ranging from flight, super strength, laser vision, morphing and telekinesis. 

His voice should sound calm, deep, monotone, and clear. 

  • My name is J’onn J’onzz, during the ongoing civil war between the white and green martians, I was brought here against my consent, in fear that the whites may eliminate the greens all together. I cannot use any of my traits, the fire here hinders my phasing, mutation, telepathy, and much more. I am, trapped.

  • Kryptonian, I cannot thank you enough for your efforts, I hope to visit Earth one day, and repay your world for the deeds you’ve done for mine. Thanks to you I may return to Mars and help my friends and family in the ongoing war.

Non was a very close friend to Jor El, better friends than Zod was. Jor El and Non were the ones to notice Krypton was dying. Non ending up allying himself among Ursa and Zod after they realized the planet was truly dying. But their activist ways caused the Krypton Science Guild to attempt to purge them for their crimes, instead they were put into The Phantom Zone so their lives may prolong by Jor El. 

Non is arrogant and strong, his personality is much like Zod, he is intelligent and empowering. His voice should reflect that, being masculine and demanding, yet a little bit sympathetic for Superman.

  • Kal El, yield, you are not ready for what is coming! Pay the debts your father owes to Krypton, show Zod your loyalty, or I will leave you no choice, brother.

  • You think you are a hero? You think you are honoring your father and planet's name? You stand above these humans like a god! You should be ruling over them, your father was my friend! You can only honor his name by reviving Krypton's legacy!

  • We were not the bad guys! We were trying to save Krypton, we were heroes, you should be standing with us not against us!

Superman, or Clark Kent, is the main protagonist of the story. Clark Kent, real name Kal-El, is from a planet called Krypton. His home was destroyed and he was sent to Earth as a baby. Earth's yellow sun grants him his Superpowers. In this is story, Clark Kent is struggling to balance his superpowers and fit in, he takes a job as a reporter, but the world is changing, and Earth needs his help. He becomes a superhero under the name of Superman, and protects his city Metropolis from extraterrestrial and super-powered foes.

Clark Kent is his alter ego. he tries to be nerdy and awkward to seem like a normal human. The voice for Clark Kent should be slightly different than the voice for Superman

Superman is a brave, powerful, and kind superhero. His voice should sound more confident and hopeful than Clark Kent's.

  • Superman: My real name is Kal-El, I’m an alien from a planet called Krypton. My Planet exploded and my parents sent me here when I was only a few years old. The solar radiation from Earth's yellow sun allows me to have these powers.

  • Superman: Its okay, I’m not here to hurt you, I’m here to help. How did this happen to you?

  • Clark Kent: I-uh-I mean what if this guy doesn’t want to be bothered? M-maybe we shouldn’t go after him Lois.

Jimmy Olsen is a good friend of both Lois Lane and Clark Kent. He works for the Daily Planet as a cameraman for Lois Lane when she is reporting. In the comics he is depicted as having advanced skills in photography and videography. He is often portrayed as a light-hearted, enthusiastic,naive, passionate, adventure-seeking friend who is obsessed with Superman, but is also his best pal. Like Lois, Jimmy always finds himself in danger as he always tries to get the best pictures. In our series, we take an adaptation of this into his personality.

Jimmy Olsen's voice should sound nerdy, enthusiastic, friendly, and light-hearted.

  • This sounds amazing. My two best friends and I, going on an adventure into a secret lab. I’ll bring my Camera, think of all the crazy shots I could get!

  • I knew we could count on Superman! I told you Lois, he is a hero, we can trust him.


  • We saw him ourselves, Lois, we saw Superman with our own eyes, we saw him save the city and not ask for anything in return. That is the pure definition of a selfless hero. What more proof do you need?

Ted Kord is honorable wealthy business man, he is the CEO of Kord Industries, which is famous for its technological advances. Ted is eccentric but honest, he likes to brag about his accomplishes and his work but in a charming way. Ted cares about Metropolis and uses his company to help it as best he can.

In the comics that is not the only way Ted gives back to the world. He is known as the second Blue Beetle, his teacher, Dan Garret, was the first to bare an advanced alien technology Scarab , that gave him powers similar to a high-tech robot, and take on the name The Blue Beetle, and yield its powers to help his city. This is the same Scarab famous for giving the well known Jamie Reyes ( the third Blue Beetle) his powers as the Blue Beetle in the comics. Currently Jamie is the most popular and well known Blue Beetle in the comics. Ted Kord never actually got the Scarab to work, so he honored his dead teacher's name as the Blue Beetle by using his tech and his intelligence to fight crime without super powers.

In Skystone Network''s series, Ted Kord will be closely adapted to his comic counterpart and later will become The Blue Beetle. Ted becomes friends with Clark, and his friends and helps them by using his company's resources. Ted's voice should sound masculine, confident, and eccentric.

  • My company was built upon trust and virtue, a man like Maxwell Lord should not be allowed to succeed as much as we are by cheating.

  • Let’s just say I used some of Kord Industries many assets. Look over this USB drive, you decide for yourself if it’s real or not.

  • You need to stay away from Superman, I know what you’re doing, I know what kind of person you are.

Jim Harper is the captain of the Metropolis Police Department. He is often portrayed as a hero named The Guardian, who patrols Suicide Slum, the poorest neighborhood in Metropolis, and fights crime, helping those who need it.  He is a very honest, kind and determined person, and in our series he becomes a close friend of Superman.

His voice should sound very average, but confident.

  • Ok, but stay alert, stay behind us, and don’t get in our way.

  • The Future?! You call this the future!? This is mad! This-this...this isn’t right, this isn’t humane at all! Whatever ‘Cadmus is’, whatever all of this is, it needs to stop!

  • Alright boys, this is an investigation. I don’t expect anything to go off the rails so no need for guns… yet.

John starts off as a new recruit during Lois, Jimmy. and Clark's employment at The Daily Planet. John is a journalist, and isn't too fond of Clark Kent, in the comics he was jealous of his relationship with Lois and attempted to steal Lois from Clark. He is cocky and hot headed, but nonetheless clever and sly. He is known for getting into trouble, and getting himself in over his head on his journalism, often risking his life and the law to get a good story. Later on, he is very well known for becoming the super-villain, Metallo, a robot for-hire who harnesses the power of Kryptonite to damage Superman.

In our series John is new to the Daily planet, right away he's already getting the Daily Planet 'team' into trouble. He is self centered, egotistical, yet charming and intelligent. Jack's voice should sound confident, cocky, and hot headed. It should be a deep voice, and the Metallo voice should be the same voice, but robotic. 

  • John: Fine, but I don't understand how I'm going to work with you if I don’t even know what’s going on around here. 

  • John: Maxwell Lord? Now that's a fancy name for a powerful man. What business could you three possible have with an important man like him?

  • Metallo: (make this voice robotic) Oh, yes. I know who you are. Lois Lane and Clark Kent. Crusading writers for the Daily Planet. Well, you've both lucked into the ultimate story, this time. The story of Metallo! The man who's gonna kill Superman!

Bruno Mannheim is one of Metropolis's most powerful gangsters. In the comics, he is most famous being part of the Intergang. His one and only goal is take over Metropolis and control all of its assets. In our story, the recent influx of super-powered individuals, meta-humans, and aliens puts a twist on this characters involvement with Metropolis.

His voice can be interpreted in different ways, but it should generally sound like the northern United States (New York City or surrounding areas), raspy, and gangster-like. 

  • This city ain’t the same no more, All these meta-human-alien freaks, the boys in blue got no idea what to do! How about we show Metropolis who’s in charge of this city! Who’s with me!?

  • I’m the don here, and looks to me like I got the most fire power. Any more opposes? … Didn’t think so. Now, let’s take back our city!
