Project Overview
Shroom: The Magic Mushroom is an indie animation focused around a fantasy western mushroom aesthetic. It takes place in the small town of Maco moments after the protagonist Shroom wakes up. The story focuses around Shroom going on adventures and meeting new mushrooms while uncovering the menaces who are trying to harm the town.

Cig is the second major character next to Shroom. She is low energy but sometimes has a spark. Think of Vex from League of Legends but not depressed. She is also very much a tomboy.

The newcomer sighed. “Fine. But I’m counting this as my overtime.”
“You know… I think I see it now.”
Morrell is the bartender for 'The Wandering Shroom'. He makes the best mushroom juice in town. He is very warm and kind but that is also his greatest flaw. He acts as the adopted father of Shroom and Cig.

“You poisoned my supply?” he asked, stunned. “Why?”
First main antagonist Shroom finds. D.A. is a larger than life charismatic but threatening business mushroom who also tried to poison Morrell. He has a deep voice with a Louisiana accent.

“But here’s the deal,” he said, now menacing. “You wanna pay me back? Help me out in the kitchen. Test the secret ingredient with my juice. Easy enough. After that, you’ll be in the biz. I’ll get you a big welcome to the industry!”
“Fail to repay me…” He paused, narrowing his eyes. “You’ll never be welcome here again.”
