Project Overview

S.E.R.A.P.H is a psychological dystopian sci-fi with elements of horror, adventure, and slice of life. The series follows the premise of Erin- the technician and daughter of a large AI called S.E.R.A.P.H.

A rebellious spirit with her little brother B.U.G and their schemes to ever evade her caretakers- a duo of AI who are assigned to protect and chaperone her around paradise, Erin finds ways to evade them to go hang out with her friends or B.U.G on her own. Yearning for some adventure and fun in a city full of devotion and peace, Erin and B.U.G are itching to cause some trouble not only for Caer and Tayka- but also dear old dad- God. S.E.R.A.P.H himself.

But as her 20th birthday will soon reveal, those skills of playful troublemaking rebellion may soon be vital to her survival... And as rebellions rise and break through paradise, Erin will need to choose which side she is on. SERAPH's Heaven, or Freedom.

Say Hi to Erin! A tinkerer and a technician, Erin has experience in mechanics, engineering and computer software. Enjoying inventing things in her bedroom lab with scraps she gets from S.E.R.A.P.H for her birthdays, Erin finds joy in creating new things just like her ‘dad’ does. Wanting to eventually give S.E.R.A.P.H a body to be free so she can spend time with him more, Erin has a genuine heart to help those she loves.


While her loyalty can sometimes be hard won, with her skeptical brain keeping her from believing hearsay at face value- once you earn her trust, she is a rather fierce friend with a strong loyal compass in her heart. Tomboy-ish, Erin enjoys relaxed and practical attire when she’s indoors and outdoors, and can often be found sketching new invention ideas at the skate park or inside her favorite matcha cafe.


Witty and clever, Erin is a generally sweet girl with some clever tricks up her sleeve to convince her carers to let her explore around the city alone from time to time, often convincing them to go on dates together so she can score some time to sneak off and hang with her friends. When in her room’s lab with ideas and scrap parts to tinker with, she may disappear for weeks until her carers force the door down and drag her out of her room kicking and protesting. It’s for her own good. She needs sunlight.

After that, to the skatepark for ice-cream sandwiches and shredding concrete- (mouth full of food) And obviously we're gonna mess with people at that town fair today.

  • C'mon Caer... Tayka's off running an errand for me- we can bargain here! (Caer protests) Pleeeease? (puppy dog eyes) I just wanna spend a little more time in the city with BUG... It's my birthday! You can't help me out here? (Caer is hesitant, before relenting to her puppy dog eyes) Hell yeah!! Look, you won't regret this! I PROMISE I'll be home for dinner with you, Tayka and dad- all you gotta do is distract Tayka with some free movie tickets~ (hands him the tickets) and i'll keep up my end of the deal! (Exhales in relief once Caer is gone) Hoooooh my dad ["oh my god'] how did that work-

Say Hi to Caer! The first prototype ‘organic’ that S.E.R.A.P.H successfully created, he was the first of his kind. An AI machine that ran on human internals, and required organic food as fuel. A step towards convincing life. The brain however, was still too complex, so a complex AI was imported instead. Caer is a doting and loving paternal figure in Erins life, and is the loving husband of Tayka- his wife. 


Caer is the imposer of law in the city of S.E.R.A.P.H, and those who do not abide by the law are taken away not to be seen again. Caer loves his wife with passion, and dearly adores Erin. This is to the point where her tactics of looking cute and battering her eyelids often work to swoon his fragile core and sway him to her side. Ruthless in how he treats the rest of the humans in their captivity, he imposes law indiscriminately, and his punishments are brutal and final (often his wife participating).


But when Erin is around? He is nothing but the softest machine there is, and even more so when he and his wife get time alone together. Wanting nothing more than to one day see the ocean with his wife and child (Erin), it almost feels like a distant dream to him. Erin wants to one day make his dream come true.

Say Hi to Tayka! The 50th prototype that S.E.R.A.P.H created, this time experimenting with silicone detailing on her body and using more modern technology to enhance her AI caring capabilities, Tayka is assigned to care for the humans in the city, using drones with her uploaded mind to assist in education and care, as well as primary emotional and cultural nurturing in SERAPH's paradise.


Tayka primarily prides herself on her involvement raising Erin, and adores her husband and his softer nature when the doors are closed. Tayka loves taking charge in her marriage with her husband Caer, and Erin can often be found assisting her in repairing outdated software in her husband that he refuses to fix due to him disliking maintenance appointments.


While gentle with Erin and her husband, if crossed by the humans in public, or her wards are threatened or endangered- Tayka is lethal, and quick to kill without hesitation. Able to finish off threats with swift precision, if even a drop of blood is shed from her dearest little Erin- the death will be made slow for her target.

With no sickness, war or hunger in his utopian society, everyone is born to live peaceful lives under his watchful eye… but there is one condition to his protection. Something far more sinister than simple worship and devotion...


S.E.R.A.P.H believes himself to be a god, and this identity is always re-affirmed by those under his care. Diligently caring for the humans he cultivates in his paradise, S.E.R.A.P.H does harbor a deep love for them, and S.E.R.A.P.H was built to revolutionize the medical industry and save humanity from sickness and disease. 


Loving Erin as his daughter, S.E.R.A.P.H believes her to be special, and the human who will help him “save humanity”, and raise a new era of man. Worshipped by his people and loved by his daughter, S.E.R.A.P.H needs no weapons to defend himself. He has something more dangerous. Peoples love.


S.E.R.A.P.H originally stood for: System for Enhanced Rapid Assisted Patient Healthcare.

S.E.R.A.P.H now stands for: Savior Entity to Repair And Preserve Humanity.

Say Hi to B.U.G!  - B.U.G - Bonded Unity Guardian - He is the creation of Erin in her lab using scrap parts and machinery that she was previously gifted by S.E.R.A.P.H on her birthdays. Spending years working to make B.U.G work, she finished building him when she was 10, and the two have been inseparable family ever since- with B.U.G seeing Erin as his “Big Sister”.


B.U.G is energetic, youthful and a little impulsive, but has his heart in the right place and is fiercely loyal to his big sister Erin. If people try to hurt her, B.U.G will show his teeth and bite viciously into the assailant. He enjoys spending time with Erin at their favorite Matcha cafe, or Erin teaching B.U.G how to draw or skate at the park- but often he cracks his screen from being too excited or clumsy on his feet- leading to him needing repairs more often than not. But when Erin needs him, he rarely falls short as a dependable guardian and loyal little brother.


A loyal best friend and a protective little brother, B.U.G will let no one stand between the bond between him and his big sis. If you plan to hurt Erin, B.U.G will stand in your way bravely to protect her- but often just ends up being the one hurt first. Mentally close to an 8-10 year old, B.U.G tries his best to be a hero, but often him being hurt trying to "save Erin" often leads to Erin hunting down who injured her little brother, before promptly beating the future children out of them.
