Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles Audiobook Reading

Currently looking for someone that can create at least semi-realistic images that almost invoke the feel of an oil painting at times. Think of the aesthetic of the OG Resident Evil's pre-rendered backgrounds. Visuals are going to be accompanied by still character images that move slightly when they talk (think of Phoenix Wright). Will occasionally need an "action image" to emphasize certain moments, but it will all be fairly situational and discretionary. Feel free to work at your own pace.

I'm looking for someone that can give off a dooming/foreboding feel. This is the world of Resident Evil, where everywhere you go, darkness and corruption lies just underneath the skin. You will be reading full narrative descriptions as well as transitionary dialogue descriptors (i.e "X said" or "said X")

Co-founder of Umbrella Pharmaceuticals alongside his partner Oswell E. Spencer and close friends with Dr. Edward Ashford. Marcus is on the verge of discovering what will eventually become the t-Virus and is feverishly attempting to convince his cohort Dr. Ashford to bring it to Spencer. 

Someone who can convincingly pull off someone in their 50's would be preferred. The man is typically fairly neurotic, but in this he has a twinge of a smug yet prideful proudness for his virgining discovery. (I recommend looking up voice clips from previous media for inspiration)

One of the three co-founders of Umbrella Pharmaceuticals alongside Oswell E. Spencer and Dr. James Marcus, Ashford is an impossibly well off individual and a decedent of an historical British dynasty. In this, he is being convinced by his partner Dr. James Marcus to deliver the findings of his "Progenitor Virus" to Oswell Spencer. 

A particularly stuffy and skeptical man in his 50'-60's, he is reluctant to accept the, from his perspective, trivial findings of his partner take up even a little bit of his time.

An unfortunate soul who shares the unfortunate fate of being the first victim in our story.

Member of the S.T.A.R.S Bravo Team. He's always one to give the new recruit Rebecca a hard time, but eventually serves as an ominous prelude to her horrifying ordeal. His hobby was dancing.

The young rookie of the S.T.A.R.S Bravo Team, Rebecca Chambers was sent into the Arklay Forest with her team to look for a supposed serial killer, but instead gets thrusted into a nightmare that kills most of her team and forces her to learn the true meaning of survival.

Being new to the team, she still has some nerves she needs to get over, especially when her first mission comes to fighting horrifying monsters and hordes of the undead. This early in her career, she typically needs assistance when it comes to her own survival, as her inexperience sometimes causes her to get into situations that would kill her otherwise; but, just because she's afraid doesn't mean she isn't capable. She's still a trained member of S.T.A.R.S, which means she can and WILL put up a fight against whatever threatens her.

So, in short, I'm looking for someone who can pull off a young, inexperienced newbie that is immeasurably kind and cares deeply for her team, but occasionally has flashes of frustration or moments of crippling fear during especially intense scenarios. It really helps if you know the character from the games somewhat.

Vice-Captain of the S.T.A.R.S Bravo Team, Enrico Marini is a calm and confident leader that prides himself on his team and would do anything to protect them. He is valiant, no-nonsense and has a tremendous sense of honor. If only he knew that tonight would be the last time he would see his beloved team alive.

An ex-employee of Umbrella, Birkin hopes to keep the secrets of his newly discovered G-virus a secret from his former employers and will do whatever it takes to keep it from them. Even if it means working with some treacherous allies.

He's as neurotic as he is conniving. Birkin is a man willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for his obsession to keep the G-virus out of anyone's hands but his own. Think of a slightly more evil version of Herbert West from Re-Animator.

You know him, you love him and you love to hate him. Albert Wesker was the "captain" of the S.T.A.R.S Alpha Team, leading them into a dangerous situation to gain combat data for his real goal to use them as test subjects against the released B.O.W's let loose in the Spencer Mansion. His goals are thwarted by Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine, leading to his death and subsequent resurrection due to t-Virus merging with his unique DNA. Now, with a seething hatred for Chris Redfield, he now spends the rest of his days trying to enact the extinction of humanity; but first, must come the fall of Umbrella as we know it.

This man is the textbook definition of a "snake in the grass". His duplicitous nature is matched only by his seething inner rage masked by a façade of calculated thoughtfulness. This story takes place over the course of the night he died as a cocky spy that only looks out for himself and chronicles his evolution into a superhuman with delusions of Godhood hellbent on destroying all his opposition. 

This character, along with a bunch of the other main cast, have a very recognizable sound to their voice built off of generations of games, so I'll mainly be looking for someone who can capture their style as close as possible. Look into the source material (preferably his appearances in the games) for more of what I'm looking for. 

Convicted of a crime he didn't commit, Billy Coen escapes death row and hides in the Arklay Mountains, only to get thrown into a nightmare where he ends up having to protect the very person that was looking to turn him in.

Billy, being an ex-con, has a very abrasive attitude when compared to his unoffical partner Rebecca Chambers. He's cocky and full of himself, playing around with a "I'm badass and I know it" attitude. He's also troubled though, with a tragic and angsty backstory. Just picture the typical "young adult novel boy toy heartthrob" and you've pretty much got the voice down. Familiarity with his character from the games is a bonus.

The reliable communications operative for the S.T.A.R.S Bravo Team. Richard puts his team's safety above all else, regularly throwing himself in harm's way in order to protect them. Noble to the very end.

Former Soviet commander later hired by Oswell Spencer to be a high branch executive and leader of Umbrella's secret paramilitary group. Sergei makes it his mission to hound Wesker in his attempts to sabotage Umbrella from within and put a stop to him.

Former helicopter pilot for the S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team. Brad makes it a habit to run from a fight, even if it puts his teammates in peril. Although his role in the story is small, his cowardice is potentially the main reason why it occurs the way it does. 

The All-American, Boulder Punching, Strong Boy of the franchise, Chris Redfield! Redfield has had the most amount of history when it comes to the events of this story. Starting off as a member of the S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team and a desperate survivor in the remote Arklay Forest to being a bad-ass rogue with his sole mission to take down the company that ruined his life and nearly killed all of his friends. Chris, despite rank, is the true leader of the S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team. He is highly noble, respected and will stop at absolutely nothing to do what is right.

The Ass-Kicking, Lock Picking, Ultimate Survivor: Jill Valentine! Just like Chris, Jill was forced into a life of fighting for survival against zombies, monsters, bio-organic weapons and other forms of bioterrorism. An already talented combatant of the S.T.A.R.S. Alpha team, she has spent her time since the original mansion incident to hone her skills for survival and doesn't take shit from anybody. If you want anybody on your side, there's not much better to choose than Jill Valentine!
