Project Overview
In the quiet little town of Willowbrook, misery isn’t just an emotion-it’s a way of life. The streets feel heavy, the people looked drained, and joy is nothing more than a rumor. No one questions it anymore. No one… except four middle schoolers who refuse to accept the gloom as “normal.”

Kat is a stubborn character and she makes it her mission to prove that something is very wrong within the town. Kat loves to research, explore, test limits, and prove that she is right. She has a hard time admitting when she is wrong and it takes a lot to get her to do so.

Blaire is soft spoken, in the story she is the first person to agree with Kat that there is something wrong. She is very inquisitive, introverted, and cautious. She tends to stick to herself and will read alone.

He is aggressive and gets into a lot of fights at school. The kids always knew when Toby was around because the air would suddenly shift. He is very protective of his people and doesn’t tend to go outside of that. He seems to be comfortable with the way things are in the town but because he is in love with Kat he decides to join the crew.

he is very relaxed and isn't a believer that something is wrong just like his twin brother and he is the last person in the crew to agree that something needs to be done. He is not one to over stress about anything he doesn't like to think very much. He just wants things to go easy and he believes that the way things are now are easy.

Mr. Cherrywood is Susanna's husband and he is very detail oriented; he always loves a research project no matter how far-fetched it seems. Depending on the situation he'll even give extra material that is typically restricted by the town because he realizes how serious the person is working.
Mr.Cherrywood is a librarian.

Mrs Cherrywood is a very supportive teacher and in the story she doesn't understand where Kat is coming from but realizes that it must be important for some reason whether it be true or not. She encourages all of her students to push forward no matter what is going on and will always be willing to give the extra help that they will need.

Silas is Kat's older brother, she is very rough on the edges and tends to act out but when it comes to his younger sister he takes her very seriously and wants to protect her from everyone including their parents. Even though he doesn't believe in what his sister is talking about he promises to look out for the crew because of their safety.

Even though Riko's parents are very friendly and all for helping people he is not, he is very bratty and on occasion can get very physically aggressive. He loves to push Toby's buttons because he knows how temperamental Toby is.

Ellie is very obsessive over Mylo, and will be willing to do anything for him no matter what it is or if she believes in a situation. She is easily manipulated by people because she loves to please people and serve them.

She seems like she doesn't want to be doing her job and is very overworked. Even though she has grudges with her job she does it very thoroughly and ensures each student is well before they either go home or head back to class and everything that she has to do is documented.

The mayor is very secretive and does his best to do damage control within his town and to get people off of his back he puts on shows and things so then everyone thinks things are normal and that nothing is going on at all once the kids start to get in the way and look into things he becomes slowly more and more aggressive.

Verya is the mayor's adoptive daughter and while she was an organ she was treated horribly which started to cause some very severe trust issues and once she was adopted by the mayor a lot of people wanted to get close to her to hopefully get on the mayor's good side and she never felt for it and started to question every single person she had in an interaction and because of this her attitude is very sour and aggressive

As a child Father Kaelus was raised in a very religious household and one day he got into an explosion which altered part of his brain and now he lives in extreme paranoia and is very easily impressionable which led to the mayor pressuring him into doing things under his will instead of what Kaelus thought was God's Will.

Nigel is a professor within the school and so he works closely with Mrs.Cherrywood trying to get involved with the faculty so then he can put a stop to the children's meddling. He's very good at being able to calming in order to persuade people.

Salem is the cousin to Blaire and Salem's family was very rich and so she always looked down upon others because she knew how close the mayor worked with her family which made her think she was high above others.

Ariana is one of Salem's henchman and she is very impressionable and wants to just please other people no matter how wrong something is because she doesn't understand what's right and what's wrong. Her family did not come from a very bright background and so to be able to turn things around she does what she can.

She is the mother of Kat and Silas Rowan, her marriage has gone very sour and so she turned to alcohol to bury her pain, while drunk she takes things out on her kids. In the story the parents play a role against them but they aren't always scene.

Responsibilities:
Turn story concepts and episode outlines into complete scripts.
Write dialogue that matches each character’s personality and voice.
Add stage directions, timing cues, and emotional beats for clarity.
Collaborate with other writers, planners, and directors to keep tone and pacing consistent.
Revise scripts based on team feedback.
✨ Since scripting is a big part of production, we’ll need 2–4 script writers to share the workload. This way episodes can be written faster while keeping the story fresh and collaborative.

Ensure continuity, consistency, and tone throughout the series.

✨ Since this is a story-driven project, we’ll need about two concept planners / writers to collaborate. This allows for shared creativity, consistency, and a smoother writing process.
