Silent Hill: Restless Dreams Radio Drama
Project Overview
This is an idea that's been in my head since I recently played Silent Hill 2, for like the millionth time. Nothing major has been made based on Silent Hill 2 since the botched HD Collection that came out in 2012. This (obviously) will be based on Silent Hill 2, a horror game from the Silent Hill series and developed by Konami. I am so excited to get this project started and hope to work with some amazing people soon.

James Sunderland is a man in his mid 30's, looking for his wife Mary in the town of Silent Hill. The catch is that she's been dead for three years, but after receiving a letter in the mail from her, asking him to find her in Silent Hill, he decides to look for her. While in Silent Hill, he questions his sanity, morality, and personality.
I got a letter. The name on the envelope said "Mary". My wife's name... It's ridiculous, couldn't possibly be true... That's what I keep telling myself... A dead person can't write a letter. Mary died of that damned disease three years ago.
(To Laura) Hey! It was you, wasn't it? You're the one who stomped on my hand.
(To Mary) M-Mary, please forgive me. I just couldn't watch you suffer anymore... No, that's not true. You also told me that you didn't want to die... The truth is, I hated you. I just wanted my life back.
Mary is James' late-wife and died of a deadly illness(?) She loved the town of Silent Hill and wanted to return badly. While in the hospital, she met Laura (see description of Laura) and the two became best friends. Maria is a woman in her mid-30's (just like Mary) and looks just like her. Differences being, how her voice is slightly deeper, how she dresses, and how her hair is styled. She used to work at Haven's Night (a night club) as a dancer. For this specific project, I'd like it if the voice actress playing these parts could sing "Waiting for You" from Silent Hill 4. The song is in the alto range and needs a strong belt.
(As Mary) In my restless dreams, I see that town. Silent Hill. You promised you'd take me there again someday, but you never did. Well I'm alone there now... In out special place... Waiting for you
(As Maria, meeting James for the first time) Do I look like your girlfriend? My name is Maria. I don't look like a ghost do I? See... (Holds James' hand) Feel how warm I am.
(As Maria, pissed) "Anyway"? What do you mean "Anyway"?! You don't seem very happy to see me. I was almost killed back there! Why didn't you try to save me?!
Angela is a seventeen year old teenage who's on the run after murdering her father and older brother, who sexually abused her all her life. Angela is an introverted character who always seems a little off no matter what. She stutters a lot and usually apologizes a lot .
(To James) I'm looking for my momma... I... I... mean my mother. It's been so long since I've seen her. I thought my father and brother were here but... I can't find them anywhere. I'm sorry... it's not your problem.
(To James, pissed) So what do you want then? Oh, I see... You're trying to be nice to me, right? I know what you're up to! It's always the same! You're only after ONE THING! (When told that that's not true, slowly growing more and more sad) You don't have to lie! Go ahead and say it! Or you could just force me. Beat me up like... he... he always did. You only care about yourself, anyway! You disgusting pig! (Crying)
(Mistaking James as her mother) Momma! Momma, I was looking for you! You're the only one left! Maybe then... maybe then I can rest. Momma... why are you running away? (Realises that it's James) ...You're not my Momma! It's... it's you! I... I'm sorry...
Eddie is an insecure, mentally disturbed and severely bullied college student. He's been picked on his whole life and has become extremely body conscience. He like Angela, is also on the run and hiding in Silent Hill.
(Vomiting sounds. He stops and notices James) I didn't do it... I swear I didn't kill anybody.
(To James) Killing a person a'int no big deal... Just put the gun to their head, and pow... I-I was just kidding James.
(To James, pissed) What does it look like? He always busted my balls. 'You fat, disgusting piece of shit! You make me sick!'. 'Fat-ass, yer nothin' but a waste of skin!'. 'You're so ugly, even your mama don't love you!'. Well, maybe he was right. Maybe I am nothing but a fat, disgusting piece of shit! But you know what? It doesn't matter if you're smart, dumb, ugly, pretty... IT'S ALL THE SAME ONCE YOU'RE DEAD! And a corpse can't laugh. From now on, if anyone makes fun of me, I'LL KILL 'EM! Just like that!
Laura is an eight year old child, who's in Silent Hill also looking for Mary. She ran away from the hospital/orphanage she was staying at to get there. Laura is the only character who doesn't see any of the monsters, seeing as she's so innocent and doesn't have any inner demons. She's bratty and rude to James at first, but over the story she slowly begins to like him more.
(To James when asked if she stepped on his hand, chuckling) I dunno, maybe I did. (When asked what she's doing there) Are you blind? (Asked about the letter in her hand) None of your business. You didn't love Mary anyways!
(To Eddie) So what'd you do? Robbery? Murder? (When given answer) Ha! You're just a gutless fatso! (Eddie whines) I thought you said the cops were after you. (Explains that he ran away) But if you did something bad, why don't you say you were sorry? Well... I guess I run away a lot too.
(To James) So there you are, James. Did you get the letter? Did you find Mary? If not, let's get going already. (When told she's dead) Liar! That's a lie! (When told that it's the truth) She... she died 'cause she was sick? (When told real reason why she died) Y-you killer! Why'd you do it?! I want her back! Give her back to me! I hate you, James! I hate you! I hate you! I hate you!
(To James) I'm very sorry. (James freaks out) Please, calm down. As her doctor, I promise I'll do what I can. But... there's still no effective treatment for her condition. (When asked how long Mary has) I'm afraid I'm not sure. 3 years at most... Perhaps six months... It's impossible to say with certainty.
