Project Overview
Hello! I'm Alex, and I would like to hire on a musical composer and a sound designer for my 2D animated Thesis Film, Ring of Roses.
Synopsis
A bold and confident young matador wins the hearts of the audience via a wonderful display of his favored profession, slaying horrid monsters in the ring of a futuristic stadium. However, he will soon learn that he is not simply slaying mindless beasts, but sentient creatures, all with souls of their own. The real struggle will be between living in the adoration of the crowd and living with himself.
Project Details
This is a 3 minute sci-fi action film. Services will be paid, but it is important to note that I am on a student budget (Both positions will be paid a flat rate of $175). Payments will be done through Venmo (However I am open to alternative payment methods). Applicants must be 18+.

I'm willing to negotiate a fair rate for the position, but please keep in mind that I have a limited budget.

I am unable to boast an extensive knowledge of music or its production, but I will be happy to answer any questions you might have on how to best fit the style and production of the film to the best of my ability.
This film is very high energy and action packed, focusing primarily on an intense fight sequence. However, the second half of the film has a more emotional resolution. Since the film is taking heavy influence from the brutal sport of Spanish bullfighting, I intend for the music to follow a passionate and lively flamenco style.
The tracks linked below are intended as inspiration and were used as placeholders in the animatic to express my vision for each segment of the film.
Beginning

Triumphant and energized, this track is meant to invite challenge as The Bull is introduced to The Matador and combat begins.

With his ego stricken after a fierce blow, The Matador steels his resolve and with much anticipation, baits The Bull into a final strike.

Ending

The Matador comes to the realization that the beast he is facing is nothing more than a scared animal, but must now choose between sparing an innocent life or the crowd's demand for blood.

The film contains many different kinds of sound effects and foley ranging from impact clashes, monstrous beast sounds, to crowds cheering and booing. You would be tasked to produce clean audio to match the events in the scene throughout the film.
