Project Overview

How did this project come into existence? 

Back in November of 2016, I came up with an idea to make a project for a community I liked. It had characters based on the people I had met in the community. However, over the last 2 years and 3 months, the project has changed drastically, and now is not like my original idea. Instead, I have worked as hard as possible to make it what I now want it to be: A great RPG game that people can enjoy.

What IS Shards Of Perihelion about?

After the Catalyst Comet smashes, and a darkness having lurked for millenia is released, its up to Retzie and Gen, a former mercenary and a freedom fighter to gather their teams, uncover the truth behind the chaos caused by the gods, the war that was caused between the Rebellion and Solace, and end the conflict once and for all.

What do I need to know about the project?

First off, I will be handling auditions for VAs and tasks for all other roles after the deadline. I'm still in school as of right now, and as such, I'm extremely busy 9-5. When the deadline is over, I will have a few days where I can sort out roles and other such things.

Secondly, this project is primarily a revshare project. Due to a current lack of proper funding, this project cannot afford to pay each voice actor until the project is released and we receive revenue for that.

Finally, this project is made using RPG Maker MV, and will not rely on any stock assets. using original assets, music, everything basically. I wish to make a project people can enjoy, and I need your help to do that.

What do I do for my roles?

Artists: I have a few tasks for artists, to be specific, roles such as Character Design, Full Body Art, Promo Art, etc.
Musicians: I will hand out tasks when necessary, normally saying what I want the song to sound like, as well as providing a reference.

Writers: Help to write side interactions, events, and to check over my work on the main story lines. 

Voice Actors: As a voice actor, you may have to choose 2 roles at least, with maybe a few minor roles that are for NPCs or minor characters.

  • I pushed back the deadline 2 days.

    I won't be free until this time, so it's best I push it back to the weekend, where i'll be free to assign tasks and cast people.

Most of Retzie’s actions are driven by a sense of justice, and as such, he takes leadership of his team very seriously. He’s lived in Marin Village for years after working as a mercenary, and as such, while he may be calm on the exterior now, he is a trained warrior who still has a cold side.

Calm, with a middling voice. Not too low pitched but not too high pitched.

Alpha is an 19 year old boy with a strange set of cat ears. He has had these since birth as a sort of deformation. Alpha is normally kind but can easily get angry when provoked. His voice has a slight deep tone to it. He met Retzie in person for the first time after travelling to Marin Village, chasing the Catalyst Comet. He can be quite joking, and even with his short temper, tends to not take things too seriously.

Syane is a demon, and is also quite in-syane. I mean, Insane. yeah, that. He can be insane at times, but only when he's coming up with something amazing. Syane is honestly very optimistic, and is in love with Karanaia. He's very silly at times, and has a bit of a light voice.

Despite being a demon, his voice isn't always chaotic. He can be quite caring, and it is reflected in his normal voice (sample lines 1 and 3). However, when insane, his demeanor twists into a foul one (line 2).


Notes: His name is pronounced Shay-ne. Karanaia is pronounced car-a-nai-ah

Sorrow is the split self of Hanbo, made to contain all her negative emotions after Hanbo could not get over the sins she committed. She lacks emotions, and resides in the World Of Sorrow. After being freed by the main characters, she slowly begins to open up and experience emotions, aswell as the world around her.
