Project Overview
WHO ARE WE?
Rift Point Productions is an amateur organization utilizing discord that attempts to take popular shows such as Star Trek and Doctor Who, and create our own audio spin-offs. With our unique storylines and dedicated team behind these productions, we aim to expand the universes in which these shows take place. We run our operations entirely off of volunteers, so although we wish we could pay our hardworking team, it is currently beyond our ability to do so.
What is our project?
Our current project is Renewal: A Star Trek Fan Production, which follows the crew of the ship Resurgence adhering to the Star Trek Online timeline. It features a diverse cast, promising around 8-12 episodes per season. Follow Admiral Ownsby and his determined crew as they venture out in the name of exploration!
How can I help?
We are currently looking for actors and actresses to fill the roles for Episode 9 of our series! We got some recast and some new roles! The most prominent is Captain Shon who is our first Legacy Character! Its mentioned in his page but DO YOUR RESEARCH if you apply for this character!
Requirements:
-Recording quality must be clear with little background noise.
-Once assigned to a role, please stay in touch with staff in case you are needed for private practice sessions!
-If inactive at any time during the duration of the project, you will be warned, and if you continue to be inactive, it will result in your role being replaced.
-We use Discord as our main platform, so you must have an account to continue to participate and access the scripts and other information.
-Be respectful to everyone! We all are volunteers who utilize our talents and passions to ultimately benefit the project, so be mindful of what you say!
-Above all else, be PROACTIVE! Ask voice actors to join you for practice sessions, ask for critique, provide ideas for Rift Point, and communicate in general! It's meant to be a community for those who join the Rift family, not a job!

Doyle is very much on the older side. He is both easily irritated but knows when and when not to listen to authority. He is also has one of the longer experiences onboard starships.

Don't know why I'm here. In this briefing, I mean. I'm a crewman, Certainly not an officer.
One thing you got to know, (beat) sometimes your instincts are better then orders.
The Haliian counselor of Resurgence. She is gentle, but firm and doesn't hesitate to get straight to the heart of matters. She, does, however sometimes forget that healing is a PROCESS and NOT an EVENT and has to be 'reined in' by Ownsby.

(firm) What Lieutenant Snyder needs are friends, Admiral. I know you're his superior officer...when he is on duty...but he needs help and support to get to that point...from friends. Be his friend. Help him know that you care about him. You don't need any training to be a friend to someone. You just have to care about them.

Captain Va'kel Shon is the current captain of the starship Enterprise. He has years of experience and history and carries all the skill and nerve need to uphold such a storied legacy.
Shon is a LEGACY character from the game Star Trek Online. Thusly we are looking for someone who can copy his voice from the game as close as possible. Do your research for this one
