TRIGGER WARNING! - Audio Short mentions/hints at Suicide!
Hello! Im JJ, and I'm a Post Production Audio Engineer. I wanted to add to my portfolio of Audio Post Production (Mostly Narrative Audiobooks, and stories told primarily through sound). So I wrote this short little story and I need some voice actors! Also a finished copy of this project will be given to the chosen voice actors to add to their character reels and portfolios as well.
This story is called "Regret" which is from the POV of Jamie as he retells the story of how his first love Lilly fell for another and slipt from his grasp, during a therapy session.
There are 5 characters to audition for! Aside from Jamie, the other 4 characters have only 1 line, with Lilly having 2.
Jamie - Lead (Majority of Lines)
Lilly - Supporting (2 Lines)
Alex - Supporting (1 Line)
Friend - Supporting (1 Line)
New Girl - Supporting (1 Line)
Please Audition in AABBCC or AAABBBCCC format. Please also list your equipment used for your recording, as well as your discord as thats where the project will be discussed further if you're selected!
P.S, since the other characters have so little lines, if you are selected, please keep your audition file as I will most likely just ask you to share that with me in the discord server. I will let you know & direct you if I decide to have you do the line a different way if needed.

Jamie (Male 20-25), is a young college student, going through therapy to discuss his regret about his first love. He should sound, well, Regretful, Somber, Angry, Depressed. This isn't a new memory, more like something he's been processing for sometime now and is finally trying to move on with.
(soft, confessional) It started simple. Just me and Alex. Two kids who clicked fast. Then Lilly came along. She made everything brighter.
But then she asked me out. I said yes. God, I said yes so fast.
(choked up) I thought time would give me the right words. Now I’ll never have the chance.
Lilly (20-25) the "Girl who got away". A college student, who asked Jamie out, but who discovered the feelings were missed place. She does genuinely like Jamie, but can't help but feel love for his friend. When that friend breaks her heart, she commits suicide. She's somebody who's depressed, and masks her true self to others.
(memory, warm) You’re easy to talk to, Jamie. You’re… safe.
(memory, hesitant) Jamie… I need to tell you something. I think I’m in love with Alex.
Alex (20-25). Also a college student. Is Jamies best friend since childhood. Except in terms of Personality, Alex is closer/similar to Bakugo from MHA, while Jamie was more like Deku. So think a Jock/Athlete whom may have been a good guy at one point, is now a dick.
(memory, smug) She chose me, man. Guess some people just can’t compete.
Friend (Any Gender, 20-25). Somebody who was a friend of Lilly & Jamie. This character is heard through a phone as they tell Jamie about Lilly's suicide. This character can be in shock, emotionally destroyed, or both.
Jamie… she’s gone. Lilly… she took her own life.
New Girl (20-25). Not much to say about her, since we don't know her. She could be another patient heading to therapy, a secretary working part time, or maybe even a therapist herself. What we do know is that as Jamie is leaving therapy, they bump into one another. A good ol Meet Cute moment.
(gentle, a little flustered) Oh! I’m so sorry, I wasn’t looking—are you okay?
