Project Overview

Scary Stories from across the globe is a fictional audio drama where two young adults create a podcast to tell urban legends, horror stories and more!

This series is rated 16+, due to swearing, violent imagery and mentions of discrimination, abuse, drugs and sexual content.

Synopsis:

Ex-film student Damian meets Ellyse, a horror fanatic interested in helping out on his new podcast. The two of them tell their best scary stories, urban legends and engage in banter in a roughly 30-minute segment per episode.

Voice actors:

  • Due to the series being rated a 16, you must be 16+ to audition. Please state your age in your audition.

  • Discord will be the main form of communication, so please include your tag in the description of your audition.

  • We do not expect voice actors to have state-of-the-art mics, but please ensure that you are audible and there is little to no background noise or peaking.

  • Since this a fictional podcast, it is recommended that you calibrate your lines in a chatty tone, rather than a formal manner. This is not required, but it will make the podcast seem more realistic.

  • If you are auditioning for an additional voice, feel free to submit your demo reel.

    Hello! First of all, I’d just like to say thank you for the submissions we have received so far. It’s been great listening to your auditions.

    We have a few announcements;

    Firstly, we have decided to extend the deadline to give more people a chance to participate in this project, and so we have more time to promote it.

    Secondly, we have created a twitter account https://x.com/CMFSProductions and support would be greatly appreciated! We are trying to promote our project on there to get more submissions.

    Third, we have also created a discord server. https://discord.gg/qCRWqApM If you are interested in our project, consider joining, as you will be able to talk with other people and can ask for feedback on auditions!
