Project Overview

INTRO: Welcome! If you're here, you're wondering what the heck that mysterious link you just clicked is all about. You're thinking, "Wow, that title is chill...and long...and very friendly". Well, first off, thanks that means a lot I put a lot of thought into that title (not). Secondly, I'm gonna tell you what this is all about!



BACKGROUND: "Urban Legends" is a series I've had in my brain for years now but never turned into an actual story. It's about danger, paranormal monsters and ghosts and UFOs, and family road trips. I gathered much of the inspiration from long family trips to different states that I was FORCED to go on.


THE PLOT: Melody Grayson has just turned sixteen years old. Her parents decide to surprise her and take her on a road trip around the country (meaning all 48 states not surrounded by sea, sorry Hawaii and Alaska). She hates the idea of this, but goes anyway because she has no choice. Along the way she discovers paranormal creatures and monsters, and discovers a huge conspiracy that she's somehow involoved with.


MORE ABOUT THE SHOW: This casting call is for the pilot episode only, so keep that in mind. There is no commitment besides the first episode, but if it turns out well received, and all the voice actors are on board, I might turn it into a full mini-series, with a finite amount of episodes.


NOTE FOR THE AUDITIONERS: Yes, yes, voice acting is a serious business. But, if you're casted, HAVE FUN! IT'S FUN! If you aren't, don't worry, there's plenty of other parts around the pike for you to get! Lines can be sent to me whenever it works for you, there's no rush in the artsitic process. However within a week would be cool idk whatever. Also, just a side-note: I'm not able to pay people as of now. This may change but I'm not sure as of now.

  • Hey Guys So This is Still a Thing and I Need One More Voice Actor

Melody is the main character in the show. She just turned sixteen when the show starts, and is now being forced to go on a country-wide road trip with her two optiistic parents. She HATES family bonding, so this is her worst nigthmare. 



CHARACTER: She's sarcastic, blunt, and has a dry sense of humor, but also has a good heart. She's prone to freaking out when she's in danger, but rises to the occasion as to protect her family, who she genuinely cares about. She loves her family more than anything, but you'll never hear her say that. Ever.


FUN FACTS ABOUT MELODY: She's had a crush on the same girl for ten years. She loves pretzels. Her favorite band is Lemon Demon. Look it up. It's actually pretty good. Melody also is afraid of not being in control of a situation, which happens quite frequently on her adventures. Also her birthday is on Halloween, so that's pretty cool! She's not necessarily "short"...but...yeah, she's pretty short.

  • (Kind of pissed) Let me get this straight, just so I can digest this...you two thought it would be a good idea to rent an RV, travel ALL AROUND THE COUNTRY TO ALL 50 STATES, anf you're taking me along too so that we could all "bond"?!

  • (Sarcastic) Wow, how magnificent...

  • (Sick) I think I lost my appetite.
