Retrace is inspired by 2000's cartoons. As such, I'm looking for a voice that sounds like it could've been from that era. Preferably, I'm looking for something with a little bit of a cartoony-ness/unique-ness to it, without being over the top.

That said, being able to perform the character's personality will be the highest priority for casting.
PERSONALTY: Andrew is a good hearted country boy who's just trying to help his mom and get by in life. Because of his parents divorce (And just maybe cause he's a teen) he has a tendency to be grumpy and irritable at times. Andrew's good with people when he actually tries, but can be awkward sometimes. Ultimately Andrew just wants a quiet life doing the things he enjoys the most- being in nature around the people he loves.
If you're more of a visual person, here's expression/poses of the character to help understand his personality better: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WLogwXQrp_Hq0HnCkIMplwU4Qzz6FZ8O/view?usp=sharing
VOICE: I'm looking for something higher, medium high. American accent. Sounds 10-12 yrs old, but not too young, more like on the edge of teen hood. That awkward pre-teen stage. Speech should be slightly more on the reserved side, but animated at times of awkwardness or panic. Andrew is not an anxious character, just awkward at times.
HISTORY: Andrew used to be more social when he was younger, but with judgement from the local kids due to the alien watch that got stuck on him when he was 6, and his parents divorce when he was 11, Andrew barely tries to make connections nowadays. He never wanted to be a superhero, but now at age 14 and stuck in the city he and his mom just moved to, he has to quickly figure things out or risk being a science experiment or worse because of the alien watch on him.
