alright... lets try this one more time.
hi. my name is DarcyZFoxx, also formerly known as ScarletZFrost, Dartboi, etc.
i have always been infatuated with creating. i love writing, i love drawing, i love listening to music and talking to people about my or their characters. ive been trying to make Shockwave ever since i was a kid. it started as just me doodling in my school's notebooks and slowly i started to get more into drawing seriously.
i was inspired by so much over this past decade. sonic, fnaf, undertale, deltarune, skylanders, digimon, creepypastas, hell even hazbin hotel and helluva boss when they were just pilots. but my biggest inspiration was... edgy amvs and archie sonic lol
i want to make shockwave a webcomic. one that has the flare of those old newgrounds flash animations and kinda just... live through that era i couldnt... really experience as a child. i really really want to build up a community from this series but... i know i cant... do that alone. i need people to help draw the comic, voice the characters when i inevitably dub it over for a wider audience to see. i mean whats a more 2010s format of storytelling than comic dubs?
ive tried to bring this story to life countless times before, hell ive even used this site to do just that multiple times. but this time... feels final in a way. i dont see myself changing anything character design related after this.

Nehken is the main character. heavily inspired by sonic and shadow the hedgehog, among other characters like ichigo, jeff the killer, so on and so forth.
he is infamously known across avaxis as "the grin reaper" for being a highly experienced contractor working for the katsube clan. he is the leader of a group called "The Shockwave." his eyes are red, a very... controversial thing on avaxis.
he is very caring for others, has a bit of an ego, always trash talks when he gets the chance, and underneath all his bravado is a broken husk of a man that just wants validation.
his voice is bold, cocky, not nearly as high as sonic, but not super deep either. hes very energetic but also has his times of... being tired of everything.
(note; if there is an asterisk next to a character's name, that means the character already has had a pre-established VA, i am merely putting the whole cast here just so anyone has a chance at everyone!)

this peppy little fox gal is the newest and youngest member of the shockwave. shes competent but not all close to the level the others are.
she is very clumsy at times, but also is very caring of the rest of the group, even to some that dont exactly reciprocate the same amount of care to her. she is about as chaotic as the blue fire she wields.
shes very energetic, having a slightly high pitched voice, imagine a young adult that still acts like a child at times. i dont exactly have a distinct voice in mind.

Shrai is the brains of the Shockwave, the brain that Nehken seems to lack most of the time. just because he's blind doesnt mean hes incapable of easy navigation, he finds his way around things. he has configured his headpiece to have echolocation.
shrai in general is a very... evasive person. you dont see him around much outside of work, and even when you do hes mostly training his reflexes to dodge literally everything... im not joking he has practically wired his brain dodge even rain. there is a lot to unpack with this cyborg chameleon.
his voice is somewhat deep, very no nonsense, sometimes even blunt. he doesnt flavor his words, he speaks. hes a very logical person... until he isnt but i digress.

Davanak is the oldest member of the shockwave... and by extension the oldest member of the clan, period. he has existed for centuries. he is a demonic spirit that only works for the clan because one of the former leaders tricked him into a contract that states he has to devote the rest of his existence to working for the clan.
hes about as soaked about it as you'd think. he finds most avaxians to be lesser primitive beings, seeing the shockwave as a bunch of children has to begrudgingly babysit. couple that with the fact nobody takes him seriously.
still, he makes the most of his predicament, being a mischievous yokai that likes to traumatize children and steal their candy, not because it tastes good, nah, he just does for the love of the game.
his voice is gremlin like, raspy, but can also go deep into lower registers if he wants to be threatening. take some notes from hades from disney's Hercules. how? idk.

kari is the last character in what i like to call the "Core five." she's not exactly part of the shockwave, but she is nehken's sister. she is practically the shadow to nehken's sonic. she's very aggressive, prideful sometimes, very distant from her sibling too. the two still banter of course, it just has a bit more... bite than the other people he banters with.
her voice is very elegant to put it simply. i would want her to maybe have a british accent but that's not a necessity, just capturing her cold demeanor is enough.

the current leader of the Katsube clan. a caring woman with an affinity of keeping the lower class safe while her once adoptive father has fun up in the sky with the high class. she is very compassionate towards any and everyone, even having medical knowledge.
she can be a little goofy though, she doesnt really take most if anything seriously unless absolutely necessary. she is also heavily obsessed with nehken... in a romantic sense. unhealthily.
her voice is calm, collective, but can be silly and cutesy at times too. her creator said her voice claim would be android 21 from dragonball fighterz.

this thing is incoherent, slaps people, and overall, is useless. hes just here to be lol random humor. flombom is a "sploot" a creature on avaxis that is just... random creatures that look like childrens drawings.
i have an idea on what he sounds like... i just cant put it into words. like- try to do an old man impression but push it out of your lungs???? like some sort of old muscle man??? i dont know just do whatever you think fits. its fucking flombomskibidoo.

Cross is the lead enforcer of the highlands authorities. he is very entitled to his role, going on and on about the law and how highlanders are so much more well behaved than groundrealmers.
he is the leader of a group called the "Black Suns." he is very devoted to upholding the headmaster's ideals and keeping "order"
his voice is very... hard to say. its detective-like i'd say. hes calmed and collective save for times when he devolves into something manic under pressure.
his laugh is a mix of a cat purring that transitions into a laugh.

Silva is the second member of the Black Suns, and fronika's sister. this vixen sees everyone around her as tools to utilize, seeing connection as irrelevant or impractical since thats how she was raised.
she still has feelings, they're just... heavily repressed. she is one hell of an actor though, being able to easily act out any emotion to get what she wants from a person.
shes cold, calculated, etc. her character description i think sums up how she'd sound.

the tech expert of the black suns. a former member of the katsube clan that was mocked and bullied for being short and incompetent, finds solace within the black suns to enact his revenge on all who called him worthless.
he is super tech savy, and knows his way around a lot of the clan's tech since he tried his best to become one katsube's generals only to be rejected. he is constantly trying to prove his worth to his peers even now.
he has a brooklyn accent and is heavily inspired by eggman's voice in the snapcube sonic fandubs.

he is the black suns's muscle. now tropes say that he'd be a meathead... but hes actually one of the most intelligent of the group...emotionally at least. he is still nowhere close to the technical prowess the small one is at.
hes very deep voiced, intimidating, but he does have a soft side to him.

he has always seen himself as this cool third sibling to the two wolves, despite not going through nearly as rough a life as either.
he as tried desperately to earn their approval but only gets disgraced every chance he gets. he tries to prove hes worthy of being their equal, but hes always called weak.
that led him to learn one of the most unstable forms of elemental magic, eclipse energy. he would join the black suns as their wildcard.
his voice is very aggressive, not really having any accent despite his inspiration being mostly depicted with a brooklyn accent. try to capture his insecurities through the way he speaks.

a very... unique creature. he seems mechanical but... has no creator. he is an unstable vessel of chaos and calamity. he doesnt speak much, but when he does it makes sure its pressense is known.
glariex's voice would be very mechanical sounding but also in a way where its tempo is always changing. imagine if a video buffers visually, then it catches up with itself by speeding the video up until it reaches the correct frame. something like that. stutters a lot

bebek is a very eccentric clown rabbit. his stretchy limbs make him almost... unsettling to look at, like an overly realistic cartoon given life. he acts like hes in a cartoon, where his antics dont exactly need to make sense.
his voice is bouncy, somewhat high pitched, very clown-like. always speaks in the third person.

his voice is that of a radio host's. bravado seeping through every syllable that comes from his wooden mouth. he does also have a very creepy side to him, wanting nothing more than to see his actors squirm under his abhorrent scripts.

it is very interested in how the mind works, specifically has an obsession with fear and how others react to stimuli that causes the emotion. it doesn't have empathy for anyone so its like- purely logical like a machine despite not being mechanical... nor organic. its bendalu it doesnt make sense and thats the point
its voice is... also very inconsistent. imagine a ransom note in the form a voice. like chopped up audio spliced together like an unnerving youtube poop.

his voice is raspy, hissy, breathy, takes pauses to breathe like his longs are actively giving out. if he ever laughs he would start to cough violently but still for some reason keep laughing through it.... sound chilling when you think about it.

he tries to prove his worth to a king who long since died and isn't a ghost like he is.

okay taking a break from the shrine key stuff. heres a character thats more of a companion character for a while. flames is a tired old barista that runs a coffee shop called the "DEAD-END." he is mostly known for being passive aggressive, dismissive, and overall kind of a jerk to most his customers.
he does hold a lot of power, despite only having basic energy manipulation. he does care for people, but its only in certain cases. dispite his dislike of social interactions, he still runs the cafe for some reason. got to respect the dedication at least.
his creator told me his voice would be dry and sour. make him sound tired. bonus points if you can speak Spanish, i wouldn't say he has a Spanish accent but he might end up having a few Spanish lines here or there.

he doesnt exactly have a personality, nor does he exactly have a way of speaking. its kind of just random groans and screaming.

his voice was stated to be kinda like rocko from rocko's modern life by his creator.

this bat-dragon hybrid that didnt inherit wings from either winged race is quite the person. he's very down to business, somewhat entitled to his role as one of sakura's ninetail generals, and overall has a very unique skillset.
his "Reference technique" allows him to copy any ability from any other avaxian simply by touching them.
his voice is rather mid deep range, nothing too special.

Reyth is yet another one of the ninetail generals, not all of the generals will be story relevent, only like- anywhere from two to four?
reyth is a genetically modified plant creature, basically a living tree. he sees sakura as his mother... he can't see too well. he can see perfectly in a sense he knows where hes going, but when it comes to remembering faces... hes practically blind.
he is a very caring and intelligent creature... that is until he gets hurt. if something causes him severe pain like something stabbing him or slashing him... he goes into a frenzy. his dialect reverts to that of a toddler who only knows how to repeat a single phrase. it takes him about anywhere from ten minutes to an hour to calm down once in this state.
other than that he's just sakura's big fluffy pet tree.
his voice has clicking within it, but is in the mid to high range, + a slight rasp to it. he's also able to purr. not really relevant to his voice but like- just thought it was cute to mention.

heaven is a tomboyish little lassie, a hybrid of a hedgehog and a cat, with some dark past relating to her father she doesnt usually get into since she's always so happy and energetic. shes one one of the few people to match fronika's energy.
she could also be a ninetail general, but thats still a little up in the air thanks to her age. would definitely be the youngest if so.
her voice is energetic, peppy and overall kinda cutesy, nothing over the top though.

blade is yet another one of katsube's generals, but is more focused on being a teacher for his school all about teaching youth how to control their elemental abilities. he is also a veteran from a series of tournaments called the "Flashback tourneys" (real subtle with the references aren't we?)
also as for the voice i have what their original creator said his voice would be
"Blade has a subdued baritone voice, calm and inquisitive, smooth like glass. though he can also speak with great authority, cutting through a crowd, when needed. his meter of speech remains very constant, doesn't speed up or slow down based on emotion. Roy mustangs from FMA's va springs to mind for the timbre of voice, but the delivery would be pretty different, more like the calmness of jin from samurai champloo"

blue is basically blade's rival. he has a bit of an obsession with him, basically revolving around his entire worldview and all that but i'm gonna save that for the actual series itself to explore and not this little description on casting call.
the basic information is that he used to be a shrine key guardian, only for his obsession with his brother (in arms) to have that role to be revoked. he is very aggressive and kinda psychotic... okay really psychotic.

"blue is haughty, has more of a dark tenor with rough edges to it, but not raspy. more like if he yelled a lot rather than like a smokers voice. taunting and full of bravado, but with the ability to drop into a lower register for delivering serious threats, or talking to someone who he "knows" has seen through his facade. in those times he eschews the bravado and haughtiness for a more intimidating tone and a wicked smile to show he intends to keep any promise of violence he makes. maybe a bit like a cross of bakugo from mha, and zuko from avatar."

another companion character, Karami is the protector of a small mountain village that ends up helping the group begrudgingly for a while. he is very devoted to his duty as a guardian and takes his role very seriously. he was chosen by storm godess Susanoo herself, right? thats what the scar is from.
the raiju is very no nonsense, a deep growl under his voice to intimidate with a tone of a commander at war. perfect material for a ninetail general... he might be one of them probably.
