RWBY Thoughts Nora Edition
Project Overview
A year ago, we started a series of RWBY fan videos called "RWBY Thoughts." The premise of which is to take everyone's favourite scenes and characters and let everyone know what they're thinking via narration. These thoughts can be in character or out and can range from comedic to more serious in nature. The original video featuring Oscar and Ozpin has been very well received and as of this writing is sitting at 120K views with other videos in the series regularly pulling in 20K plus views per video. Of course, with viewers come requests for other characters. And there have been many requests for one character in particular. That’s right. It’s Nora Valkyrie. It’s hammer time, baby!
Directionally, we aren't aiming for 100% impressions here. The most important thing is to be close enough to the original voices, while remaining in character. We like collaborating with acting talent and you’ll have free reign to voice the lines how you see fit, unless otherwise specified in the script. We will only overrule a reading if necessary. Heck you can even ad-lib some lines, as long as you deliver a take with what’s written.
Although we can not compensate you financially, this is a wonderful opportunity to add a piece to your portfolio that has a sizeable audience. Something which can be used as leverage to secure yourself paying gigs in the future.
This is a one-off video. We do not intend to make a follow-up to this one.
In terms of editing, raw takes are ok as we’re used to editing those out when we do the voice-overs and editing ourselves. You are of course free to edit them down if you see fit. For technical specifications, WAV or AAC preferred, MP3 acceptable. Sample rate should ideally be 44100hz. Audio should be mostly free of background noise and have a minimum bitrate of 64 kbps with 192kbps or more being preferred. And yes you are welcome to audition for more than one role.

Does she really even need an introduction? At long last our request for Nora Valkyrie will be fulfilled. Imagine everything that Nora is in RWBY Chibi and a bit more hyper sprinkled on top, and there you have it. Please note that the dialogue will contain mild profanity, sexual themes, and references to violence. If you are not comfortable with that, please do not audition.
Context: *When Hazel electropunches Ren*
Nora: You know, I don’t know your story, who hurt you, why you’re here – none of that. But what I do know is… no one touches my man!
Context: When Oscar / Ozpin first shows up
Nora: OH MY GODS HE’S ADORABLE! Can we keep him Ren, can we?! He can take my bed and we can share yours! It’ll be like we’re one big happy family. Only that he’s not our son... and he’s actually our teacher... and we’re not legally married… yet.
Context: Nora’s hammer is caught by the Nuckalavee’s arm and she dangles above Ren. She notices that he has a clear line of sight up her skirt.
Nora: Stop looking!
Ren: Gah! *He averts his gaze*
Nora (In her head:) No, but really keep looking.
