RIFT - Audio Drama
Project Overview
Welcome to RIFT, a long format audio drama series brought to you by a core group of Voice Actors. The idea of this series is to create an audio narrative for a fantasy world and bring it to life. While key roles of this drama have already been filled, we are looking for a number of voices to help fill out the roles and truly bring this project to life.
Please see the below to see if you would fit these roles, and respond in kind.

Hook:
The Raging Rift feels as though it’s always been there. It’s existed since before my father, before his father, and before all fathers dating back to the calamity. It’s ravenous. it’s unrelenting. It’s all consuming. It’s a scar that disfigures the world; a blasphemous grin which bears its fangs at humanity as though it were mocking it.
As a child, my grandfather relayed legends of a demon lord who tore the world in two. Its intent, he said, was to eradicate all of humanity with one fell swoop. It summoned a blight upon the world, content to watch as human and creaturekind began to rot from the inside out.
But humanity’s arrogation never ceases. Whether it’s a demon, a god, or any other greater force— humans will persevere. We have endured this now desolate wasteland, and we will continue to endure still.
Here in the Raging Rift, there is no certainty other than death. Comfort, safety, security— those are all relics of the past.
Yet we learned to fight in spite of this. To fight was our faith, our religion, our salvation and our reason. To be human is to fight, and to fail is to die.
It is a bleak and barren existence. We aren’t able to live— we’re merely able to survive. To fight. To struggle until hope runs dry.
That is, until a hundred years ago. A prophet emerged and spoke whispers of hope upon the wind. His prophecy spread through the lips of humanity like a wildfire, proclaiming that a hero would emerge from the ashes of this broken world. That they would vanquish the darkness, destroy the blight, and close the rift.
Nobody knows what happened to him. Almost as soon as he came into being, he left. The only trace of his words was a glowing, glistening blade, left on the doorstep of the Church of Man.
This story, my friend, is the story of that hero.
This is the story of a girl named Elena.
