John Egbert is a character in Andrew Hussie's Homestuck. John is a thirteen year old boy whose birthday is on April 13. He is the first kid to be revealed and one of the four kids (along with Rose Lalonde, Dave Strider, and Jade Harley).

Dave Strider is one of the main characters in Homestuck, and the third kid to be introduced. He is obsessed with being cool, which manifests itself in his unceasing pursuit of new ironic depths. When the original name "Insufferable Prick" was about to be suggested, he slashed the entry box right in half with a Ninja Sword because he's just way too cool to put up with that kind of bullshit.

Aradia Megido, also known by her Trollian handle, “apocalypseArisen”, is one of the trolls. The handle she uses alludes to two things within her life. One, “apocalypse”, refers to the end of the world, which she considered important. “Arisen” relates to the fact that she has died multiple times, but has managed to come back, or "rise from the dead", in a way. “apocalypseArisen” could also refer to the fact that she uncovered the Sgrub Beta, which causes the apocalypse. "Arise" is also an anagram to Aries (♈), her associated zodiac sign and horn shape.

Tavros Nitram, also known by his Trollian handle “adiosToreador”, is one of the trolls. His handle may refer to bullfighting. A “Toreador” is a bullfighter. His huge bull horns having to do with his associated zodiac sign, Taurus (♉), The Bull, could be the reasoning behind “adios”, meaning "goodbye", and an instinctual disliking towards bullfighters.

Sollux Captor, also known by his Trollian handle, “twinArmageddons”, is one of the trolls. His associated zodiac sign is Gemini (♊), and he has two horns on each side of his head, as the number two and duality are a theme for him, because of his relations to Gemini. His duality theme is also a reference to binary code, because of his talent at computer programming. He also has very strong psychic powers.

Karkat Vantas, also known by his Trollian handle “carcinoGeneticist”, is one of the trolls and one of the main characters in Homestuck.
In addition, both components of his handle serve as a form of foreshadowing, as he is a geneticist of sorts (being the creator of the pre-scratch and post-scratch trolls) and genetically breeding cancer into Bilious Slick.

Terezi Pyrope, also known by her Trollian handle, “gallowsCalibrator”, is one of the trolls and is one of the main characters in Homestuck. Her associated zodiac sign is Libra (♎), she was introduced in Homestuck: Act 4. She has pointy teeth like Karkat, but her horns are perfectly conical as opposed to being curved at all like most other trolls - this is likely to represent the empty space between the strings that hold up the pans in a balance scale (a callback to her associations with balance.)

Vriska Serket, also known by her Trollian handle “arachnidsGrip”, is one of the trolls. She was the eighth troll to be introduced, which also refers to her theme and obsession with the number eight. Her handle relates to her in two main ways. One, “arachnids”, refers to her interest in and fascination for spiders. The “Grip” part of the handle most likely represents her power to have a grip on someone's mind, or control it. Her associated zodiac sign is Scorpio (♏) and her horns are shaped like a pincer and a stinger.

Meenah Peixes is the Thief of Life and Feferi's dancestor.
She wears dark grey pants and a black shirt, similar to Terezi's clothes. The shirt has a fuchsia Pisces symbol. She also has fuchsia and white sneakers, gold bracelets with what appear to be fuchsia gems, colored glasses, and gold piercings on one of her eyebrows. She wields a golden 2x3dent as her weapon, which looks the same as the one wielded by Feferi. Her hair has a pair of long, thin braids that trail on the ground behind her. She has fuchsia colored blood, as one would expect. Her horns are identical to Feferi Peixesand she uses a quirk similar to Feferi's, substituting )( for capital H, -E for capital E and using "-in" instead of "-ing". She is a Dersedreamer, and the first troll to be known by her name first, rather than her Trollhandle.

Kurloz Makara is a purple blooded troll who lived on Beforus shortly before he and the rest of his session caused the Reckoning. He is the Prince of Rage and Gamzee Makara's dancestor. He appears to be some sort of a mime, a parallel to Gamzee's clown theme.

The Midnight Crew is a group of antagonists originally paid to appear in Problem Sleuth through a donation by Mayonaka, their original designer during a series of tabletop games. However, since their use in Andrew's following adventure Homestuck, they have grown to be major characters within the story.

A cheru8 of his alignment is seemingly motiv8ted 8y little other than to conquer and destroy. From a 8ioexistential perspective, they 8ehave somewhat like viruses attacking the system from within. 8ut as with all sym8iotic organisms living within a universe, there are 8alancing factors. While those inha8iting an evil cheru8's territory will regard it as an unpredicta8le tyrant, those in the territory of a good cheru8 will likely come to view it as a protector, waiting quietly for millenia in deep space, ready to attack any encroaching threat. In that sense, they are not unlike cells in a universal immune system.
Due to his indomita8le nature, I 8elieve victory over his sister was a foregone conclusion. 8arring a highly impro8a8le glitch in causality, it would 8e almost impossi8le for her to predomin8te over someone like him. And even so, he didn't have the patience to w8. Unfortun8tely for everyone to ever exist, he discovered a way to predomin8te early. Yet it was not this act alone that would prove ominous, so much as the means through which it was achieved. He was allowed to 8ecome the solo player of a game which his kind was never meant to play.
