Seeking Voice Actors for "Catch the Moon" - A Student Film
Project Overview
Looking for 2 male voice actors for my emotionally driven second year student film, "Catch the Moon". The film is planned to be an animated short between 2-3 minutes.
Synopsis: On a starry night, Javi’s father tells his son how far he would go to provide for their family, teasing how he’d support them from the moon. Javi, 8 years old, copes with his father's absence and the bittersweet memory as he ponders the moon, pretending to catch it as his father once said he would do for him. Javi calls his father, countries apart, reconciling with the knowledge that despite their distance, they still see the same moon in the sky.
Regular delivery is fine, but since this film takes place in Guatemala, preference will be shown to Spanish accents.

Guatemalan father. Carlos is a hardworking dreamer, worn down by life but holds high hope with what could be. I want his character to emit strength- his shoulders have carried the weight of providing for his family, but he will persist if it means his son could live a good life. He is tired, but has good humor.
I imagine Javi's dad's delivery to be closer to broken English, if that's doable (or at least a heavy Spanish accent). No worries if otherwise.
The full script calls for 11 lines for Carlos (154 words).

(Tender. He is leaning down to his son, pointing out the moon)
Do you see it? Fixed right between the stars? ...You'll find me out there someday, up with all the hardworking people.
(Driven and hopeful.Sincere. He waves his hand across the night sky)
And then I'll send my space carrots, and beans, and you will eat well, and Mamá would never have to worry about working again!
...I will provide.
(He is tired from a day of work but shows tenderness towards his son)
Yes, mijo. The sky is clear. Is there something up there you wanted me to see?
Javi is an 8 year old boy living in Guatemala. His father left to provide for his family in America, but Javi misses him. Simply, he is a young child who misses his father. He wants to dream as big as his father does, and looks up to him greatly.
The full script has four lines for Javi, plus some grunts as he attempts to catch the moon.

(Hopeful)
Is it cloudy where you're at?
(Bashful, almost.)
The moon.
...
Yeah, the same one that I can see back here at home.
(Hopeful. Javi chuckles.)
So... the sky is clear?
