Romeo x Juliet the Anime - Ep. 1 Scene Fandub

Project Overview

Greetings and salutations! No time for dilly-dallying, let's get right into it! I have no idea what I'm doing, so might as well get it over with!

Romeo and Juliet is a famous play written by William Shakespeare, and the anime adaptation by Funimation Entertainment is what I plan to dub today. As a huge fan of both the classic, the adaptation, as well as Funimation; I want to get a little courageous and put my own spin on this little classic.

I only plan to fandub ONE episode. However, comma, if it becomes popular enough; I do plan to do future episodes. What episodes may you ask? Well, I don't know! If things go smoothly, then I just might ask you to pull out your favorite moment so that we can fandub it! This might rub you the wrong way, but honestly: I feel the same way.

What You Should Have:

Confidence
When performing in front of a live audience or acting for a role behind a mic, what an actor must have is confidence in their performance. When acting, you gotta find a way to BECOME the character you are trying to play as! I want to hear emotion when you say your lines! You already have a lovely voice, so why not express it?

A Decent Mike
It doesn't need to be amazing or anything, but I would really like it to be mostly clear and not have too much static or peaks. Background noise, like a soft fan, is okay; I can muffle it out when editing.

*Update: Everyone will be getting a role as there is always room for background voices! For any gentlemen who audition as either Romeo or Benvolio and are not selected in the end, I will have them play as extra soldiers. Of course, if you don't wish to waste your time with that, feel free to let me know ahead of time!

    Ladies and gentlemen, today is the day! In just a few hours, I will no longer be accepting auditions and will start making decisions for the characters you have auditioned for! I really appreciate your time auditioning for this project! I think that the lot of you have very lovely voices! I wanted to inform you all that since not everyone will be casted as the person they have auditioned for, there are still many voices needed for background characters.   • Last Chance! Final Deadline set

    Alright, the time has come. I have pushed the deadline to the 28th, 9:59 AM PST. This will be the last time for anyone to audition, so feel free to spread the word about the project! Regarding the cast, I'm narrowing down the list (as this was posted on numerous voice acting websites) so get ready! I've updated the description of this project, but I will say it again here. Everyone will be getting a role as there is always room for background voices! For any gentlemen who audition as either Romeo or Benvolio and are not selected in the end, I will have them play as extra soldiers or the extra bystanders/shopkeepers. The same goes for the soldiers-- if there are too many, I might have a few do double roles and play as some background characters. Of course, if you don't wish to waste your time with that, feel free to let me know ahead of time by PM-ing me.

One of Romeo's close friends. He is the son of the mayor of Neo Verona and one of the few people concerned with Romeo's well-being. He often acts as Romeo's voice of reason and moderation. He is very level-headed and well-mannered. However, I'm going to poke a little fun at him, so his personality might appear different.
